I am absolutely shocked at these other reviews. The reason I made an appointment was because of these raving yelp reviews. In comparison to the other teeth whitening places available in the area, this service seemed legit. First problem: I walk into what appears to be a nail and hair salon?? And I see him waiting in front for me. Immediately I got a bad feeling. What legit teeth whitening service is in a nail salon? I calm myself down though because I remember the great reviews he had. What crappy service has 5 stars with over 112 reviews on yelp?? He talks me through the procedure and is really friendly (that's how scam artists get you). He shows me my teeth color before the procedure on this tray of false teeth that he has and I'm at the very end at the darkest shade (what?). My teeth are pretty clean and not that yellow so this just makes me think that he rates everyone at that shade. He begins the procedure after some prepping and has me bite down on this gel while he turns the led light on. The procedure lasts 30 minutes. Second problem: After the procedure is done he has me rinse a few times into a bowl and then shows me my teeth into a mirror that he doesn't let me hold and a mirror that is weirdly tilted (probably at an angle to make my teeth look whiter). I immediately don't see a difference but honestly have no idea what to say to him. I leave thinking that I was scammed and that this wasn't a legitimate teeth whitening service. I told him after that I'll write him a yelp review but honestly I'm very disappointed in his service and feel like all of his yelp reviews were misleading and possibly fraudulent. After some serious digging I find some yelp reviews that mimic the same experience that I had. I'm out $110 now because I was scammed by Danny. Don't get me wrong he was very friendly and nice during the procedure but that's how all scam artists get you. After talking to my friend who is an actual dentist and telling her about the procedure she informed me that it's not how actual teeth whitening procedures with ACTUAL RESULTS are done. Do not come here!! If you see this review in the sea of fake good reviews please pay attention to this one!!! This is a SCAM. Do not waste your money on this!! Go to an actual dentist and dental studio and pay a little more money for an actual service that works!! read more

I originally posted a five star review, simply for customer service, but after reading and relating to the other low star reviews, I got upset and had to warn others. For starters, vivid smiles is a small station located inside a hair salon. When I found this out, I was about to cancel my appointment. I walked by and quickly checked yelp and saw 5 stars out of 99 reviews so I decided it would be a good experience... (my mistake for not reading the negative reviews then) Don't get me wrong, Dany was amazing. He was waiting for me to arrive and remained by my side throughout the whole process... but He made me stand up in a different part of the room to get my before shade. He said there's more light there... so naturally once the treatment was over, I went to go stand up in the exact same spot, but he stopped me. Instead he had me remain sitting, and showed me the results with his mirror titled in a weird angle so my teeth appeared whiter. At this point I knew I was scammed. ... I took before and after pics in the bathroom of the salon and my teeth look exactly the same. As the saying goes, you get what you paid for. read more

He preps you for whitening properly by having you brush, add sealant and directs you how to make the most of the procedure so you aren't swallowing peroxide. I should have trusted my gut when he identified as that guy because I tried his services over ten years ago in Century City and it was a scam then as it is now. Seemingly a kind, sweet, nice guy...tries to close you on the notion that he really cares, etc., does a lotta name dropping of so called celebrities, takes your money and in my case was over $100, but the proof is in the pudding and when he went to show me with a crazy slanted view with his mirror the end result, there was ZERO difference. I found a great deal on groupon that I couldn't pass up and the reviews seemed great so I went in. It's situated on a busy street but conveniently located next to a parking garage that offers two hours of complimentary parking. The actual procedure takes place inside of a hair salon, so be aware in case your looking for a business appropriately named. They take you to the back area where there are two chairs and the service is provided in sight of others in the salon. So if you would prefer privacy, this isn't for you. The man that completed the whitening was very sweet however I really didn't buy it. He compared my teeth and showed me the color he thought they were and where he suspected I would end up. He also gave me a complimentary teeth whitening stick to use, which I do like. I walked out and really couldn't tell the difference.
