Wonderful office with very professional staff from front desk receptionists , dental assistants,…read morehygienists and dentists. The quality of care is excellent and unfortunately haven't been able to get back there asap. So convenient bc it's a block away and it's a great office.

Dr. Diba redid my filling and said that all went well, however that my filling in the next tooth would also need to be redone imminently. As I was already numbed, we agreed she could do it then. I have had plenty of fillings before, but I have never had my head jerked around, sharp pain, and so much uncertaintly during an appointment. It ended with her letting me know that she drilled so much tooth that I would probably need a root canal. The office manager texted me the next day with several apologies, probably because the staff had noticed what a disaster it was. This was a dentist they were "trying out." I wish I'd been informed as much, and that a regular dentist had also been present. I haven't chewed with the left side of my mouth since, and rely on ibuprofen and tylenol for the pain. iSmile ignored my last scheduling text, and while was told that the owner was going to call me, but never did. They were paid well from both me and my insurance, the dentist was paid, and yet I have to undergo a root canal elsewhere. Obviously I've booked in with my previous dentist that is trustworthy.

Whenever she…read morecleans my teeth she takes the time to explain the areas I should focus more on, how I should brush certain areas, and *how* tartar and plaque build-up happen. She really helped me understand exactly why flossing frequently is so important, and gave me tips on how I could build the habit. Judgement free! Through, painless cleaning, too. My mouth is definitely in much better shape than it was before I started coming here. Some reviews mention that the office staff is rude but I've never once experienced that. Everyone has always been super nice!

Great front office staff, helpful and courteous. The office opens early. Dr. Kim is an excellent…read moredentist as well as a quick, thorough and painless "teeth cleaning" specialist. My wife and I are always satisfied with them. Billing is never an issue, either. Comfortable waiting area helps alleviate any "pre-dental-work" tensions, too :-) Only 2 minor quibbles: I'm 6'5 and the dental chair is a tad shorter than my body length (a common issue with big folks like me in any doctor's or dentist's office). Bringing along a small pillow for behind my head helped in my comfort: just a tip if you're tall. Also, because of my height, it was difficult to place myself bodily in their secondary x-rays-chair in one of their offices without contorting myself. But again: not everyone is 6'5 like me. The first set of xrays were the normal set taken in the dental chair which were not an issue...and they sufficed for the x-rays needed in my case. All that aside, Dr. Kim and the dental-office staff were great at their job(s), offer good dental advice and are pleasant to deal with. I'd recommend Norman Dental Center in Greenpoint to anyone needing care or cleaning. I wish my wife and I had discovered them earlier (we live nearby); we'd been going to another dental office, also in Gpt but farther away (I won't name them) and this not only was easier to get to but the care has been better, too. Not to mention: a front office staff that didn't screw up the billing and actually answered their phones :-)

I've been a patient with The Smilist for a few years now. Previously, I left a phenomenal 5 star…read morereview for Dr. Culpepper & my dental hygienist, Richard. Unfortunately, my dentist no longer works here but my dental hygienist is still here thankfully. I recently paid for their Smilist One plan insurance where it consists of 2 cleanings & updated x-rays. They also informed me that other dental services such as fillings, root canals, etc. will be discounted. During my most recent appointment, I was told by the new dentist, Dr. Nadig that I'll be needing one filling & a completely new root canal on a different tooth that already had a root canal done back in 2022 by Dr. Culpepper which he did an excellent job with. I paid lots of money (out of pocket) for my root canal & it was done very recently so it's absurd that I was told I need a brand new root canal on that tooth. Regardless, I went into another dental clinic to get a second opinion & they disagreed about me requiring to get a new root canal or a filling done. Not to mention, The Smilist claims to provide "huge discounts" if you have their own insurance plan but yet, they wanted to charge me approximately $300 for a filling & $3,000 for a root canal lol. How are these discounted prices if the maximum cost of a filling/root canal costs that much in NYC? I initially put a $100 deposit towards the tooth that needed a filling & when I asked to be reimbursed, I was obligated to wait nearly 2 months just to receive a paper check in the mail. Um, it's 2024, who still uses paper checks these days? Tf. Once my Smilist One plan ends, I will NOT be returning back to this place. It's obvious that without Dr. Culpepper or dentists like him, this place is going downhill.

I came to this office for tooth extraction and dentures, in severe pain. I am on medicaid and…read moreneeded emergency extractions so I could get dentures. I had someone willing to help me have my teeth extracted. Dr. Igor Deckhkanov and Dr. Howard Wang intentionally harmed me and refused me full tooth extraction and dentures. I have infection, bone loss, metal allergies and type 2 diabetes. Dentures are literally my only option. Dr. Wang cracked a tooth and broke two crowns extracting only four teeth. Dr. Wang refused to extract anymore saying they weee healthy teeth, which is false. CBCT proved him totally wrong. Dr. Wang charged over $6000 to cause me harm removing only four teeth for that ridiculous price. Dr. Dekhkanov charged $1000 to replace the temporary crowns Dr. Wang broke. They were on horribly decayed, painful teeth Dr. Wang refused to extract. The temporaries look like they were made by a preschooler. Their xrays and cbct were unusable by other dentists and were $600. Dr. Dekhkanov intentionally did not point out infection in my teeth and mouth. I had to point it out to him on CBCT. It is overt infection needing biopsy and culture. And then Dr. Dekhkanov prescribed me a pediatric dose of antibiotic to treat the infection he tried to hide from me. He and Dr. Wang refused to extract my teeth for dentures. I am already missing 10 teeth. I believe their refusal was an intent to prevent treatment of infection and bone loss. I believe they work with the shadow government in this metaverse who intend to cause harm to very specific people. Evil men. I have conditions which prevent me from being able to have further crowns and root canals. Dentures are the only option for teeth, and they refused. Please see the videos I uploaded of them refusing to extract my teeth for dentures and providing no option for teeth.

Took 3 months to get the right insurance, get it started, and schedule an appointment. At the appointment they asked me to pay full price ($350) and assured me I would get a reimbursement from the insurance provider. Month goes by, nothing. Two months, nothing. Three months I call the insurance and they say "we never got anything and that's not how we work, they send us the bill and then we send you whatever is left over." I called back the office, and they have now for OVER A YEAR, been giving me a "let me call the insurance and call you back." I get the same response every time. They tell me they never worked with that insurance and unsure why they said they did. They said they'll call the insurance and call me back, and I never hear back. I've called and texted them dozens of times and every time they say they'll call me back and they never do. The actual service is great, but their billing and management is horrendous. It should never be on the patient to figure out their billing and insurance issues. I've never had to deal with this with any dental office and it makes it impossible to recommend.
