My buddy and I stopped in here late Saturday night. I go find us a place to sit outside, and he heads to the bar for drinks. He orders, and the female bartenders asks him if he wants to open a tab. He tells her it depends on her pour. He had ordered a Gin and Tonic. She filled the full size glass about 90 percent full of gin, and put in a small splash of tonic. He smiles and tells her he'd be happy to open a tab........ Heads outside to the heated seating area, and we enjoy the atmosphere. Would visit again! read more

The good news: The drinks were affordable and the pool table was fun. There was a lady giving away earrings that she made, which I found interesting. Staff seemed pretty friendly.... However. I am always leery of bars that have the faint aroma of puke. It was the strongest sitting at the bar close to the corner. Which makes sense if you think about it. This place has became our new go to! Awesome food at a great place. The service is pretty good. One major highlight is the large outside area with heat and pool tables. Though there is smoking out their so that is not as cool, but as long as its not super busy its nice out there. This is defiantly a nice place to grab a beer after work with a friend. O good times, you are a good place to go with friends. I showed up on a Friday at 6 pm and was able to find a table and there is even happy hour at this time! Bar food is pretty solid and reasonably priced. Nothing will blow you away but its anything you can grab out of a fryer and burgers etc. Beer selection is good, my waiter wasn't very helpful at all though letting me know what they had on tap. If you don't head over to Good Times for any other reason, stop by for the house Ninkasi. If you can't figure out which beer that is (hint-the name of the bar) then you lose and should probably just try one of the many other beers they have on tap. The Good Times porch is awesome come spring and summer, but with the giant heat torches during the winter it's not so bad either. Less college students than other local bars, that's probably my favorite thing about Good Times. Good Times has League Pass too, so you can catch the Blazer games or any other NBA game there this season. read more

Stopped by Good Times last night for a quick dinner. It's playoff time for the Blazers and the bar wasn't all that busy. Quite a few people out on the smoking deck and maybe 20 in the bar. We waited for ten minutes and was not approached by a waiter/waitress. We went to the bar, got menus, and then waited for a staff person to take our order. The waitress said that they were really busy (unless they were understaffed, it wasn't busy). Our food came out and it was OK. Not bad/nothing special. All in all, not some place that I need to go back to. read more

Good times to say the least. I always find myself getting in trouble when I go here. Not with the law, but with myself in the morning after so many beers/drinks flowed while I played pool and chatted with friends outdoors. Bartenders tend to be slow, so I tip ahead of time. Also insures your getting a strong drink there. Food is good, bar food, but tasty. Have a great dance floor, good sound system and plenty of drunk people to join you in cutting a rug. Good Times is one of the few Eugene bars I still feel comfortable watching a game at, even though my college days were twenty years ago. Sonia, Trisha, Robbie, and the staff are always friendly, drinks are inexpensive, and the bartenders are consistently hustling behind the bar. Manny's desserts are worth the trip alone, and there is plenty of great food, ample parking, and excellent music each and every day of the week. Great spot. read more

Recent price hike: $4.00 for a bud light bottle that sells for less than a dollar retail. A competitor 4 blocks away sells the same for $2.75. I can't bring myself to make up the difference by skimping on tips for the people that actually do the work. (Try this at home, grab a 12 oz beer and pour it into a pint glass. There will be about 1.5" space at the top; that is the difference between a 12oz pour and a 16oz pour. At a pub or bar, the bartender should pour off the head and fill the beer to the top. I am not paying $3-5 for a 12oz pour, especially when they are advertising pints. This happens all over town.) Here's the situation. Lunch. Wednesday. Not busy. Taco special. I bought a pint of beer and ordered some tacos. Bartender pours it, sets it in front of me with 1.5" foam. I wait for it to settle, don't touch the glass. When it settles, I point it out to bartender. I say "Do you think you could please fill my glass all the way?" She says "It's supposed to have head like that." I say "I thought I ordered a pint of beer.: She says "That's how we pour our pints." I was stupefied. She didn't fix it by adding more beer, pour it again, or offer to buy the beer. She didn't even act like my comment/complaint was valid or apologize. (Not that I needed an apology, a full beer would've been great.) I said no thanks, I don't even want this beer, and I cancelled the tacos and walked out. I will not be going back. There are plenty of other bars that actually fill your glass to the size that you order. There are even more places that will try to correct things your are dissatisfied with when you politely complain rather than telling you that's just how they do things there. You, dear reader, should make your own decision, but what are the odds that you'll get a full pour of beer on a busy night rather than a non-busy lunch hour? We got into town and wanted something close to our hotel, and this place fit the bill. We sat in the bar where it was less crowded and less noisy. We had very attentive service and after two drinks we were ready for some bar grub. Hubby had the special- prime rib and it was big, tasty and a good value. It's a nice sports bar downtown. The parking is a little funky because part of the lot is pay to park weekdays during normal business hours. They have a could dozen beers and a few ciders on tap. Went there for some drinks on a Sat night to celebrate my birthday and it was full of douche bags. Seriously, it was full of jersey shore, tight-shirt-Tuesday losers. Also, they gave my sisters credit card to another patron and then told her she never paid and made her pay again! The next morning, she checked her account and someone had taken her card to Davis's and purchase a number of other drinks around town! I've been coming here for years. Until recently, the service was spectacular. However, over the last few weeks, with new staff, the service has greatly declined. Now, servers stop by tables less frequently. Often pick up empty glasses without asking whether you want another drink, and regularly forget to bring your drink order. Last night, we went to grab some food and drinks at Good Times. The service was SO AWEFUL. First, the cook came out and yelled at us for ordering something that was too hard to make while they were "so busy" and told us to choose something else. I went inside to order again, and the waitress told me to go back to my seat and wait for her. Then she never came out. So, I went back in and ordered from the ass-hole cook, who mimed shooting himself in the head when I ordered a quesadilla. When he dropped it off, someone else at our table asked if they could order. He said "I'm not taking any fucking orders" and stormed off. Basically the worse service I've had at a bar to date. Really rude, overpriced for the food we got, and I will NEVER go back. The guy who we dealt with should be fired. No manager was on duty, so I couldn't express my dissatisfaction to him directly. But I hope they read this review. This is based on a take out order. My husband stopped in to grab me some late lunch to bring to our office. The server suggested the special. $8 loaded grilled chz with tomato, bacon, spinach, and cheddar with a side of tomato soup. Soup is my thing, and this as well as the sandwich was so good I felt I should ring them and give my thanks. The server answered and politely accepted my thanks. She stated she would share my compliment to the chef to encourage some soups be served on a daily basis. The menu looks great with good prices and variations. What I tried could not be improved upon. This is a great place to hang out, drink and meet locals. Outside most of the seating is at large communal tables surrounding two pool tables (smoking allowed). Inside the bar is big with over a dozen bar stools, another pool table and lots of table seating to eat. I really liked this place and will be back the next time I'm in Eugene. read more

I've had many fond memories at this bar. The smiley faced clock welcomes you in from the Ferry St. Bridge like a beacon of hope (perhaps a slight exaggeration). It's that quintessential Eugene mix of old hippies, students and just about everyone else between. I love the jukebox, even though it's underutilized by jocks with no appreciation for good music who insist upon playing every Dave Matthews Band song known to man or Eminem. Okay, I realize I have just offended the entire population of 18-34 year olds in Eugene, but so be it. We used to have a tradition of going here every Christmas night as it's one of the few bars open on Christmas. One Christmas, my friend Carrie and I took it upon ourselves to dance on the empty stage in our socks trying to perfect the c-walk to Portishead.
