She gave me a late 7 pm appointment because my work hours are nuts and she was very nice yet professional and absolutely fantastic with the spray tan. Her products actually smell good and my skin did not feel dry. I followed her very precise instructions and my tan lasted a solid 2.5 weeks. It would have stayed longer but I like my scrubs so that's only my fault. Even on the first day and first night it didn't rub off on clothing, or bedding. A tan without harmful UV rays that made me feel confident, and beautiful and I even stopped wearing make up. Yes please, I'm hooked!

When it was finally my turn, she answered another phone call again instead of helping me, and instead of putting the caller on hold, she continued the conversation while I was standing there waiting. Then another patient came to pay their bill, and she grabbed the cash and started running around trying to find change. The whole front desk looked disorganized and chaotic. I think the receptionist really needs better training on how to prioritize patients in front of her and handle the front desk professionally.

Tawil has been a premium no-insurance cash-only place since I started using them years ago. They also don't have partial payment or layaway plans. The only way you are getting this service without cash in hand is if your payment method is some kind of major credit card that is actually a real credit card with available credit to use. I am struggling to survive without an income and was really excited to be gifted a visit to this place! Their service is worth the money. I will detail more in a later review, but imagine a family of dentists who sincerely care, as do their staff. They have an incredible soundtrack and new matching classic rock and roll art - that appears to be made by a real artist on commission for this office. That means the world to me as a disabled artist with no work. If there were enough people hiring artists for commissions, I wouldn't be in year 4 of my no I come life. But I digress. My teeth were cleaned and checked with customization that reflected actually considering my past history and my current situation. They were extra careful to ensure all the stuck plaque under my gum line was removed. This is great because it was causing a bunch of problems. They checked the status of soft tissue abnormalities in my mouth and will track it in case it becomes precancerous. There was no wait to be seen or to pay, and great air conditioning was included with their recent renovation. I love the little baggie they give me with helpful products in it. I am SO jealous that my partner was given a MII Paste...I would tap-danced on my arthritic knuckles for one of those tossed in my goody bag. I am addicted to that stuff and the other remineralization products on the very stark international Dental market. Their hours and location are great. They're on Kings Highway near the N train. This office easily serves Kensington, Gravesend, Bensonhurst, and Bath Beach without need for bus transfers. You could walk, but there are lots of bus stops nearby and the train station. I take Uber if I am having problems....just don't expect to park a car because Southern Brooklyn is seriously not the place to experiment with this.

She takes the time to explain everything thoroughly--even though English isn't her first language, she makes sure you understand the process as best as possible. I've gotten both Botox and fillers here (and have tried Botox at other med spas before). Personally, I don't find Botox very helpful in achieving the look I want, so I stopped getting it--it just felt like a waste of money for me. But Juvederm fillers? That's a whole different story. I get them every year, and honestly, it's more like maintenance than anything else, because the results last so well. For example, my lips stay plump for a year or more--I've never noticed the filler wearing off or disappearing. Dr. Amina is amazing at shaping and making sure you're informed and comfortable every step of the way. Plus, she offers a free touch-up 14 days after your initial appointment, which is a great bonus. 10/10 if you ask me!

He quoted me $4,000, which was the right price, but he added an additional $1,200 for a temporary, which really took me aback. I've had bridgework done by three dentists other than Dr. Steinberg, and all three created temporaries on the spot, and at no extra cost, and when I mentioned that to Dr. Steinberg, he looked me right in the eye and emphatically said "I DON'T DO THAT." I know for a fact that lab work for a bridge costs $1-200, so Dr. Steinberg was going to put $1,000 in his pocket for that temporary which would have been included in the $4,000 with any other dentist I've ever visited. Dr. Steinberg may be a great dentist, but he's also a thief, so I'll never find out!
