A visit to Apalachicola would not be complete without a visit to The Grady Market. A historically rich and beautiful building with charm and exposed red brick even if you don't feel like buying anything. Don't feel like buying something? Ok then you're weird, crotchety or poor because I bought all kinds of stuff: apparel, candy, candles, beach & fishing wear... The staff is friendly and helpful. I mentioned in passing that two items were a gift for a family member feeding our cats back at home and poof! Just those items were in a gift bag with tissue paper! Impressive and at no extra cost. As with all stores in downtown Apalachicola there is free, abundant and close parking. read more

all of y'all are crazy calling this an antique shop, the outside is very historic, nice doggy bowl outside for the pups. it's just another overpriced white person shop for floridians nothing out the ordinary. maybe golf shirts for the men, a pink or light blue blouse for the ladies but nothing you'd HAVE to have. read more

Right across from the river, a great place to window shop for me. They have a little bit of everything and something for everyone, although I felt things were a little out of my price range. (Things weren't necessarily overpriced, they were just normally expensive items and more than I was thinking of spending in window shopping. For instance Patagonia shorts for $45.). The staff was very friendly and I loved the history of the building. I would definable rely check it out if you have a chance. read more

I go to this shop every visit to the beach. I love the products they sell. I went again jan 2021. The sign on their door says masks required. My first visit everyone had a mask on so i felt comfortable taking my mother there the next day. However, when we were checking out, the lady did not have a mask on. I asked my mother out loud "step back , she does not have a mask" . I thought she might put one on after hearing that but she did not. So i signed the receipt for my mother and told her to wait outside...again..out loud with the lady behind the counter right there. She still did not put on a mask. I spent hundreds of dollars there and now regret it. My mother has a heart condition and i feel she should have put her mask on. I will not go back again. read more

They have some really unique clothing not found elsewhere and the prices tend to be high. Most of the women's clothing caters to tall, thin women so for those of us who are short or anyone who has curves if can be difficult to find much. I have bought items here for over 20 years and always been pleased to find unique gifts, clothes, eye glasses cords, men's hats, sea theme dishes, food items, jewelry, shoes, and lots of Life is Good choices. Their quality is tops, service is friendly, and variety is endless. It is in an old historic building, close to the river, good restaurants, and other kinds of shops in which to meader, as well as near the public park and restrooms. We have been coming to this area for 4 years now, and every year the Grady Market was our favorite shopping experience. But this year, 2018, we were very disappointed when we went to visit, especially with the women's clothing section which is now high-end, pricey Eileen Fisher merchandise, way too expensive for most peoples' tastes. We used to go out of therewith all of us buying lots of stuff, this year no one bought anything. read more

So upset when I left this store. We stay on St. George Island a lot and we always visit Grady's market. This time, I was greeted by a sales person who looked me up and down and said "can I show you to the sale rack?" I know I'm not Miss America but I do have the kind of money that it takes to shop here and was planning on spending a lot. Needless to say I left quickly and will not ever be back. read more
