Loved every minute of being at The Montauk. It was a super chill and fun vibes and the staff made me and my coworker feel at home. I was not feeling the mezcal margarita and the server quickly changed it to the expresso martini that my coworker had. It was not super strong and had a nice hint of spice, vanilla, and cocoa. For the drinks and experience it is so worth it for Scottsdale. I cannot wait to come back and check it out!

Looking for great brunch spot or a simple yet amazing lunch or dinner? Look no further this is the spot! We came on a Monday which is happy hour ALL day! The menu is extensive and really good. We ordered the burrata, rock shrimp, and chicken sliders. The ambiance is basically in the name Montauk, caped code vibes. I would definitely come back when I'll visit Scottsdale again.

I was down visiting a friend and we popped in for brunch. The atmosphere is awesome (maybe a bit loud) but fun. We shared a few appetizers and had some espresso martinis. Great service and great food!

For Father's day I asked my wife to take me out to brunch at The Montauk! This is a place both my Wife and I and some friends have been wanting to visit. But on the occasions we've stopped in, it was crowded and/or waits were forever. I was impressed with our visit, though to a degree. They are correct in the description of their food being eclectic and the ambience giving you the feel of Nantucket or the Hamptons. A very, very Northeastern Beachy vibe. They offer a very relaxing lounge and bar, also enormous interior sitting areas divided up in sections, and an incredible outdoor setting - verandas and all. And, okay, I was surprised with the food. Underwhelmed by the variety on the menu, but stunned at the quality, preparation and the presentation of the servings. Our brunch started by we selecting two of our fave soups. My wife ordered the Lobster Bisque, which was delectable in every way enhanced with enormous chunks of fresh and tender lobster with an apropos use of Extra Virgin Olive Oil. The taste was superb. I had the creamy and delicious Clam Chowder that included sizable pieces of clam, with a perfect amount of thyme, and surprised at their use of bay leaf in their seasoning - a perfect rendition. Then we went on the real breakfast. She ordered an excellent rendition of French Pancakes with the appropriate amount of creme fraiche and a goodly amount of fresh, ripe strawberries. Very enjoyable and entertaining brunch with live music in the background. One major caveat. This is not the sort of place where you can just walk up and get a table - it's always an extremely busy place, nor is it a place where you make a simple OpenTable reservation and your done... in order to make a reservation, you must fork over your credit card, and you'll be charged $20 per person on the reservation if you don't show up! I just thought that was both something you the patron need to be aware of ahead of time and my dissatisfaction with such practice. Even much better and more expensive restos do not charge you for not coming! Things happen! Otherwise, we recommend the Montauk... if you can get in!

We came to town for my daughter's bachelorette week and loved this place so much we came 3 times for brunch! Loved sitting outside and listening to live music. Food is great, drinks even better and service was fabulous every visit. We recommend: Avocado toast Weekender sandwich breakfast burrito Any coffee drinks!

The Montauk has always been my go-to place in Old Town, whether it be for brunch, lunch, dinner or grabbing drinks with friends. If you're ordering food, the homemade chips and dips are always a must and the Hampton Water Rose is the perfect drink. The Montauk gives all the Hampton vibes with its unique designs and upscale, beachy vibes. Unfortunately, they don't take reservations and the restaurant is usually always busy. However, it's always worth it and the service is always great. When you find a delicious, local, consistent spot, you always want to go. The Montauk is that and more!

My girlfriend and I went here for brunch on a Saturday. It was very crowded so we got lucky with two seats open at the bar. Bartender was attentive, but not so friendly. I ordered huevos rancheros and it was just okay, not at all what I expected on how it was plated and it didn't have a lot of flavor. Chicken was good though. My girlfriend had the breakfast burrito and said it was great. Prices are a little high but it's Old Town, so expected. Ambiance is nice and people watching is always fun!

The staff welcomed our bridal party with open arms! The bride to be had a wonderful time and all of us loved the food. Brunch and dinner both have different vibes but the ambiance for brunch was great and music wasn't too loud. Recommend

Tried this spot for a quick brunch bite and ordered the grilled jalapeño chicken sandwich with fries. Unfortunately, the meal didn't seem fresh or served hot.The atmosphere is nice and the service was decent, but the food itself was subpar in my opinion.

We had a great time here on Wednesday night for a book club get together. There was live acoustic music that was very good. We sat outside on the back patio. It is a large patio with plenty of seating. I like how they lined the area with plants to give privacy from the street and sidewalk. It was half of bottles of wine that evening which made ot more enjoyable. Our server was very friendly and attentive. I hade the fish tacos with their homemade chips and dip on the side. The food tasted fresh with great flavoring. It came out fast. We shated the key lime pie dessert jar which was also very tasty. It was a great experience with a very nice menu.

I was at The Montauk yesterday and absolutely loved it! The atmosphere was amazing -- fun, lively, and full of great energy. The food was really delicious and beautifully presented. The service was friendly and attentive the whole time. Prices are very fair for the quality of food and experience you get. Highly recommend this place -- I'll definitely be coming back!

The food was great. The service took a little longer than I would have expected it to - it wasn't busy enough to justify our wait, but the food was worth it. The atmosphere was noisy but upbeat. There wasn't anything spectacular about the experience, except for our server's sunny disposition.

Mediterranean platter with steak kebab what's nicely portioned and has a good variety of sides but the flavors were a bit muted. The steak was prepared perfectly almost medium rare, 2 skewers of 4 small cubes and the bread was great.

But, if you're looking for a really cool bar, KWSC is for you. I stopped by on a week day evening around 8:30 p.m. Located in Roosevelt Row, while there isn't parking, I found free parking on the street a few minutes away on foot. Ambiance (4.5/5): My type of spot. Dimly lit with a speakeasy vibe. There are eight or so seats at the bar, and the rest of your seating options consist of comfortable chairs and sofas. You'll see a lot of photos of people's bums on the walls lol. This is indeed part of the appeal. For free, if you would like, they will take a polaroid of your butt and memorialize you eternally on the walls. While I didn't do that, if that's up your alley, go for it. Service (2/5): This is the main area of improvement. After being seated, I was greeted promptly and got my first cocktail promptly. From there, things fell apart. I had to grab the bartender's attention to order my second drink and to close out. It was a week day and they weren't busy. And there were two bartenders. A lack of attentiveness. When I closed out, I noticed that the cocktails were both $2 more expensive than what was listed on the menu. When I inquired, I was told that the menus were outdated... umm what? If you're not going to re-print your menus, give people a heads-up when they arrive. I understand that most people won't notice, but this is deception. Food (N/A): I was on a liquid diet. If you're trying to eat here, all they have is snacks. The menu doesn't specify but I'm thinking it's probably chips or somethign like that. Drinks (4/5): A lengthy, and interesting, cocktail list. Similar to a speakeasy, you're going to see creativity and an interesting blend of flavors here. The most popular drink is Fuck Nazis. We're seeing a theme here. KWSC is an interesting spot. For various dollar amounts, you can get funny things outside of the polaroids of your bum. My first cocktail was great. My second one, a tiki drink, not so much. The menu said that there would be some flame action happening. It didn't. Just another example of the service falling short. If the service were better, Killer Whale Sex Club would easily be a five-star experience.

The atmosphere was unique, the bartenders were genuinely engaging, and there was a real sense of community that made every visit memorable. It became my go-to spot to bring friends from out of town and every single person I brought absolutely loved it! Back then, the cocktails felt intentional and creative, not just rushed out for volume. The staff remembered regulars, conversations flowed naturally, and the whole place had this warm, eclectic energy that made you want to stay for hours. Even on busy nights, it somehow still felt personal. Unfortunately, over the last couple of years, the vibe has changed quite a bit. The drinks just aren't as consistently good as they used to be, especially considering the prices now. Service feels far more transactional and impersonal, and the atmosphere that once made this place stand out has faded into something much more generic. It feels less like a neighborhood gem and more like a stop on a nightlife circuit.

I liked the look and vibes of the place and decided we needed to circle back through here before the night was over. After dinner we explored the Scottsdale nightlife and decide to end our night here. The vibe was completely different later in the night. This time we had to go through bouncers. The lounge itself is absolutely stunning. They have an indoor space that is beautifully decorated with lots of different seating options. They have an open air concept with one side open to the rooftop pool deck. The bartenders and staff were scantily clad which definitely had gentleman hanging at the bar too long. That meant long waits to get a drink. For a place that looks so upscale, I was disappointed in the drinks. Online they talk about a next level mixology experience and that was not our experience. I also was quite surprised to see that cocktails were $20! I know it's the W but that is pretty pricey. Also note that this is considered the pool area so the drinks are served in plastic cups. Aside from that, I like the space and atmosphere and had a nice time sitting in one of the couch areas which I assume are the VIP areas during pool hours.

Based on how this place is described and marketed, we were expecting an intimate, vintage-feeling evening where we could sit down, have a cocktail, listen to jazz, and enjoy the atmosphere. That was not our experience. There were definitely things we liked. The location was great, the overall theme and decor were beautiful, the lighting created a great atmosphere, and we enjoyed the food and drinks. The service was also very good. However, the entertainment was a huge miss and completely took us out of the experience. We walked in and the band was performing "Genie in a Bottle," followed by other current/recent pop songs, Backstreet Boys songs, and "Creep." The singer was repeatedly screaming into the microphone and encouraging everyone to scream and make noise. At one point, while sitting in what is supposed to be a speakeasy, we were literally listening to him sing "creep" which is one of the most depressing songs of all time. It felt much more like being at a loud dive bar or country bar than an intimate 1920s inspired speakeasy. My biggest issue is that the entertainment did not match the experience being advertised. You can decorate a room beautifully and make it look like the 1920s, but when the soundtrack is "Genie in a Bottle," "Creep," and Backstreet Boys songs being loudly belted into a microphone, the illusion disappears pretty quickly. The noise level also made it difficult to simply sit, have a drink, talk, and enjoy the space. We specifically chose this place because we wanted that relaxed jazz/speakeasy experience, and that simply wasn't what we got. The cocktail selection was another disappointment. For a speakeasy-style bar, I expected a stronger selection of specialty bourbon and whiskey cocktails. The prices also felt excessive for the overall experience. On top of the already-high prices, we paid a $20 entertainment cover ($10 per person) specifically for the band. I wouldn't have minded paying a cover for quality live entertainment that fit the advertised atmosphere, but the artist was not particularly impressive and, more importantly, the music didn't fit the theme at all. There is a lot of potential here. The space itself is beautiful, the service was good, and they nailed many of the visual details. Unfortunately, the entertainment is such a major part of a speakeasy experience that it overshadowed everything else for us. If you're specifically looking for jazz, flapper-era music, and an authentic-feeling 1920s speakeasy atmosphere, I would not recommend this place based on our experience.

I came with my husband and my bestie for some birthday cocktails and bites. We were actually lucky enough to have our Uber driver point out the door on the way in, I don't want to give away any secrets but keep an eye out for a door marked with the goose silhouette. It was very back-door, hush hush The cocktails were fantastic! The Clover Club was by far my favorite but everything we got was wonderful! I definitely recommend getting some bites while you're there too, we got the charcuterie board and it was plenty for the three of us. Nick took great care of us, making excellent recommendations throughout our visit but the star of the show was Miss Bella! She was so sweet right off the bat, welcoming us in and wishing me a very happy birthday! She very clearly takes a lot of personal pride in her customer care and it shows! Plus, her nails?? Gorgeous! We really had a great time and will definitely be back soon! Thank you The Goose for a wonderful birthday!
