After we ate at pinyon, my friends and I wanted a martini so we thought this would be the perfect spot. Our waitress was not the friendliest. In case you didn't know, a lot of their martinis are made with Smirnoff vodka. My friend asked for a different vodka for one of her martinis. Unfortunately, She didn't love the drink. Our waitress told her "well you changed the vodka so you will still need to pay for it" How rude. We didn't love the experience and I'm not sure if I'd want to come back.

Came here for our girl's night out, love the inside moon and clouds, and outdoors offers plenty of seating as well. Jack, our server, was super friendly and accommodating. They're known for their martinis, so of course I had to try a couple. Their French martini was fantastic. I am sad that they were out of the gin used to make their Rose Gold martini, so I went with the espresso martini instead. Oh well, gives me a wonderful excuse to come back. We tried their flatbread as a snack. It was very good, and even my friend who does not like bacon or olives also really enjoyed it, so that's a good sign.

We visited this location on Saturday, July 18, at 7:30 p.m. to celebrate both a birthday and our wedding anniversary. Since this location just opened a few weeks ago, we were excited to check it out. One of the newest features is that they now accept online reservations, which is a great addition since reservations were not previously available. This location can get very busy, especially on weekends. For parking, you have the option of valet parking for a fee or using the parking garage for free, which is a convenient alternative. When we arrived, there was a hostess outside who added our name to the waitlist. Our table was ready in about 25 minutes, which we were very happy with, especially on a busy Saturday evening. We were seated on the outdoor patio with the misters. Just a heads-up: the restaurant turns the misters off when the temperature drops below 90 degrees. Although there was a nice breeze that evening, we still would have preferred for the misters to stay on a little longer. Our server was friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout our visit. For dinner, we ordered three of the grilled chicken breast entrées, a shrimp dish, a hamburger with fries, and a couple of cocktails. The chicken entrée normally comes with a cabbage salad, but due to the recent produce recalls, it was substituted with tomatoes. Guests also have the option to substitute another vegetable or side. I chose to substitute mine with fries. Overall, the food was fresh, flavorful, and everyone enjoyed their meals. The only area that could use improvement is the billing process. We noticed a service fee listed on the receipt, and it wasn't immediately clear whether it was intended to be the gratuity or an additional charge separate from the tip. We recommend that the restaurant and servers clearly explain this fee before guests pay their bill. Doing so would help avoid confusion and prevent customers from unintentionally tipping more than they intended because they believed gratuity had not already been included. Overall, we had a wonderful experience celebrating our birthday and wedding anniversary. The food, service, and atmosphere were enjoyable, and we look forward to visiting again.

Date of visit: June 6, 2026 We stopped here as part of Arizona Food Tours, though I had actually been here once before, several years prior to their most recent remodel. This is the sister restaurant to a Milwaukee favorite, Elsa's on the Park (though locals just call it Elsa's), and it's easy to see why, from the eclectic, fun menu to the diverse crowd and strong emphasis on art. As part of the food tour we sampled their homemade chips with hot sauce and bleu cheese along with Neuske's bacon-wrapped water chestnuts (IYKYK) accompanied with honey for dipping. I'm not crazy about bleu cheese or hot sauce, but the chips were actually quite good. And the water chestnuts were excellent, the bacon not too crispy and the honey was a nice additional touch! I also had an NA Moscow Mule and I loved it, even though it had a little cucumber in it. Staff were very attentive as well, ensuring our water glasses were never too empty, which was appreciated on a warm June day!

This place is located in the perfect spot in Old Town Scottsdale. It was our first time in Arizona and was recommended this place by our tour guide. I was pleasantly surprised how swanky this restaurant vibe is and is also very lovely inside with outdoor seating. The prices, food, and service were excellent! The food was delicious. I ordered the full sandwich and had no idea how big it was going to be! I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone.

AZ88 is a Scottsdale classic for a reason--famous for martinis that are easily among the best in town (watch out Durant's). They're served filled right to the brim by impressively steady waitstaff who somehow don't spill a drop--you'll need to take a sip before even picking up the glass. The glassware itself is part of the experience: a signature shape that fans out slightly, adding to the presentation and making each drink feel a bit more special. It's these little details that elevate the whole visit. A long time Scottsdale staple, AZ88 has that rare mix of longevity and style. This is the kind of place you bring people when you want to impress--confident, polished, and consistently delivering.

Came here to celebrate a friend's birthday and we were seated on the patio. They have a misting system that is amazing and allows you to enjoy your time and dinner. It was very crowded and parking is bad, but they do offer valet, if you choose. Our server, Shayla was awesome. She was professional, friendly and stayed on top of us for refills and drinks. I ordered the Civic Center Chop salad. It was really good and the honey lemon dressing that goes with it was so flavorful. I would definitely come back to try their other foods.

I love the atmosphere of AZ88. We sat outside on a Saturday evening and it was beautiful. We only waited about 30 minutes to get seated as a party of 2 without a reservation beforehand. Our waiter was nice enough and the food came in a timely manner. I ordered the grilled cheese with pumpernickel bread and thought it was good. I liked that it came with a pickle. My friend and I agreed that although the food and drinks weren't anything too special, the ambiance and energy of the restaurant itself was made it worth it.

We arrived at 4:30 on a Thursday with a group of 6 for an early birthday dinner. The restaurant was decorated nicely with a large holiday tree in the middle and special snow lighting. Unfortunately AZ 88 does not take reservations which is a disappointment. The inside tables were already full with only a couple of spots left at the hi-tops so we sat outside at a table for six. It was chilly but they do have above head heaters. They could actually use more heaters for the patio as we were all still a little cold and we wore coats. The patio filled up quickly so I'm glad we arrived at 4:30 or could have been waiting for a while. Our server was Bryson. I can't say enough good things about Bryson. He was simply excellent. Probably one of the best servers I've ever come across in a very long time. He was friendly, efficient and never left us waiting for service. Always offering suggestions and kept things flowing. Bryson had several large groups he handled all in his own. A true professional. We started with cocktails and moved into food. I ordered a dirty martini and it was actually filled to the rim with an icy surface. Thank you AZ 88! A bar that understands how a martini should be served. My companions all ordered martinis and they were all made perfectly. For appetizers we ordered the flatbread and the Rumaki (bacon wrapped chestnuts). Honestly the flatbread could have used more time in the oven and didn't have much flavor considering how many ingredients but the rumaki was super tasty. The bacon was crispy with honey for dipping. For dinner I ordered the Bigger Mac Burger per Bryson's suggestion. I asked for medium and it was cooked perfect medium. It came with waffle fries. Everyone said they enjoyed their burgers and chicken sandwiches. We also asked for small side dips, etc. and Bryson brought everything correctly. Usually a server always forgets the side dips but Bryson remembered everything. He also brought a dessert for the birthday girl and offered to take photos which we very much appreciated. I really enjoyed AZ88 except for the fact you can't make reservations and not enough heat in the patio. Other than that, we had a nice experience. Ask to sit in Bryson's section and you won't be disappointed with service.

AZ88 has such a fun set up! It's a great place for a date, drinks at the bar with friends or even a business dinner. The espresso martini (no cream) is incredible! They use actual espresso so you will be feeling the caffeine! The bartenders were very friendly and quick with service. We ordered the bacon wrapped water chestnuts, which were so amazing!

Came here with some friends on a Saturday night and it was pretty busy and crowded. It took us maybe 30-40 minutes to get seated for dinner, so we just got drinks while waiting. My friends got an F'n Cucumber and a Dirty Martini, which they both enjoyed (the F'n Cucumber was gooodd). I got a Tequila Tease (mocktail) for $10 and it was really tasty. While the drinks were really good, the food felt like an afterthought. We ordered Hell's Fire Chips as our appetizer (it was alright with the spicy sauce they gave us, I'm personally not a big fan of the bleu cheese but my friends are), Caesar Salad, and a sandwich. Everything was just alright, and our server was also lukewarm. I will say the vibe was very interesting and unique though, mixing "night out at the bar" and "elevated dinner vibes"

Sooo much to say! It's soooo delicious! So much food! So great to share! Everyone is so kind! Thank you Christian for taking my order! They have Evian sparkling water the fries are yummy! And I love that they put a pickle and pineapple on the side! Oh! Also the strawberry cake is to die for! It's super pretty and clean! and they change up the theme of the decor hehe

Came here for dinner and drinks with friends and we had such a nice time! Our server was great and the food and drinks were awesome. The martinis here are FULL and strong so beware. We shared the Caesar salad and club sandwich which were both great sizes. Super cute spot and would definitely recommend it for any occasion!

    Yes!

    Dot they take reservations?

But, if you're looking for a really cool bar, KWSC is for you. I stopped by on a week day evening around 8:30 p.m. Located in Roosevelt Row, while there isn't parking, I found free parking on the street a few minutes away on foot. Ambiance (4.5/5): My type of spot. Dimly lit with a speakeasy vibe. There are eight or so seats at the bar, and the rest of your seating options consist of comfortable chairs and sofas. You'll see a lot of photos of people's bums on the walls lol. This is indeed part of the appeal. For free, if you would like, they will take a polaroid of your butt and memorialize you eternally on the walls. While I didn't do that, if that's up your alley, go for it. Service (2/5): This is the main area of improvement. After being seated, I was greeted promptly and got my first cocktail promptly. From there, things fell apart. I had to grab the bartender's attention to order my second drink and to close out. It was a week day and they weren't busy. And there were two bartenders. A lack of attentiveness. When I closed out, I noticed that the cocktails were both $2 more expensive than what was listed on the menu. When I inquired, I was told that the menus were outdated... umm what? If you're not going to re-print your menus, give people a heads-up when they arrive. I understand that most people won't notice, but this is deception. Food (N/A): I was on a liquid diet. If you're trying to eat here, all they have is snacks. The menu doesn't specify but I'm thinking it's probably chips or somethign like that. Drinks (4/5): A lengthy, and interesting, cocktail list. Similar to a speakeasy, you're going to see creativity and an interesting blend of flavors here. The most popular drink is Fuck Nazis. We're seeing a theme here. KWSC is an interesting spot. For various dollar amounts, you can get funny things outside of the polaroids of your bum. My first cocktail was great. My second one, a tiki drink, not so much. The menu said that there would be some flame action happening. It didn't. Just another example of the service falling short. If the service were better, Killer Whale Sex Club would easily be a five-star experience.

It became my go-to spot to bring friends from out of town and every single person I brought absolutely loved it! Back then, the cocktails felt intentional and creative, not just rushed out for volume. The staff remembered regulars, conversations flowed naturally, and the whole place had this warm, eclectic energy that made you want to stay for hours. Even on busy nights, it somehow still felt personal. Unfortunately, over the last couple of years, the vibe has changed quite a bit. The drinks just aren't as consistently good as they used to be, especially considering the prices now. Service feels far more transactional and impersonal, and the atmosphere that once made this place stand out has faded into something much more generic. It feels less like a neighborhood gem and more like a stop on a nightlife circuit.

Eventually I had to walk up to the bar and ask what the procedure was. Do we order at the bar? Do you have table service? No one could give a clear answer. They just kept saying, "If you want, you can order here." That's not the point. If I sit down at a restaurant, I expect someone to come to the table and explain how things work or take our order. She was nice but seemed high. I ended up only having 2 drinks. We would have ordered more but they have 90min max seating and we didn't event get drinks for the first 30min. No exaggeration. Also one of my drinks I had to send back. My apple martini tasted like soap. It was like they did clean the glass after giving a soap bath. No bueno. So they need to get their service to match the vibe of a true cocktails lounge. Yes it is a 70s vibe but doesn't mean the lackadaisical style service. I would come back and try again. The music, the atmosphere and the food was good. They gotta get these cocktails together and service. We ended up walking to nearby competitors and that was money lost for DDG.

So let's start off with the fact that when you're seated , they disclose that this is a "90 minute experience." . My only issue is that getting your drinks and food might take 80 minutes. Great atmosphere. They have a disco ball in the middle , just like the 70s. Music is not too loud. Dimly lit, but perfect. Order your drinks right away, because ours took forever. Nothing to write home about here. The real crab Rangoon is ok but they are small. The chicken tenders are huge portions. It's like they cut a breast in half for each tender. That was the saving grace. I like the experience. Wanted to give 5 stars , but I can't due to the "mid" experience.

I haven't had a drink I haven't liked, you can't go wrong with any of them. The 50 first dates has become my favorite, however. For food, the milk bread is a delicious starter. The chicken tenders are also amazing. Can't wait to go back!

Based on how this place is described and marketed, we were expecting an intimate, vintage-feeling evening where we could sit down, have a cocktail, listen to jazz, and enjoy the atmosphere. That was not our experience. There were definitely things we liked. The location was great, the overall theme and decor were beautiful, the lighting created a great atmosphere, and we enjoyed the food and drinks. The service was also very good. However, the entertainment was a huge miss and completely took us out of the experience. We walked in and the band was performing "Genie in a Bottle," followed by other current/recent pop songs, Backstreet Boys songs, and "Creep." The singer was repeatedly screaming into the microphone and encouraging everyone to scream and make noise. At one point, while sitting in what is supposed to be a speakeasy, we were literally listening to him sing "creep" which is one of the most depressing songs of all time. It felt much more like being at a loud dive bar or country bar than an intimate 1920s inspired speakeasy. My biggest issue is that the entertainment did not match the experience being advertised. You can decorate a room beautifully and make it look like the 1920s, but when the soundtrack is "Genie in a Bottle," "Creep," and Backstreet Boys songs being loudly belted into a microphone, the illusion disappears pretty quickly. The noise level also made it difficult to simply sit, have a drink, talk, and enjoy the space. We specifically chose this place because we wanted that relaxed jazz/speakeasy experience, and that simply wasn't what we got. The cocktail selection was another disappointment. For a speakeasy-style bar, I expected a stronger selection of specialty bourbon and whiskey cocktails. The prices also felt excessive for the overall experience. On top of the already-high prices, we paid a $20 entertainment cover ($10 per person) specifically for the band. I wouldn't have minded paying a cover for quality live entertainment that fit the advertised atmosphere, but the artist was not particularly impressive and, more importantly, the music didn't fit the theme at all. There is a lot of potential here. The space itself is beautiful, the service was good, and they nailed many of the visual details. Unfortunately, the entertainment is such a major part of a speakeasy experience that it overshadowed everything else for us. If you're specifically looking for jazz, flapper-era music, and an authentic-feeling 1920s speakeasy atmosphere, I would not recommend this place based on our experience.

Just, wow!! The drinks, the vibe, the service? This place has it down!…read more The Goose is absolutely what you think of when it comes to a speakeasy! The atmosphere inside is relaxed yet sophisticated with an overwhelming feeling of being in on a secret no one else knows, so cool! We happened to come early enough in the day to where getting a table wasn't an issue but I would say make a reservation when coming as it is limited seating and absolutely worth it. I came with my husband and my bestie for some birthday cocktails and bites. We were actually lucky enough to have our Uber driver point out the door on the way in, I don't want to give away any secrets but keep an eye out for a door marked with the goose silhouette. It was very back-door, hush hush The cocktails were fantastic! The Clover Club was by far my favorite but everything we got was wonderful! I definitely recommend getting some bites while you're there too, we got the charcuterie board and it was plenty for the three of us. Nick took great care of us, making excellent recommendations throughout our visit but the star of the show was Miss Bella! She was so sweet right off the bat, welcoming us in and wishing me a very happy birthday! She very clearly takes a lot of personal pride in her customer care and it shows! Plus, her nails?? Gorgeous! We really had a great time and will definitely be back soon! Thank you The Goose for a wonderful birthday!
