Unfortunately, I have been a witness of too many spray tans gone wrong of friends and co-workers. Their mortifying experiences have instilled fear in me! Therefore, when I mustered up enough courage to get a much needed spray tan a few years ago for the first time (I am 30), I found "the best" and probably most expensive spray tanner in NYC. Well when my engagement photos snuck up on me a few weeks ago and I woke up one day with my summer tan gone...booking a last minute spray tan with my go-to was not working in my favor. At 11:00 at night only 2 nights before my shoot, I found myself scouring Instagram for a spray tanner. My fiancé didn't think it was possible for me to reach this level of insanity. I mean...after all the thought and energy I put into finding a spray tanner the first time around, I thought I was a little crazy myself. I found Julie - her pics looked great so I DM'd her. Not expecting a response, like ever, she immediately wrote me back! Unfortunately, with this short of notice and the fact that I live an hour away from her, I couldn't make any of her available times work. I lost hope and went to bed. The next morning when I woke up, panicking at the thought of pasty engagement photos, I messaged Julie again asking for recomendations. Again, she immediately responded! She asked me how early could she come...I responded with, now? Julie arrived promptly (it was as if dropped whatever she was doing and ran out the door for me - thats how prompt from this last minute appointment), set up her stuff and only a little over 24 hours from my photoshoot, she gave me THE BEST SPRAY TAN EVER! Due to timing, I had to do the express option. She told me everything I needed to know about when to wash off, etc. I even shaved right before she came (a no no). The first shower is a quick rinse. I have white towels and white sheets. NOTHING rubbed off. I didn't smell gross. The tan developed so natural and perfect and even over a week later as it started to fade away, it was such a natural progression and only barely left a few marks on my towels. Last time I got a spray tan from my old go-to, it started washing off very spotty on my and stomach - not cute at all - like I peeled from too much sun. This did not happen AT ALL. I even texted her a few times after the fact to confirm a few steps and again, super responsive!! My fiancé and I just kept commenting how natural it looked right to the very end. My photos came out amazing!! Julie is extremely professional and super reliable. 100% i am only using Julie from now on!!! Got my first spray tan from Julie and she made the entire process run smoothly! She's easy to get into contact with- prompt responses- answers questions and tells you what to anticipate during and after the spray tan! She made me feel very comfortable during the actual spraying. The color was dark enough to be noticeable but not orange! I got compliments from others who are experienced with spray tans on the color and the overall tan! By far the best experience with a spray tan I've ever had. I've been to MANY places prior and tried a few other tanning technicians and none of them delivered such a professional and perfect spray tan.
