I cannot speak highly enough of this daycare. I toured many daycares with my first child, worried about leaving him somewhere trustworthy and safe. When I walked into Goddard, toured the school, spoke with the staff I just felt safe and at peace. I knew this was the one. It's been 4 years since, now my youngest child also attends and I still have the same comfort each day when I drop him off. The staff is warm and caring, they are always attentive and friendly and willing to take the extra step to make you and your child feel loved and like family. Their curriculum is wonderful, hands on and interactive. My son comes home each day, excited about something new he learned and smiling about his day. The Goddard School of Marlboro is a strong establishment that builds the foundation for lifelong learners. Our daughter has been going to this daycare/ school a little under 5 years and has had a wonderful experience. As new parents, at first, we were so nervous to transition our child to daycare and were worried if she would be in a safe and nurturing environment. To tell you we made the best decision ever, is an understatement. She was excited to go to school every morning and wanted to stay longer when it was time to pick her up. As she developed to a toddler, she learned so many things and presented a vast amount of skills academically and socially, that will support her in transitioning easily to kindergarten. She has a healthy relationship with so many friends she has made in school. If it wasn't for the professional, knowledgeable, and attentive staff at Goddard I do not believe I would have seen so much progress as I do today. We have both our kids attending The Goddard School of Marlboro. They both love it and the activities that are planned through the day provide the right balance of learning and fun. The teachers are so engaged with the kids and develop them in a very individualized way. They are so wonderful with the children and the personal connection they have with each kid not only shows the pride they take in their work, but also conveys the love they have for these children. Overall experience not pleasant for various reasons. Their tuition is among the highest in the area and in addition to their "annual registration fee" (not sure what this includes) and the "summer camp fee" (which you must pay even if your child attends this school all year long). The parking situation is atrocious, as the school is situated on a very narrow strip of land and its very difficult to get in and out of the very narrow parking lot. Making matters worse, you can only enter the parking lot from one direction on Rt. 520 as there are no left turns allowed either coming into or leaving the lot. Lastly, the location is very busy as its close to the intersection of Route 9 and 520. Needless to say, rush hour drop-offs and pick-ups are chaotic to say the least. The classroom/school layout isn't great. The rooms are small and kids are in very close proximity to each other all day long. Plus each set of 2 adjacent classrooms share one bathroom which isn't ideal for obvious reasons, not the least of which there are no bathroom doors and therefore no privacy. The sharing of the bathrooms also leads to obvious cleanliness concerns.....which is all outlined within the **NJ State Inspection Report. The NJ State of Childcare Licensing conducts unannounced inspections of all licensed childcare facilities. The results of these reports are public and posted on their wbsite (njccis). Please refer to this website and read this schools most recent inspection report which cited a lot of violations, 17 to be exact! The violations relate to lack of cleanliness and failing to provide sanitary conditions including failure to disinfect changing areas, sinks, lunch table areas, etc. Also cited for failing to ensure staff & children washed their hands after using the bathroom!! School also cited for failing to run criminal background checks on their staff! I believe this is a cost-cutting measure which correlates to their primary focus of profitability. This report provides all the information you need to make an educated decision whether you should send your child here, especially during these times. I have had children in this Goddard school since 2006. The school is remarkably clean and well taken care of. The staff is friendly and qualified . If there had ever been an issue with anything the directors and owner would deal with the matter with professionalism and respect. My favorite part of this Goddard is that it stays ahead of the game with technology and teaching. My first born left overly prepared for elementary school. My 2nd son has grown so much with the help of great teachers in the past 2 years. We were worried he had delayed speech and I expressed that to them and they worked with him. They were also a huge help with potty training. This school understands the needs of working parents and helps make my day easier as much as they can. 5 stars for sure. read more

This Goddard School in particular is one of the CLEANEST Goddard's in the area. My Husband does the drop off and pick up of our son and unfortunately, he has to go SOUTH to drop him off to go NORTH with over an hour commute. BUT... we would not have it any other way. This school is worth the driving inconvenience and rates which are slightly higher than some of the other Goddard's. But, please keep in mind... YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. After researching and visiting some of the other Goddard's and other schools in the Route 9 North area and on the way to our jobs, we were NOT at all happy with what we saw. The schools were not tidy, organized or by my standards clean. When you walk in the doors at Goddard Morganville, you can smell the freshness. My husband and I are confident this is the BEST school for our child. The owner, staff and teachers take great pride in keeping the school looking brand new and clean. They also have won many awards within the Goddard standards network. Including the NAEYC, which is the nation's leading voice for high quality early learning education for children from birth to the age of eight. It stands for the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Yeah, I didn't know or care what that was, but once I reviewed it and saw what it takes to be a part of the association and saw how hard the owner, staff and teachers work to achieve this honor and award, I was extremely pleased we made the decision to have our son attend this school. I believe they have won it for 6 years in a row. My Son has been attending the Goddard School in Morganville, NJ for over a year and a half. Prior to that, he was cared for by my friend for the first 3 years and then it was time for Pre School. He started out in the Get Set Class. We were worried that it would be a crazy transition because he with anyone else for the first three years of his life... The transition went well and he was perfect! Actually, the owner told us he was the first child to not cry since she opened. I was amazed! He got right into their routine and began expanding his academic abilities. This school has a wide assortment of educational toys, games and supplies. They really do have the best selection and variety of school based learning activities and lesson plans. It's not your average daycare facility. It's a real school no matter what classroom your child is in. That is one of the best things I love about the Goddard Morganville School. Is that is seems no expense is spared on your child's education. Your child is in the best environment possible, and I truly mean that. We absolutely fell in love with our son's first head teacher Miss Maria. She is truly awesome! She is one of the MOST caring, loving, professional and down to earth Teachers we know. Our Son LOVED her and she loved our son... all her students for that matter. She is very nurturing and understanding. We were concerned that when he was moving on to the Pre School Class it would be an issue with the new teacher because he did not know her and was so attached to Miss Maria. Well, to our benefit, Miss Maria was moving too! So our Son was able to be with her from the age of 3 to about 4 1/2. The other teachers and assistants in his Get Set and Pre School class were awesome as well. Many of the Teachers at this school have extra special qualities and Miss Maria is one of them. Our Son is now in the Kindergarten Class and is learning at a whole other level. Although he is the youngest in the class and will repeat Kindergarten in Public School next year, he is getting a great foundation to be better acclimated young man to begin his academic career. It was actually the suggestion of his teacher and the owner that our son skips the pre k class and enters the kindergarten class because they felt he was ready for the workload and education. Some things like his behavior are still a challenge, but he is at the same level academically as the other children who are 6 months to a year older than him. The teacher and assistants are working on his behavior and also maturing takes a part in it as well. In both the pre k classrooms and kindergarten classrooms, they are working with computers, smart boards and other technological devices. I love getting a Tadpoles report and photo of my son daily activity and lessons. It's awesome. I get to see a photo of him either posing or working on an activity or in class project and I get a detailed report of what he is learning for the day. They are very good about keeping you informed of what your child is learning. I would also like to comment on the summer program. Simple- it's awesome!! Your child would love it!!! I can't say enough good things about this school. My daughter has been there for 2 years and I couldnt be happier. The teachers are incredible and the owner, Carol, is one of a kind. After sending both of my kids there for many years, I got tired of Carols (the owner) attitude. All she see's are dollar signs not kids. God forbid your payment is a day or two late she send you an email right away reminding you of the $50 late fee you'll get charged..... (really??? after all that money.... you have some nerve).... Mind you their rates are the highest around. The school is clean and safe but the staff is always changing from one 20 year old teacher to the next with little to no experience on teaching. Your child might end up with 3 different teachers a year. It's basically a big play ground for the kids, staffed with baby sitters. No structure, very little project work. Don't expect your child to come out of there advanced in any level of education. I'm not sure about the other Goddard Schools in the area but Carol makes it clear that right after you hand her your check your child becomes a dollar sign. I feel in this day and age, we are so quick to give a bad review, yet we don't spend enough time writing good reviews. The Goddard School in Morganville is definitely worthy of a 5 star review. I have one child that recently graduated Goddard, and one presently enrolled. Let me start with my child that has now entered 1st grade. Not only was she completely prepared for elementary school, but she excels in it. I have to give credit where credit is due, and that is to the teachers at Goddard. From the time that my child was just a toddler there, they instilled the love of learning all while having fun doing it. Each week the lessons were creative and educational. The teachers there are welcoming and loving. The school itself is beautiful. The owner, Carol, takes pride in the beauty and cleanliness of the school. The office staff is also very nice. My little one, that is presently enrolled, was always very attached to me, and I was so concerned that she wouldn't adjust. I am so pleased that she looks forward to school each day and treats it like a second home. It's not easy being a working mom, but Goddard made it so much easier. read more
