Terribly understaffed, not Quality rated and no cameras in any of the classrooms. Majority of the staff has no degree, under an year of ECE experience. For the cost of tuition they're not trained to educate, just glorified babysitters. I would never sent my children to this location. Witnessed a toddler asleep outside on the playground floor. Do NOT send your child to Goddard in Dacula GA. The teacher and director turnover is high and it shows. My kids have a new teacher every other week, some are good and others not so much. The location does not do a good job training their staff for basic medical emergencies. For example, my child started having a seizure and her teachers were standing around not doing a thing. Luckily my wife, who is a nurse, showed up and was able to take charge of the situation. My son started having behavioral issues, after been moved up to a class that had too many students, instead of working with us to resolve the issue, they would call us at work and demand that we pick him up. The calls became so frequent that we had to remove him from the daycare and put in another daycare (he's doing fine in the new daycare). At this point we have been at the daycare for 5 years and have consistently paid them on time every month. Recently, we had a billing discrepancy, they were staying we didn't pay for a week of daycare, my wife spoke with the director (who is no longer there) and was told that she would reach out to their accounting department to resolve the issue. Turns out that she never reached out to the accounting department and they are now telling us that we are delinquent and they are going to kick my kids out of the school. Keep in mind, this course of action is being taken against parents who have been paying on time for the last 5 years... Bottom line, save yourself time, money, and major headaches by NOT putting your child in this daycare. read more

Our stay at this school was incredibly short-lived (5 days), yet rife with problems. The first (and least egregious) happened before we were even enrolled, when they said they had spots, but never followed up with our application, and by the time I followed up, there was now a waitlist. Very unprofessional, and it should have been an indication of what to expect. Red flag #1. However, the wait ended up not being long (in hindsight, that is probably because parents take their children out of this awful place), so we were able to start school a week later. We walk into this room, which was very hot and completely silent, no music or ambient happy noise from the 12 children were sitting at the tables and were greeted by... no one. There was a teacher in there, but she paid us no mind, even though it was our first day. Didn't look up, didn't make eye contact, didn't say hello, we could have been literally anyone. We had to figure out where to put his things, water, snacks, etc. It was the oddest situation and gave us a weird vibe. Red flag #2. Come to find out this cold confused greeting was because they had temp teachers in the classroom, and were going to continue to have temp teachers in all week. Not ideal for new students starting a new school, but okay. The second day I brought my son to school, we walked by the infant room, where a teacher was screaming at her co-teacher, and stormed out of the room yelling, "she is insane, I cannot work with her, get her out of here, where is Ms. Julie (the program director)" and slammed the door behind her. Her co-teacher was in the left in the infant room holding an infant with probably 4 more crawling around. Mind you, this mind-numbingly unprofessional interaction happened in the middle of the morning, during peak parent drop off, in front of countless parents and students. HUGE Red flag #3. I continued to see this teacher that had the outburst after this, which is shocking to me. What kind of establishment would not see that as a fire-able offense?? I'm sure the parents of those infants would like to know what goes on in that room, I certainly would never leave my infant with either of those teachers. Red Flag #4. We finally get to meet one of the real teachers in my son's class, Ms. Diamond. No change at all in the interaction with us- we still walk in with our son and now instead of some temporary teacher ignoring us completely, it is the official teacher, Ms. Diamond who does not greet us in any way. And honestly, I'm not looking for a lot here, but a smile, or a "hey buddy, how are you??", any kind of energetic greeting to set the tone for the day - that is what I expect from someone who chooses to work with 2- and 3-year old's all day. We got a happier greeting day in and day out from the front desk than we ever did from his own teachers. I should mention that the environment in this room is the same as the first day - always way too hot and eerily quiet. I have never in my life seen a group of two/three year old's just sit quietly in their chairs, not interacting with each other at all. It was so bizarre. Red flag #5. My son looked miserable in all of their "progress" pictures they sent, and the teachers were never able to give me a personal report at the end of the day. Red flag # 6. When we picked him up from his last day, again we walk into a classroom with 15 or so two/three-year old's all sitting at their tables, in what I believe is assigned seating (for two-year olds????), one kid crying his heart out (Ms. Diamond not caring at all about that), while another kid hops out of his chair and is sharply reprimanded by Ms. Diamond for getting out of his seat. The entire class was very militant and just so unlike any other preschool/daycare I had been in. If you are looking for a school that will turn your child into an obedient little robot in the name of "preparing them for school" then go for the Goddard school, I guess. We took him out of the school after 5 days, and told them "You know, it's not a good fit for us", explained our issues with Latoya (enrollment coordinator), and asked if there was any way we could get a refund since we only had him in the school for 5 days. Latoya said let's try to work something out, let me talk to XXX. Well 2 weeks and countless phone calls later, we were pretty much given the finger by Julie, the program director. Out over $800, and the school deactivated our account, so it's not like we could bring him in today if we wanted (even though we are still within our paid for month). They probably have a new kid in that spot and are double dipping tuition, which is pretty shady. For what it's worth, we have told all the preschools that we have toured in the wake of the Goddard school about our experience there and our expectations for a new school, and they have all been shocked, but not shocked that they are about the Dacula Goddard school. I called on Thursday to make an appointment to tour and was told they only do tours on Mondays and Fridays at 10am and 2pm. The lady had me call back when i was able to decide when i could come in. I called back and scheduled it for 10am Friday. I get there and they couldn't find my information so I wasted my time and energy(packing up a baby, stroller, all that jazz). The lady at the front desk didn't seem apologetic. If they cannot efficiently make simply appointments, how do they expect to take care of babies and children. They are incompetent and Im glad I didn't enroll my baby to have something down the line. read more

My daughter attended the Goddard School Hamilton Mill-Dacula over the Summer for their Summer Camp program. She absolutely loved her experience here! She enjoyed their in house field trips from a magician, to the Hip Hop dance instructor, to the Kona Ice truck to name a few. The curriculum exceeded my expectations as the lesson plans incorporated many STEAM oriented activities for her to do each week. Everyone we encountered were so kind and professional, from the front office, to the teachers. They always made my daughter feel welcomed and cared for. Having her attend The Goddard School Hamilton Mill-Dacula really made me as a father feel secure in my decision to enroll her in their program. read more

I went for a quick visit to pick up with a friend. Her daughter attends the school and is in the infant class. Everything is secure. Entering you must enter your name and a code to enter the building. Then you can enter. The classrooms are spacious and depend on the size of the children. We arrived close to 6 when a few of the babies were still awaiting pick up. The classroom was clean and organized. The assistant in the room was extremely helpful. She retrieved the child's belongings and shared about how the day went. My friend explained that each day she received a report to her email with the focus for the learning for the day, pictures and also general health info on changing of diapers, etc. The price seemed reasonable at a bit more than $200 a week. read more

My kid didn't go to school this particular day. The school sent me home a progress report for that day along with pictures of activities he was involved in. How can this be when my kid didn't go to school that they. They sent us old pictures. My kid also came home with a cut across his noise and bruise on the top of his head. I got some vague incident report that left out details of the incident. I asked to speak with the owner and director. Poor follow up. No one called to follow up. Seems to also be some billing issues. Waiting on an itemized statement to verify this. School seem to be short staffed. read more

I love this school. My daughters are thriving and learning so much so fast. I have a six month old and a 22 month old; my six month old does as many activities throughout the day as my 22 month old. This school is worth every penny. read more

The enrollment director wasted my time by telling me there was a spot available, therefore, she scheduled a tour on 01/02/2023. I was very pleased with the facility so I wanted to enroll my 2 year old. I requested an application and Latoya informed me that she will email me the application. I called the following day about the application and she mentioned that she sent an email. I checked my email and didn't received one. I called again and she said to check my spam folder. I checked my spam folder and it wasn't in there. I called again and she said she will resend it. I checked my email all day and still didn't receive an email. I called the following day to make sure they got the correct email. I gave the receptionist my email address. This was on Wednesday, 01/04/23. My dad decided to go to the school on Friday to get a copy of the application. My dad gave it to me on Saturday so I can fill it out and give it to them on Monday. I got my 2 year old and newborn ready to drop off the application on Monday and drove to the school to be informed that the spot is not available. I was very impressed with the school and excited about my son attending. I'm highly disappointed with the Goddard school. read more

My spouse and I wanted to try it out with our 3 year old. He wanted to go to school but there was no need for it. We went in with the intention to see if it was a good fit. We never signed any paperwork and were advised that we can return the paperwork if we wanted to pursue this schooling option long term. We paid $150 as a set up enrollment nd paid for more than 1 weeks worth of school in good faith that it will work out. My son went in and instantly we realized he was not ready nor would it be a good fit. After about 30 min we decided to leave and try again another day. The next day we went and left him for a half day to see if he will settle in. He didn't. We learned he cried the entire 4 hours and he was just not ready. We brought him home and he was physically sick the rest of the day. It was at that time we decided it just wasn't the right time and will try again next year. It is not the schools fault. However, we did pay ahead and did not complete any paper work to move forward. My son spent maybe 5 hours in the facility. We paid over $250. That is over $50 an hour to have my son cry. What made it worse is they sent pictures of him upset and sad to our emails as a form of their advanced technology. When asked about the funds that were allocated to the school, I was advised there is no way to receive a refund and I would actually have to pay for an additional 30 days! After 3 phone calls and hours removed from my job, I was able to have the 30 days cancellation fees removed and they would call it a wash and NOT refund for any funds not used for service. I will NEVER take my kids back! Nor would I recommend ever taking your kids here for the mere fact they are just out to pocket funds. When I continued to ask other ways to get a refund I was advised by a Ms. Sunshine, that they would call a lawyer if I continue to call and ask for a refund. So they would spend hundreds on a lawyer but not rightfully refund a little over a hundred for services not rendered? I had nowhere else to go but a review. Good luck parents. read more

This is one of the worst managed daycares I have ever been to . My child attended this school for about a month and a week and during that time period 5 employees left . The classrooms are almost always filled to the max so the price is not worth the attention/education your child is getting . I would not recommend this childcare center to anyone .
