The waitress checked in with us multiple times which I always appreciate. They also have outdoor seating for those who prefer that! I ordered the mac n cheese with steak and it was decent. Nothing out of this world, but good! Portions are also decent, no complaints there. If you plan on going in the evening, consider making a reservation if you want to play safe, especially on a Friday or weekend night. Overall, would try again. read more

Friends had been to the Montauk before and invited us to meet them for a weekend lunch. I made a reservation, so we could be sure to sit inside, since it is already well over 100 degrees outside. The six of us were seated across from the bar, and it was HOT . I started sweating and needed to use the menus as a fan and drink water to try and cool off. The restaurant had already been open for almost 2 hours, so I am not sure why it was so hot inside (others in our party were hot too, so I wasn't just me). Positives are the restaurant's beach decor and the hamburgers. Several people in our party ordered burgers, and they were cooked to perfection and the fries were really good! Negatives are very few seafood menu options and the fish tacos were terrible. They were drowning in a mayonnaise based slaw. The corn tortillas were really fresh and tasty, but when I bit into my taco I could mostly only taste mayonnaise and the pickled onions. Our friends even made an unsolicited comment that my tacos did not look good. Luckily, I selected fries as my side, because they were the best thing on my plate. With a name like Montauk, and the beach decor, I expected more fresh seafood options on the menu. More than half the menu was not seafood (Mediterranean platter, hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, brussels sprouts, salads, etc.). Unfortunately, Montauk does not live up to the hype. read more

Montauk definitely lived up to the hype! Everyone in our group enjoyed their food, and there wasn't a single complaint at the table. I ordered the Honey Jalapeño Chicken Sandwich with fries, and so did my friend. We both agreed it was delicious especially after adding a little ranch. Since we had a larger group, we ordered a martini tower, which was fun to share and definitely had enough alcohol to catch a nice vibe. One of my friends ordered the Huevos Rancheros and really enjoyed them, while another got the chicken sliders and liked them so much she took the leftovers home and happily finished them later. The highlight of the experience was the live one-man band, who created a great atmosphere, and our server, "Flexy Lexi." She was incredibly sweet, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Great food, fun drinks, live entertainment, and excellent service. Loved every minute of being at The Montauk. It was a super chill and fun vibes and the staff made me and my coworker feel at home. I was not feeling the mezcal margarita and the server quickly changed it to the expresso martini that my coworker had. It was not super strong and had a nice hint of spice, vanilla, and cocoa. For Father's day I asked my wife to take me out to brunch at The Montauk! This is a place both my Wife and I and some friends have been wanting to visit. But on the occasions we've stopped in, it was crowded and/or waits were forever. I was impressed with our visit, though to a degree. They are correct in the description of their food being eclectic and the ambience giving you the feel of Nantucket or the Hamptons. A very, very Northeastern Beachy vibe. They offer a very relaxing lounge and bar, also enormous interior sitting areas divided up in sections, and an incredible outdoor setting - verandas and all. And, okay, I was surprised with the food. Underwhelmed by the variety on the menu, but stunned at the quality, preparation and the presentation of the servings. Our brunch started by we selecting two of our fave soups. My wife ordered the Lobster Bisque, which was delectable in every way enhanced with enormous chunks of fresh and tender lobster with an apropos use of Extra Virgin Olive Oil. The taste was superb. I had the creamy and delicious Clam Chowder that included sizable pieces of clam, with a perfect amount of thyme, and surprised at their use of bay leaf in their seasoning - a perfect rendition. Then we went on the real breakfast. She ordered an excellent rendition of French Pancakes with the appropriate amount of creme fraiche and a goodly amount of fresh, ripe strawberries. Very enjoyable and entertaining brunch with live music in the background. One major caveat. This is not the sort of place where you can just walk up and get a table - it's always an extremely busy place, nor is it a place where you make a simple OpenTable reservation and your done... in order to make a reservation, you must fork over your credit card, and you'll be charged $20 per person on the reservation if you don't show up! I just thought that was both something you the patron need to be aware of ahead of time and my dissatisfaction with such practice. If you're ordering food, the homemade chips and dips are always a must and the Hampton Water Rose is the perfect drink. We had a great time here on Wednesday night for a book club get together. There was live acoustic music that was very good. We sat outside on the back patio. It is a large patio with plenty of seating. I like how they lined the area with plants to give privacy from the street and sidewalk. It was half of bottles of wine that evening which made ot more enjoyable. Our server was very friendly and attentive. I hade the fish tacos with their homemade chips and dip on the side. I enjoyed my 8/23/25 late brunch experience at the Montauk but overall found it to be overpriced. There was free parking wrapped around the building and indoor and outdoor misted patio seating; to avoid a long wait time, we opted for the patio. Service was quick and attentive, and I ordered the Breakfast Biscuit Sandwich (canadian bacon, over easy egg, sweet butter, American cheese, mayo, side of crispy potatoes) and House Potato Chips (parmesan, truffle oil, french onion dip). Both of my foods were tasty, but I can't get over the fact that chips cost $11... and a simple biscuit was $13... I tried my friends' frozen Strawberry frose (Segura Viudus Brut Rose, Grey Goose Essences, Strawberry & Lemongrass vodka, strawberry) which tasted basically like a strawberry daiquiri and was pretty small for $15 (I estimate it was about 10 oz). Came to the montauk on Monday right at opening around 10:30 I believe. The staff were all so sweet and adorable . Great choice in the girls uniforms! They are so cute! Sweatshirts are definitely great quality too. Lol.. I started out with the peppermint mocha latte. It was the best I've ever had! Can't wait to try again so hopefully it's on the menu long enough for me to. Had the fish tacos. They were good but just slightly bland. I guess cod tends to be that way at most places. This was my second visit and you really can't beat the location, it's right by tons of shopping, which makes it perfect for a brunch and stroll kind of day. I absolutely love going to The Montauk in Scottsdale -- I genuinely don't think I've ever had a bad experience here. We recently visited on January 11 as our second stop for a girlfriend's birthday, and it was perfect. Our server, Emily, was AMAZING. So bubbly, fun, and friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about both the food and drinks. She gave great recommendations -- both customer favorites and her personal picks -- and truly elevated the entire experience. We started with drinks and then ordered a few fun appetizers to share: the deviled eggs, fried chicken sliders, burrata, and the housemade chips and dip. As always, everything was absolutely delicious. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I had an extra dirty martini followed by the "One and Only," while some of my girlfriends enjoyed margaritas, and a few ordered mocktails -- the Lavender Haze was a hit. It's a bright and airy place with a lot of outdoor and indoor seating. The Montauk has a daily brunch menu until 3pm and a Lunch/Dinner menu starting at 4pm. We got the brunch menu and sat inside as there were no tables available outside. Bummer. But all the walls are open and we benefitted from the warm air. After reviewing the menu, my wife and son got the Mediterranean Platter (they each got their own) and I ordered the House Burger. First, let's chat about the platter. They both got it with chicken skewers. It's a large platter and can easily be shared. Unless you know my son. He easily finished the platter on his own and then finished off what was left on my wife's plate. He's a growing boy. The platter comes with your choice of skewers, tomato + cucumber salad, olives, Beluga lentil hummus, tzazki, house rice, and naan. Like I said, a lot of food and can easily be shared. I ordered the house burger medium rare with cheddar and havarti cheese, lettuce, mustard, and pickle. It was a really good burger. I would easily revisit The Montauk just for the burger (and that was from their Daily Brunch menu. I'd love to check out their dinner menu. The place is very reminiscent of Cape Cod house or building one would find on the East Coast, Cape Cod, or Martha's Vineyard. It was cute. The service was very friendly and we got our food and drinks out fairly quick. I got the weekender sandwich (with no bacon, they don't have turkey bacon), and it was yummy, as were the potatoes it came with. We also ordered some iced lattes which were delicious. Decided to check out The Montauk for lunch with a colleague. We didn't have reservations, but we were able to snag a few seats at the bar. The restaurant is open air, beachy theme, and overlooks Scottsdale Road. I would give the service at the bar a 3 out of 5. The bartenders weren't very interactive with us. They didn't ask how our food tasted, kind of just ignored us during our visit. The reason I am giving them a 4 out of 5 on this review is because of that lobster roll. It was absolutely delicious. This place was recommended by a friend of mine that visits Scottsdale Arizona often so we had to check it out. This was a beautifully decorated restaurant in the middle of marketplace. Easy to locate and easy to find, they offered seating inside or out. It was a nice brisk day so we chose patio seating. The view and the scenery was spectacular. There was no wait seating and the service was outstanding. We ordered one appetizer of their famous Mac and cheese, it came in a shareable bowl. We then ordered their famous burgers, the hot honey jalapeño chicken sandwich, baby got fried egg, berry bowl (mixture of berries), and roasted potatoes ( they were served cold so we sent them back). This is one of the best restaurants I've visited, possibly ever! Popped in around 1pm on a Wednesday for my friends birthday brunch/lunch! We didn't have a reservation but were seated immediately (party of 2). The waitress came with glasses of water and gave us a minute to peruse the menu. I ordered the breakfast burrito ($13) and my friend got a coffee and ($13) weekender sandwich! Both were DELICIOUS and we RAVED about how good the salsa was. I couldn't believe how FAST the food came, I wanna say between 5-10 minutes, thought to myself "no way is that ours, this quick!" The breakfast potatoes were yummy as well. My burrito was really warm, the ingredients inside the perfect temperature according to the food. Bacon potato and eggs hot, avocado and tomato cold! My only complaint is that the bottom side of the burrito had lots of oil on it, I'm guessing from the bacon(?) or oil they cooked the egg/potato in? I blotted it off with a napkin and it was fine. Very filling and very large portion!! Service was excellent as our waitress (forgot her name, but she was young and maybe had pigtails, really pretty, friendly) was very attentive. We also had many other workers checking on us too. Parking wasn't bad either, they have a medium sized parking area with reserved spots! Not bad for Scottsdale. I have always wanted to stop by The Montauk and am so glad I finally did. We were seated immediately once we arrived. I met one of my friends here for all day happy hour on Monday, and I ordered one of their house cocktails (vodka soda) for $6. We then saw that the happy hour menu wasn't a huge price difference, so we ordered entrees and sides. I got the fish tacos and a Caesar salad which was delicious! I loved the sauce on the tacos and the Caesar salad was the perfect size to go with. My drink was the perfect strength and was tasty. I love the decor of this place.
