I've been waiting for a good time to try The Good Bean and finally had a chance this morning. This is a neat little coffee shop right in the heart of Dover. I really love the whole revitalization of Dover and this new coffee shop fits in perfectly. I went with my go-to, a hot chai tea latte. My wife had a cold white chocolate, raspberry iced coffee. I tasted hers and it was delicious! I just have 2 issues/suggestions. First, the chai tea was only lukewarm. I had to stick it in the microwave when I got home. Second, they could expand the selection of pastries, it was pretty limited. If you're in Dover and need some caffeine, give The Good Bean a try! read more

Stopped in for an iced latte to-go before my massage a few blocks away at My Therapist Luciano. The iced Cinnamon French Toast latte was delicious! The description says it's a latte with cinnamon and marshmallow. I'm pretty sure the marshmallow is only added to the hot version which I didn't get so I'm not sure if that enhances the flavor much, but I really enjoyed what I ordered! The barista was really friendly too. Not many food items/baked goods to choose from, but there's a great variety of drinks to choose from. Don't forget to check in on Yelp for 25% off a drink! I recently moved back into the area and one thing about me. I'm a huge cafe girl. I found this place on Yelp and wanted to check it out for a while, I finally had the chance! I came into a cute, quaint shop, greeted by the barista. I enjoyed the set up and the cozy feel, I wish there was a bit more coziness to it with the space it is given. After inquiring of the different types of coffee, the barista suggested her favorite the "Breakfast In Bed." It consists of maple spice and hickory spice. While I was hesitant of the hickory spice in the coffee, I was intrigued. I also ordered their banana bread which was locally sourced. The banana bread was good, a bit dry but flavors were all there. But I want to focus on their coffee! Drinking it blew my mind, it had a freshness of the espresso, but the spice of the hickory and maple spice complimented each other so beautifully, with the aroma of the hickory coming through as you drink it. It has been deemed as one of my favorites. Overall, experience was great, coffee, delicious! I would have loved to seen some more touches to their aesthetics and to their baked goods. If their coffee is this delicious, I can only imagine if they put that towards baked goods, how delicious it could be. read more

I like their season offerings and they got a fancy machine for their espressos if you're into that. It's a rather intimate place referring to their size. Groups are fine I think, the tables are round so if you're trying to fit them together you might have some grief. You have your great variety of specialty drinks, baked goods, energy bars and soft drinks plus of course your standard drip, French press, and espresso shots for the die hards.
