    Bone marrow
    Phoebe H.

Rarely do you find a stellar cocktail bar that also offers delicious dishes. A group of us came here for dinner during a bachelorette weekend and we thoroughly enjoyed it. I got the bone marrow which was delicious but it felt really oily after finishing the meal. The short rib portion size was plenty and it was cooked well. The cocktails are fantastic, especially the Wet my Beak drink!

"I came for the aesthetic, I stayed because I couldn't find the exit (and the Mezcal was on fire)." First off, finding this place feels like a low-stakes escape room. You walk into Crust Simply Italian looking like you're lost, find the "secret" door, and suddenly you're no longer in a family-friendly pasta house--you're in a moody, Art Deco fever dream. It's dark enough in here that I couldn't see my own bad decisions, which is exactly how I like my speakeasies.

It took us a minute to figure out how to get into this place Apparently there are several entrances but we were told, we did come through the front entrance Tucked away in this development, you will find signs leading you to the entrance which was very clever. The atmosphere is so intimate. I love sweet cocktails and asked the waiter what would he recommend. He recommended The Clover. I was very hesitant because it had Gin in it and questioned him but decided to trust him. Boy am I glad I did, it was the most beautiful and tastiest drink I have experienced. I ordered the Shrimp Oreganata along with the Truffle Fries while my friend ordered the the Chicken Alla Vodka (side note, there is no pasta!) Everything was so delicious. I cleaned my plate. The theme of The Goose followed throughout from the check that is bought out in a little nest to a pen that had feathers, I truly appreciated the little details and how everything came together. Trust me, this is a spot worth visiting but be sure to make reservations as it is a small and cozy atmosphere.

The Goose is on the Loose....well only if you drink too much at this speakeasy. This speakeasy has a cool relaxing vibe. Once you find your way to the speakeasy, you'll be greeted with a room that offers small intimate tables and a long bar. The offerings for drinks are amazing: some classic and others spin offs to play off the theme of the speakeasy. All of the drinks sounds amazing, so hard to choose. And you need to choose wisely as drinks are about 20 dollars. Our bartender was amazing on Monday. Super friendly and accommodating. We appreciated learning about all the speakeasy from him. The Speakeasy does provide food from the next door restaurant. The menu has an Italian focus. During peak season in AZ and weekends make sure you make a reservation. If joining the speakeasy during their opening time, you should be ok without a reservation weekdays. Note this speakeasy is part of a group of speakeasy's that each offer their own character. All with bird themes. My only negative is I wish it was darker during daylight: light from outside should be blocked! Cheers.

Came to the Goose with a few people for a going away party. The door was very difficult to find. You had to go through Crust Pizza then through the server side station where there's a door labeled employee entrance. I guess this may have been the point they were trying to make as a speakeasy feel. Once I finally found the place, decor was beautiful. Chandeliers and the back bar was beautifully lit with a slight gold tones. Food was beautifully presented but taste was just ok for me. The server took about 20 minutes to take the cocktail order then took another 15 minutes to deliver the cocktails for all of us. Throughout the experience the server hardly came by and checked on us. We had to ask for waters to be filled repeatedly. There was 5 of us but table was only set for 4 and it took 3 requests to bring an extra glass and place setting for the 5the person. All in all, service was not too attentive and felt forgotten but there were 3 staff members just huddled around the entry door. It's not a bad place to get cocktails but the service culture can be improved.

Date night approved! My hubby booked a reservation at The Goose, and they did not disappoint. We love a whiskey forward speakeasy, and they have a ton of delicious cocktails on the menu. Secretly nestled behind Crust, The Goose offers some delicious bites & desserts. My favorite drink of the night was the "Down Comforter". This was nutty pistachio & chocolate old fashioned, and it was incredible. All of the food we tried was tasty. The garlic shrimp actually paired well with the Mediterranean salad. I also enjoyed the calamari, as it was lightly breaded and served with spicy marinara sauce. Do not skip the butter cake. It is warm, ooey gooey, and has a scoop of ice cream on top. Everything was perfect, and we would definitely dine here again!

What a spectacular evening with Bodie! He is charming, helpful, personable and fun! (And Travis later in the evening) We started the evening by bum rushing the door as Bodie unlocked it at 4. We were the only ones there this early and Bodie quickly brought us into the fold as if we were old friends. We stayed until early evening thoroughly enjoying every drink and all of the food we ordered. We will be back for sure!! You have a gem with Bodie.

Cute little speak easy! They did over charge me $25 but luckily I caught it. We had three different servers so that's probably why. Weird energy with the service as well. But as far as food and drinks go. It was yummy.

It's hidden behind a door inside a restaurant. Small, loud, intimate. Felt more like a bar than a speakeasy though. I like the variety of cocktails offered bc that's what I usually go for. Friendly service, very chill vibes and great drinks

This spot is so dang cute. And trying to find it added to the intrigue! The wallpaper: I'm obsessed! The design is amazing. But to the real nuts & bolts-- barstaff 5 and the drinks are and reasonably priced. The service was great. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

I love a solid speakeasy and hadn't been to one in so long! This one is inside crust, which actually is right by my first official apartment that my husband and I had together, so it's always fun to revisit the area! There was a couple little signs outside, and later we as people entering from the back, but we had a host lead us through the other entrance through the restaurant. Really cool vibes in here and we loved the funky goose wallpaper. They have a really fun bar area with cool decor, but my husband and I sat at a booth! My husband got a drink with vodka, passionfruit, prosecco, and I think something else. Mine had mezcal, passionfruit, coconut, mango, and some other stuff! I remarked that our drinks tasted like we were on a tropical vacation haha, they were both so good! My drink was served on fire which was pretty neat. Service was excellent! Drinks are pricey but worth it! Really glad we had the opportunity to visit here!

I will be dreaming about their warm olives for awhile. Well done!! Perfect for a gals dinner. The food was good not drop dead but very good for a ladies dinner. All the friends were there, pizza / pasta / apps and Great drinks. Their mocktails were delicious and low sugar as well!

Absolutely yes! Cute speakeasy with amazing vibes. Enter in through Crust or the secret way in the back. Food was phenomenal and so were the drinks! I forgot our servers name but she was so amazing and helpful with giving recommendations and making sure we were taken care of!

Hi, can we bring a calm baby to join while we grab a cocktail?

    I would not recommend it.

Is there a dress code? Are jeans allowed?

Hello! Thank you for your question. Here at the Goose, we don't have a designated dress code. Jeans are perfectly fine. We do request that outfits don't be super revealing.

    Do I need a resv?

Thanks for reaching out. The Goose is first come first serve. Hope to see you and thank you!

What looks like free parking in the self-parking area actually isn't. There's a sign that says you have to pay for parking with a QR code. Parking is only free for 30 minutes. I called the hotel to inquire about parking and they didn't answer. After walking to the front desk, we were told that valet is validated at the speakeasy. I'm not a fan of valet, but I'll take free valet service (minus the tip) over paying more for self parking. Now, let's get to the good stuff. As the self-appointed king of speakeasies, I'm back with another one. Ambiance: (4.5/5): I won't give all of the clues away, but walk to the third floor, look for a book shelf, and you're on the right track. Once you get inside, you'll find an intimate speakeasy. We're talking seating for 12 or so people or so, tops. I imagine getting a seat on a weekend is quite tough, so take that into account and make a reservation. When you do, you'll find out that there's a $25 cancellation fee per person if you cancel within 24 hours of your reservation. I understand that no shows negatively impact restaurants/bars, but I absolutely hate when the cost of doing business is passed off on customers. I'm reliable, but if I'm going with someone else, and they cancel, now I'm in a tough spot. Anyways, I loved the ambiance at The Madam. Think dark wood, sophistication, and some cowboy vibes. The seating was comfortable, too. Service (4.5/5): Minus the parking snafu, our bartender did an absolute awesome job taking care of us. She was friendly and attentive throughout. They were perfecting a new drink menu and even offered us two drinks on the house. Which was much appreciated! We were lucky, for sure. Food (N/A): While they do have food, I was on a liquid diet on this visit. Drinks (4/5): When I go to a speakeasy, I'm looking for creativity. You'll find that here for the most part, though I wish the list of craft cocktails was a little larger. There were only two or so cocktails that struck my fancy. I went with the one with green chartreuse, which is always a treat. But, when I'm at a speakeasy, I'm hoping that at least half of the selection intrigues me. Despite the limited selection, the cocktails are well made and have an interesting blend of flavors. The Madam is a true speakeasy (no signage and an ambiance which is true to the history of speakeasies), which makes them a winner in my book.

I really liked how stylish and beautiful the restaurant was. It would be a great spot for a date night. We ordered several dishes to share. I was really looking forward to the Nordic salmon salt block sashimi but the slices were too thin to hold up to the salt and felt like the block was the main attraction. Nordic salmon sweet sesame rice bowl was highly recommended by the server. It was good but overly sweet and the serving size was pretty small. We ordered Korean beef tacos topped with raw kimchi. Wasn't impressed with the beef which was just meh and lacking a rich and good flavor. At $5 each the tacos fell short in execution as the flavors and combination didn't work. The best dish was the tempura green beans which were light and crispy. I didn't care for the aioli it came with though as it was super sweet. I had to mix in a garlic aioli to make it ok. The ambience felt elevated but unfortunately the food didn't match. I didn't expect to find flaws with every dish we tried which was disappointing. Our server was acceptable but was not engaging. Our waitress, Reese, was super friendly and her recommendations reinforced our ordering decisions. She even gave us a few suggestions we will have to try on our next visit! Here's a recap of what we ordered: - ROSÉ 75 (Hangar 1 Rosé Vodka, Kronan Swedish Punsch, strawberry & lime juices, Lunetta prosecco): Incredibly refreshing with a nice little buzz. Perfect for a sunny afternoon. - SPINACH ARTICHOKE DIP (house made spinach & artichoke dip topped with parmesan & mozzarella cheese. Served with chips & garlic toast): This was so yummy; and was good to share between four people! The top of the dip was perfectly golden, and I liked that it didn't taste as heavy as some other cheesy dips. - HOUSE MADE SOUTHWEST EGG ROLLS (chipotle chicken, black beans, pico de gallo, cheddar jack cheese, chipotle ranch): Another hit! The filling was flavorful, and the egg roll wrapping itself was perfectly cooked. I appreciated that these were house made and didn't feel like something that was previously frozen. - HONEY HOT CHICKEN SANDWICH (buttermilk fried chicken breast, honey hot sauce, pickles, pepperjack, coleslaw, served on sesame seed bun with fries): I've tried a ton of chicken sandwiches thanks to my husband, and this one really stood out! We added bacon (pro move!), which elevated an already delicious sandwich. I particularly enjoyed the hot honey sauce which was on the buttery side, and didn't overwhelm the rest of the flavors. The fries were also crispy and had a good flavor. - STEAK BITES (beef tenderloin tips with balsamic reduction & micro greens served over flat fries): My cousin ordered this, and seemed to generally enjoy the steak, but wasn't feeling the flat fries. She said it was good, but she likely wouldn't order again. Overall everything was really solid, service was good, and the atmosphere was chill. Highly recommend this as a post-game stop or for an outing with friends or family. Looking forward to coming back soon!
