I stayed here with my dog for 4 days and had the loveliest time. On my way up to the hotel, I unfortunately got stung several times by a Yellowjacket and was feeling dizzy and nauseous a day after arriving. Serena was so lovely and got me water, ice, some Benadryl cream, and even offered to drive me to urgent care (which is quite far) if I needed to go. When traveling on your own, it's so lovely to know someone has your back if something goes wrong. I went on several lovely bike rides around the hotel, which was a highlight. There's also a little creek right across the street that I took my dog down to wade around and cool off. I didn't get to use the pool because I was working most days but all the kiddos at the hotel were loving it. About a mile from Phoenicia Diner, which never disappoints. Martin, one of the hotel owners, was so lovely and checked in on me a few times. The rooms are clean and well appointed. And finally, I made a SUPER silly mistake and didn't realize that I booked an extra night. They didn't have to refund me at all...it was my mistake...but they did and I'm so grateful. I had the pleasure of staying here last weekend for a wedding (which was hosted beautifully by the way on the property)... This is by no means a five star hotel, but for where you are and compared to many of the other establishments in the area, this is absolutely a "4 to 5 star" motel and worth staying at. The staff is incredibly attentive and so friendly. They texted me regularly asking about my arrival time, breakfast order, and if there was anything they could do. When you pull up you might think you're at "some motel", but this place has a ton of charm. The rooms are very cozy and most importantly, clean! I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the bathrooms and while the rooms aren't huge, they serve their purpose. Also, keep in mind you're in a remote area and cell service is basically nonexistent, so the fact that the entire property has high speed Wi-Fi is a HUGE plus! The only negatives I could think of are it does lack some amenities (I.e. no television in the room), and other than breakfast there isn't really on-site dining. Also, maybe this was because of the date/time of year but we were required to pay for both weekend nights (Friday and Saturday) when I only needed Saturday... but in all, if I'm ever back in this area I would definitely stay here again! read more

We just returned from a long weekend at The Graham & Co the entire family loved it! It was our first visit to the Catskills and The Graham was a cozy retreat that was perfect for everyone and our dog. The staff is more than staff - they are genuinely warm and kind and I felt comfortable asking them for all sorts of help/advice: where to eat, closing times for stores, which trails and which room was best for us. We stayed in the Deluxe Double and it was a great space for us! The overall vibe was rustic, very comfortable, and SO clean! The toiletries are wonderful and for sale at reception, which is so charming...they converted a two car garage into a rustic chic reception area where you can get complimentary fresh coffee, tea, and snacks. There were many more amenities that I anticipated...there was a communal "den" for movies, games, and hanging with larger groups. Also the 2 outdoor fireplaces were so cozy in the chilly mornings and nights. We skipped rocks across the river, hikes the trails, and our dog, as well as other guests' dogs were greatly welcomes everywhere at the Graham and Co. Oh and complimentary breakfast delivered to your door every morning. WOW! We loved everything about this place and wish everyone there has much success and happiness as they can stand. My stay really started 3 months prior as I saw this fantastic motel on a short series called ReMotel, on Discovery+. As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to go there for an upcoming birthday getaway. My wife and I booked for a weekend during peak fall foliage in Phoenicia. The place is ultimately a vibe. Industrial rustic decor with a reclaimed modern feel. It's simplistic, this is not a typical motel or lodge- no tv, no fridges, no paved parking, no cell service. There IS great customer service, thoughtful amenities, a peaceful plot of land nestled between 2 mountains with an adjacent raging river, bustling fire pits, breakfast every morning, opportunities to interact with bears, a short walk to downtown Phoenicia, pet friendly, and offers free bud heavies (there's much more, this just what I liked). There is a den that you can reserve for movie night or just a chill tv night when you connect to the WiFi. It is a 5 min drive to the famous Phoenicia Diner, and 7 mins to Woodstock Brewing- both favorites of mine. Hiking is plentiful around the motel too! This place has everything you need to live comfortably yet check out from the entire world if you'd like. I drove from Baltimore to get away for a birthday, and I would 100% do it again! read more

This August, my best friend chose The Graham & Co for their wedding celebration and it was simply magical! It was my first time in the Catskills and this was a great place to rest our heads. I shared a double room with some friends. It had a major rustic vibe that set the mood nicely. I also got to explore some of the other room setups including the bungalow which was a great space! Breakfast was included each day and we could choose between a couple of different options which was appreciated. Coffee was readily available in the lobby/shop area, along with a few other goodies to snatch up. It was an easy walk to town which had some cute restaurants and shops. On the night of the wedding, our friends made the most of the open green space to arrange their amazing party. The owner also made for a movie night with a projector, blankets, and popcorn which was amazing. Overall, would definitely not hesitate to stop here again if I was ever in Phonecia. The room wasn't anything fancy and didn't have A/C, but we spent most of our time outside. Thanks for the great stay! read more

I stayed in the bunk room which for right now is great as we had our bathroom (not attached). NOTE: You can hear through the walls, so I imagine if your neighbors aren't quite after hours you will hear them talking or atleast come in. Ours came in after 10:30 pm and I woke up to them opening the door. We used the bikes, but unfortunately the seats don't move on the bikes so good luck finding one that fits you. The fire pit at night was a nice touch and there is a hammock to hang out in. It was great to see that the pool is open and they allow 10 people max. They also have 2 tubes that they keep in the pool to use. I'd stay here again, but a bit over priced for a bunk room, and not sure what the value is for the private places. read more

The Graham + Co exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed our stay and everyone was so friendly and kind. The accommodations were well appointed and Catskills appropriate. The Graham is located just a short distance from the center of town where there are cute places to walk into and great spots to eat. We enjoyed the morning drop-off of breakfast and the coffee was always piping hot. This is a dog-friendly establishment and there's a wide expanse of grass for our pups. We came home every night to a fire burning in a fire pit, giving us that wonderful Catskills ambiance. Everything about the Graham is well considered. We can't wait to go back. The Graham & Co is truly a gem. If you want to get away from the distractions of the world (read: chaos of nyc) this is the place to do it. The rooms are efficient and well designed. You have everything you need and none of what you don't. The owner Martin is a truly warm and kind person and the warmth and kindness is also reflected in the staff. They were beyond helpful with any and all information I needed as this was my first trip to Phoenicia. Be forewarned that there is no cell phone service in Phoenicia sans a few random spots on Main st but there is WiFi. I would absolutely recommend staying here and absolutely will be back. read more

I wanted to like this place, but it's essentially an Econolodge with a couple elevated touches like Edison bulbs and nice soap. Pretty much exactly like my college dorm room. This place makes me realize that rustic chic actually requires a palpable underlying foundation of luxury, otherwise it doesn't work. But again, if this place was priced more appropriately (under $100/night on weekends), I'd be all in. The photos available through the site and through social feeds are very misleading, at least for the smaller room. Haven't seen the larger one. That said I can see how those photos came to be: this place is highly 'grammable'. It's just that the reality is a far cry from those pics. Makes me reflect on how we use Instagram to begin with: to make our lives seem more aspirational. This hotel plays into that. So it's kind of our own fault in a way.. we're drawn by Edison bulbs and burlap, once we get here, we don't want to show the world that we're suckers and are actually we're staying in a budget motel, so we take photos of this place that mask the flaws and make our stay look , and that's how new guests are suckered in turn. Graham & co is just smart. I don't blame them... Graham & co: low hanging fruit would be to make sure your frames are fixed in every room, patch up any holes around electrical outlets, add some hooks, maybe some air plants in the bathroom, and do something about that mirror that hangs behind the door to the bathroom. It reads DORM. And your curtain system... in a luxury Scandinavian room it would come off how it's currently intended (minimalist chic), but in your current setup it tips the room feel into budget dorm room vibe. Maybe there's a better way to use that fabric (more eyelets and have it run on a wire, or something...I don't know). Your staff is nice. read more

The hotel owner, Martin actually contacted me regarding this review with sincere apologies and hoping to better understand what he could do better. It was most appreciated and quite a nice gesture. He expressed that his staff would have done as much as possible to make things better such as providing additional light for the room or fans. He acknowledged better noting on the website regarding the lack of a/c and explained his hope to establish an industrial aesthetic which was evidenced in the rug, rubber bathroom floor and Edison lights. Although there might be a difference between establishing a particular aesthetic and still offering comfort in my opinion his concern was genuinely appreciated. My boyfriend and I just stayed here and I couldn't recommend this place more. If you are looking for serious escape and relaxation... Graham & Company knows how to do it. This place is magical. They have a beautiful pool, a huge yard with a fire pit, hammocks and activities. They also have bikes you can take to ride around in the town of Phoenicia. Then hotel was being super diligent with cleaning and sanitation with covid going on, and we felt more than comfortable, and appreciated their efforts to keep everyone safe and happy. Coffee and donuts were amazing too. The staff was absolutely great and so helpful with anything we needed. Can't wait to go back! read more

I booked this room on a friend's recommendation when taking a last minute weekend trip without looking up reviews first, which I realize is my bad, and now I'm left with major regrets, an empty wallet, and a lot of questions for my "friend." Sure, this place as a whole is mildly cute and cozy-ish, but they are absolutely milking the crap out of the millennials looking for a weekend in the woods, and it honestly feels like they're taking advantage of people with these outrageous rates. I stayed in one of their bunk houses, which for some unknown reason cost $155 per night, $170 with tax. I was there during a holiday weekend, but it looks like the room's regular rate is around $125. There is no en suite bathroom, which I don't really care about, but didn't realize that in advance and was pretty flabbergasted when I showed up (again, some of this is my bad, but at that rate you should be able to make some base assumptions about what to expect). Bathroom sharing alone means this room should start under $100 a night. Take off another $20 for the bare-bones decor and lack of in-room conveniences. Take off another $10 for the sad view of the parking lot through the one sad window that's using a sad piece of fabric as a sad curtain, which does nothing to block out the lights they keep on outside at night nor the early morning sunlight. And take off another $10 cause I'm mad. This room is worth $60. Nah, it's worth $50. I feel swindled and deeply regret staying the second night, and wish I had asked for a refund and just slept in the car. The pool is cute I suppose, and there's a nice little field which is good for a fire, and there's a modest breakfast, but those things shouldn't raise the rate of the room that much. I wasn't even able to use the pool, because when I was there a loud contingent had taken it over and was blasting music. I tried to go in to the field to stargaze in the middle of the night, but the bright lights they have up all around prevented that, and also lit up my room to the point I could read in bed without trouble. Maybe the regular, non-bunk rooms that have en-suites are much better, but I looked at those rates, too, and I can't imagine they're worth the price either. Tbh I should have just gone camping. read more

The Graham & Co is the best boutique hotel that I've ever been to. It's so incredibly designed and in such beautiful part of the world. Each of the rooms are impeccably designed. Also, the owners (Martin & Joe) are extremely accommodating and welcoming. I just adopted a newborn pet who could not be left alone and they let me bring her. They also made the best breakfasts and made sure to greet everyone there. Last but not, the WIFI is amazing! It goes all the way from entry to the back fire pits. For a town that has zero WIFI, they are crushing that. read more

We had a great stay at the motel in Phoenicia to celebrate our engagement . Staff were all so nice and helpful. Booking "The Den" for two hour blocks was a great idea. We were able to watch a movie by the fireplace and relax alone outside of our room. Being a very short walk to town was also a great perk. Location location, location.... If you are thinking of going caping but a lil scared, this is a great place to start without feeling too much like a luxurious hotel experience; Glamping is the way to go. The rooms are simple with basic necessities in descent quantities. Just look at the huge bottle of shampoo and conditioner; no skimping here! The bed was comfy as fuck! There was a nice rustic tone to the room, but nature-like still with the accent rug and wooden furniture. one suggestions tho, the door in our room got stuck a bit, but it's wasn't a huge deal. Room was very clean and cozy. The amenities highlight the experience of nature-like activities right outside your door. Bikes are readily available at your finger tips. You also have access to the pool and the Lions Den where you can play board games or simply Netflix ( or Hulu) and chill. You can also chill on a few of the available hammocks and snuggle up under the stars or during the day with a good book. At night we roasted marshmallows over the fire and devoured some Smores. For us city folk, it was very dark outside at night but we were Beary aware. get it? hehehe. Although we did not encounter any Bears, be on the look out. If you really want to embrace your inner child we recommend playing badminton, soccer or any of the other available sports. Ambiance: 5/5 Super chill! After we arrived we casually checked in and Chance offered complimentary beer and water. Nice refresher after our 2.5 hour drive from NYC. Granted, we were the only Asian and Black people there, but that did not seem to be a factor in anyway. Staff: 5/5 Everyone was really laid back, helpful and relaxed. We also were able to check out one hour later without hassle. The owners son was also very nice! ( Happy Birthday!) Price: 200.00/night 4/5 Pretty pricy if your looking at numbers. You might think who would spend 200.00/night in a simple hotel in the middle of nowhere? Well we did and you should too because the overall experience was worth it. Authenticity - check Cool, laid back vibe - check Hip yet not pretentious - check Stayed in a deluxe room and it was huge and everything we needed but in truth if staying for a weekend you could easily have a standard room if you don't need the kitchen area....there's always the cool bunk bed/dorm area too! Too early in the season for the pool to be open or the outdoor evening movie screenings which was a shame but would only add to the overall experience....it's fully booked as a I write this review for the whole of the summer....quite frankly it deserves to be. read more

It's hands off and unplugged. Exactly what I needed. I keep thinking about it, and wish I could go back. It feels like an adult summer camp, easy access by bus ($34) from Port authority in nyc, great design and branding, and you get a bike to cruise around town. Nightly campfires are a must. The whole space is great for relaxing, romantic, unplugged, close to a river, close to a mountain, awesome communal den/lounge space, lots of woodsy smells, great shampoo, you may see a bear (I loved it), everything is highly instagramable. Tips: no pets, no tv, extremely hands-off customer service (no houskeeping/ice/etc unless you ask) , no cell phone service but there is wifi; ie download whatsapp, you sign a disclaimer about bears, non-refundable booking without a two week notice, there are communal fridges in the den common space (no in-room fridge unless you upgrade). 99% of the limited nearby places are closed monday-wed (bring food and snacks), no ac, no coffee shops in town. read more

Small town feel with a great Main Street, yoga studio around the corner, hiking trails for the experienced, beautiful decor, amazing breakfast spread with great coffee, fire pits everywhere. You had me at the Donald Judd daybed! But, you lost me at the tiny bathroom where sitting on the toilet shoved the tp roll into my arm and the door into my knees. That doesn't work for me. (6' 190#) I was disappointed to not have a tv in the room. But we had an enjoyable evening watching Moonlight Kingdom in the common den with some of the other guests. I loved tending the wood stove with firewood. The easy walk to town was a big plus. I loved taking an impromptu bike ride on the old time single gear bikes. Loved the breakfast buffet!
