I've been here a couple of times for a 60 minute massage, overall I've had great experiences both times. This last time I had Massage Therapist Anna who was great! She did an amazing job getting my shoulder and next muscles to loosen since I work a desk job they're always tense. I highly recommend going to Anna if you're looking to get some knots out. The ambiance is good and overall really like the place. Minus 1 star because both times the massage was only 45 minutes although it was supposed to be 60, I understand needing to get dressed, etc but they ask you to come in 15 mins early and should give the full 60 minutes as I know of other places that do. I came in expecting a relaxing massage but left more stressed than when I arrived. The session started with a towel placed on my back that was so hot it burned my skin, I can still feel the discomfort. The music cut out mid-session and blasted a loud Wix commercial, and the noise from staff slamming doors and dropping things outside the room made it impossible to relax. While dealing with back pain and looking for a last minute massage, I stumbled across a Groupon for a 90 minute massage with an added "elevation" for $89 which was clearly a steal at a place like this!! Originally $219 (I think). I arrived early like they requested and had my temperature taken at the door and was handed a tablet to enter my "first time client" info. I was excited to see that I was able to purchase the Groupon on a Friday night and book an appointment on their website for the next day! I had no issue using the Groupon certificate and they were happy to hear that's what brought me in! I chose the first available massage therapist which I'm usually fine with based on the fact that I tend to prefer a light/medium massage and I chose the hot stones as my added elevation. I can't say that I was happy with the massage therapist I was paired with or the service that I received but I also feel that maybe I wasn't completely clear on what I had expected... maybe. On the form I checked that I wanted additional attention to my upper back thinking I would get a few extra minutes on that area and instead he worked on that area for ONE HOUR! Talk about sore AF for like 12 days! I'm a workaholic who sits at a desk for far too many hours a day so my upper back is obviously tense and has many knots but I assure you, they do not all need to be worked out in one sitting! So after the first hour when I could hear everyone else leaving their rooms while knowing my massage was going to be 30 minutes longer and after receiving only three touches of a lukewarm stone, my therapist asked me if I wanted massage anywhere else on my body.............. my reply, "um, yes please. Is this not a full body massage?!" So, long story short, I've seen the other reviews on many other sites as well as Yelp and having received a million other massages in my lifetime and I know that this experience was clearly not what they would prefer to speak for their everyday service. Every other part of my experience was absolutely fabulous! I loved how they are currently dealing with the pandemic and the amount of hand sanitizer and safety signs they have and the fact that they take everyone's temp on the way in and seeing them remove all bedding (while my therapist was lost in the hallway trying to figure out what room we were going to be in 10 minutes after everyone else was started (I got to see all the old linens come out and replaced with new!). So, even after that interesting experience with a massage therapist that I have asked to not see again, I signed up for a monthly membership. The price is amazing and the hours carry over if not used! You're not locked into a yearly contract but required to give a 30 day notice on cancellation! I chose the 90 minute monthly option for $85/month and I can split that up into a 60 minute and save the other 30 to add to a rainy day if I carry over other extra minutes. I'm so excited for this new experience!! The chicks at the front desk.... AMAZING!!!!! I've been coming to Massage Heights for a number of years. Love the fact that they have 2 locations on the north side of town. Been coming to the Briargate location for a few years now. Honestly, I've never had a bad experience. The friendly staff always greet you upon arrival. My massage's are usually Deep Tissue/Firm and I add hot stones for an added benefit. I have had a few different therapists over time and each one has been attentive to what is going on, usually in my neck, shoulders and back. It's the best 90 minutes of the month. I had my first time visit to Massage Heights today and I am very impressed! I haven't had a massage in about a year or so and wanted to check this place out because I was in dire need of one. I hopped online and they provide a bunch of great information on their website about their business which was helpful. It was SO easy to make an appointment with them online and I got my first appointment booked right away. I think this makes such a big difference when it's easy to get a booking online taken care of. They had great ratings so I knew this would be a good spot. My check in process at the actually place was quick and I filled out the intake form in advance at home. Christa was my therapist and she was amazing! She took some time on consulting me to determine my needs for this appointment and you even get to select an essential oil spray to be included in the massage experience which I loved. This really enhances the experience for me. I did a 90 minute massage and felt I definitely got my money's worth with this visit. I left feeling rejuvenated and relaxed. I also loved the warming table and thought it made the massage more comfy. I even got warm towels placed on my feet which felt amazing during the massage! The check out process was quick and Christa was very helpful in adding on advice on how to improve my future health with my body. Water is provided to you at the end as well. Save yourself the headache and take your business elsewhere! Very disappointed with my recent interaction with the staff here. I bought my wife a gift card for Valentine's Day. She called to make her appointment and was told that she couldn't use it because she was not a first time guest. When I bought this gift card no one asked me if this gift card was for someone who had been there before or not. I did not ask for a special price or a discount of any kind. I called to explain this to them and they made me feel like I was trying to rip them off or something. When they called me back they said on the voicemail THREE times that this would be the last time they honored this rate, like I was being dishonest or like I was a child that didn't understand her. I don't like being treated this way. At this point I don't want to go there and I asked for a refund. Nope, they won't give a refund. If my $60 gift card is such a big deal to them then they shouldn't have any problems giving me a refund. Nicole, the manager was rude. I called to talk to the retreat manager (Drew, I believe) and he won't speak with me or return my calls. Nicole said that I can contact corporate but I might as well not contact them because they just forward the complaint back to them. Great way to treat your customers! I witnessed them treat a pregnant woman like absolute garbage when I was there because she started feeling hot and lightheaded and couldn't continue her massage. The pregnant woman wasn't complaining at all she just needed to stop. And when she got dressed and went to check out they started getting defensive with her for no reason-- first she sat down and drank some water probably making sure she was feeling better to drive -- they kept staring at her and trying to push her to checkout instead of asking questions if she was feeling ok- not once did they ask btw -- they started telling her it wasn't that hot in there -- and she just said ok -- then they start aggressively telling her she still had to pay for her session which she wasn't bothered by she never even asked for one -- then they demanded basically that she still tip the woman since she still went out of her way and spent time to do the massage and again not argumentative at all said of course -- she literally just didn't feel good and the woman at the front was being so mean like she was ready to fight when there wasn't a fight - have some compassion. If I could give this place 0 stars right now I would. We go in here regularly and have spent hundred upon hundreds of dollars and always tip the staff well. On our way to our appointment this morning our car broke down and I had to cancel our appointment last minute. I understand policy but even doctors offices allow for emergency cancels. We were charged half of the cancelation fee as a curtesy which felt like more of a slap in the face.
