I was hesitant to go to a barbershop, afraid it would be like every other one where they're so quick to pull out the clippers and cut until you Got nothing left. After being disappointed with my last Barber, I've never been available when I needed a cup. I was very surprised. Paige's schedule is insane. Girl works like every day and is always available to squeeze you in. Not only was I impressed by her availability, but she really listens and understands the look you're trying to achieve. I have really short hair (lost it when going through chemotherapy), and when it grew back in, it was EXTREMELY curly. I first went to Irene for the bumble straighten. It worked great on my hair and added about an inch to the length..doesnt seem like much, but it made a huge difference for me because of its short length. It was also very gentle and left my hair feeling nice and soft. The second time I returned to Irene, she dyed it. I left the color choice completely up to her, since I've seen her other work, I trusted her judgement.. I was SO happy with the results. She completely transformed my look. There was hair everywhere, even at the entry as we walked in, and guys sitting in barber chairs waiting for customers but not cleaning anything. She is the only hairstylist who has never damaged my hair--and that says a lot, since I prefer to keep my hair light. Not only does she keep it healthy, but it always feels soft and looks beautiful when I leave. I've even had people tell me my hair looks like a Pantene commercial. What sets Sophs apart is her patience and her ability to really listen to what you want. She's also honest and will let you know if a particular style or treatment may not be the best for your hair type. Her haircuts are outstanding.
