It is hard to know what to expect from a school if you are new to schools. We just assumed the Goddard School was like all schools...but it is not. We know this now since we quit the Goddard School and started with another one about 3 miles away and have had a totally different experience. Just know that the Goddard School infant room is chaos. One of the ladies was always so flustered. Babies always, always, always crying. Bright florescent lights on constantly. Music playing all of the time. Babies just laying around on the floor. 5 month old babies "holding bottles" and "feeding" themselves. Babies in the cribs crying and not being soothed in any way. Pacifiers overused. Babies sitting looking at a mirror on the wall crying. No one ever looked happy there! Our baby was miserable and always red and swollen and voice was hoarse from crying all day. It was awful. We are so happy now that we are no longer there. My co-worker's baby had the exact same negative experience and I tried to push it out of my mind but...Trust your intuition! We've had nothing but a positive experience sending our two boys to The Goddard School. We get along great with the teachers and staff and everyone really seems to care about childhood development. They are professional, warm, and always willing to provide additional guidance and support to us as new parents. The building and facilities feel safe, secure, and clean. This last year of global pandemic has presented the teachers and staff with so many unique challenges and they've navigated each one effectively and with grace. Deep down I know that these wonderful ladies do a much better job of taking care of my children all day than I could ever hope to do on my own. The curriculum always blows my mind and the best part is receiving photos of my kiddos throughout the day. My favorite photo was one of my son laying on the ground and painting a "fresco" onto some butcher paper taped to the bottom of a table. Seeing them learning and engaged always brings a smile to my face. Had my 5 month baby go to Goddard and he would always come home hoarse and puffy. We thought maybe he's getting acclimated to the change and noise. Finally got to see the bad treatment first person when I dropped him off and went to the kitchen to drop his bottles. My boy went from calm when I left him to full on meltdown crying in less than 30 seconds. The caregiver was basically pinning him down on the crib using a pacifier. I left in tears that morning because I had to rush to work for an important client meeting. Wife went to pick him up 2 hours later and he was STILL CRYING. They may have nice staff but they are overloaded and possibly neglecting the babies. Please parents, look somewhere else! read more

Our infant son has been attending Goddard school since mid-February and we absolutely love it. The teachers in the infant room always seem genuinely love their jobs and I can tell how much they care about our son as well as the other infant babies. They keep the babies active all day (when they are not napping) and have many learning and developmental activities that include things like sign language, finger painting, self-help skills, and sensory stimulation. The directors also seem to be very engaged with the infant classroom and knowledgeable about daily activities. Every morning when I drop our son off, there is always a warm welcome as well as when I pick up my son, the teachers are always eager to share 'new' things our son has done during the day from something as small as 'a smile to a new stranger' or 'how happy he seemed to be outside'. All the little details count. I am so glad our son goes to Goddard School, I would not have it any other way! read more

Being first time parents, my husband and I were nervous to leave our baby in the care of someone else. Goddard was the first daycare we toured, and honestly, we cancelled our other tours and reserved her spot. She started at 12 weeks and is now going on 8 months. We can't say enough about Goddard. Our baby smiles all the time at her teachers when we drop her off and pick her up. They help with training (holding bottle, spoon, sitting in highchair), send us home with artwork, and give a daily report and picture of the day. The two teachers in her classroom (Hummingbirds) and the helpers that assist seem to genuinely care about all the babies in the room. We now joke that they do a better job at taking care of her than we do. We'd highly recommend Goddard! read more

My son has been at the Goddard for about 8 months now, and from the beginning has been a wonderful Establishment. My son is speech delayed and I had many concerns when placing my son in any school. I couldn't believe how much the owner Raul understood my son's needs and I enrolled him immediately. After being in this school for only a couple of weeks, there was a dramatic change in my son's speech. Now he is writing on his own and his own name. They have a great academic structure while still understanding the need for playtime. All of the Teachers are AWESOME (Especially his teachers, Ms. Juanita and Ms. Robin) and my son loves coming to school, and that should say something. My schedule has changed a couple of times and they have been very accommodating. They have created a very loving and fun environment, a home away from home. Great Place! read more

I would like to thank Raul and Isa for taking such good care of our 2 children the past 3 years! The Goddard School has been part of our extended family every day and could not be more impressed with the staff, facilities, and overall care our kids received from this school. They both started around 15 months old and would not be as independent and smart as they are now without the amazing teachers and staff here. Both our kids loved everything about it and we as parents felt so happy and confident in the choice we made for them. Now my son is starting Kindergarten and is so well prepared to move on to the next phase of his schooling. We will miss everyone at the school and if you are looking for a top-notch school for your children in South Austin, I highly recommend this one. read more

Our daughter has been going to Goddard School for a few months now, and she just loves it ! She goes in the morning, twice a week. The teachers are wonderful with the kids, I really like the way they handle them, appreciate the structure (even though the kids have some time to visit different activity centers and can enjoy activities they choose) and I was impressed to see that the class while "busy" remains well behaved (the teachers have it under control). I also left my infant in the nursery and was equally pleased. She did well, they sent me a pic of my baby smiling, and by the time I went back to pick her up, she was peacefully sleeping in a crib... Additionally, this is a new and clean facility and the management team is friendly, flexible and accommodating. They care and it shows !!! read more

I love this school. My 3 year old previously went to Stepping Stone and i never really felt like she got much out of that school. Now she is at Goddard and LOVES IT! They send home daily activity reports, which is nice so I can aske her specifically about what she did that day. I know she is learning there because the other day she broke out randomly into spanish counting. They have a weekly theme and all of the activities are related to it. Cant say enough good things. AND they are slightly more expensive than SS, but WAY less than Primrose. I think this is a GREAT quality school with a reasonable rate. read more

This place is the best! We enrolled when we moved here, and I came to visit to check out different daycares before we relocated from the Northeast. Not only did Isa, the owner take a lot of time with me, she also was honest about how long the drive would take to the school in traffic (as in, she wasn't trying to sell her school--she was trying to give me accurate information, and I really appreciated that). She was always accessible and the office staff was super friendly. But more importantly, we had great experiences with my daughter's first set of teachers. Miss Stephanie and Miss Adriana are incredible, and my daughter loved being the room with them. They were nurturing, reliable, and energetic, always happy to see her and she came home every day with a new discovery. I felt safe leaving my daughter at the school, and I loved that she was smiling when I picked her up each day. read more

Both of our kids have attended the Goddard school. ALL the teachers know their names, even the ones who don't have regular contact with them. The director knows what is going on with our kids on a daily basis. Our kids love getting dropped off. It is a clean and safe environment. The communication is fantastic. I feel safe and they listen when I ask questions or want to talk about my childrens' development. GREAT choice! read more

We have been at Goddard for about a year now and I cannot say enough positive things about this school. A clean and secure facility, a wonderful staff, and an overall happy environment. When we first started looking for schools they were the only ones with space and it is a 45 minuet trip for me, I was in school at the time and had no other options. I have completed school since and still continue to make the drive because of how much we love this school. My son comes home and shows us yoga poses, counts and speaks in Spanish, and also knows some sign language. He's only three!! The owners are so compassionate and accommodating, this rubs off on their staff. I never worry for a minuet about my sons safety, hygiene, or happiness once I drop him off. My daughter took her cap and gown pictures last week and it made me realize how time has gone by so fast. The time will come when we'll walk through the doors of the Goddard School for our last time in the Summer. My daughter's excited to start a new chapter in her young life(kindergarten). Ms. Isa, you and your staff have become like family to our family. I'm looking forward to our daughter starting kindergarten, but I'm not looking forward to saying goodbye. This is an excellent school. When I walked in to tour the school, I immediately felt the personal involvement of the owners. They met with me and wanted to work with me as a single mother. I knew, immediately, that this was the right environment for my daughter. I couldn't be happier. My daughter comes home talking about yoga poses and songs that they learned. She is already reading at age 5. She has a happy outlook and loves going to school each day. Every member of the staff and faculty smile at me and make me feel at home. I get emails with photos and updates daily. I have a joyful, inquisitive, and well-balanced child thanks to their efforts. I highly recommend this school. read more

We love this place. Beautiful facility, great teachers, and a great curriculum. Our 3 month old clearly enjoys his time here and the teachers are very attentive to his needs as well as those of the other babies in his class.
