Arrived around 11:05am on a Saturday morning. Not a very big restaurant. The place was close to half full. I really liked the layout of the bar, so I sat there. The bar was U shaped and the waitress took my order from within the U. I ordered a coffee while I looked the menu over. Within a minute or two my coffee was placed in front of me and I was asked if I needed more time. Nope. I ordered two eggs over easy, 3 slices of bacon and two slices of wheat toast. Ten minutes later my food was sat down in front of me. It looked and tasted really good! The eggs were cooked to order. The bacon was a little crispy. Just the way I like it. Not soft and greasy. Toast with butter was how it should be. I was in and out within 20 minutes. The price was $11.27 total, plus tip. Not bad at all. I would recommend this place for a nice well priced meal. Randomly found this place on YELP while working in Coldwater for the day. Seen the pictures of the double cheeseburger and just had to give it a shot. Was not disappointed whatsoever food was delicious, and will stop there again. read more

The epitome of a "hole in the wall" place. It's small & off the main strip, so could be easily missed. It was busy with a lunch crowd, several were regulars on a first-name basis with the employees. It wasn't the cleanest place you've ever been in, outdated decor & a few flies swirling around the food counter. We took our food to go. We each ordered the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich with chili & cheese on the side of our fries. The fries were very good, I just wish the cheese would have been creamy instead of shredded. The Philly sandwiches had great flavor- everything you hope for... cheesy, peppers, onions, tender meat. But, the roll (hamburger bun?) it was served on couldn't handle it & was soggy and made the sandwich hard to eat- we ended up using forks. I would probably grab some fries here if I was in the area, but neither my husband or I feel like we *have* to go back. read more

This is one of those hole in the wall type of places. It's a hidden gem in downtown Coldwater. If you love a mom and pop shop type of cookin and feel, this is is your place. It's hidden on a small side street. The building looks like it used to be a shop of some sort. It's decked out in Cardinal colors. You have to try their pancakes, country fried steak skillet, biscuits and gravy and if you want lunch, get their burgers. Freakin massive & amazing. If you want to get food to go, I suggest checking the bag first. You'll probably need to ask for packets of condiments, napkins, and silverware. They aren't open all day tho, so you'll want to go for breakfast or brunch. read more

Just a little place in Coldwater Michigan and they do it right. Simple menu, but very good. The double cheeseburger was excellent w fresh made Pattie's and the fries were yummy. The hash browns were crispy and delicious w the omelet. Service excellence and our server actually cooked our food just before close on Sunday! The best breakfast in Coldwater hands down! The pancakes are the best I have ever eaten and the hash browns are spectacular! The food does take a while especially if they're busy. The dinning room is tiny and the tables are close together but they some how make everything work! If your in Coldwater, Michigan I wouldn't eat any where else for breakfast! read more

Not a very cool breakfast. The French toast seemed to be frozen French toast. Hash browns were greasy and undercooked, bacon was thin as paper and obviously pre-cooked and then reheated, eggs were cooked properly but had no salt or pepper on them. Definitely the best breakfast in Coldwater. Made a Yelp account just to leave a positive review. I'm only leaving a 4 out of 5 because it is a little bit pricey for what it is and there isn't anything special on the menu to draw you in. However, what they do offer is absolutely delicious. read more

Went for lunch today and the food was absouloutly horrible we wanted three orders of biscuts n gravy and the waiter said no that we can only do two then i orderd something else lets just say that for the money we spent i would have rather went to a gas station for thier roller grill very displeased with it all around burgers dry french toast undercooked and flat buisuts for my kids it was disgusting read more

I live local. I have known this place was here for years. Can't tell you why I never went sooner but I can tell you we will be returning soon and with frequency! The place small, cozy, and fun. Even though it was our first visit we felt like we were one of the regular crowd. The place oozes a sense of family and hosts a very welcoming atmosphere. I have worked in food service, so I have seen what takes place on some (not all, but some) kitchens. As a result I have come to favor open kitchens where I can see clean facilities and know what's going on. It was just another of those little things for which I look I found here. Pricing was super reasonable the menu was shockingly expansive. Can't wait to go back. read more

My husband and I were hoping for a really good experience and had read rave reviews about The Goodie Shop. Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience. The service was not attentive or helpful. The menu was misleading. I order smoked sausage and got a cut up hotdog. I hope others have a better experience. read more
