Logan's Sourdough Focaccia, Stracciatella, Speck and Nimbus charcuterie, Smoked Trout & Corn Fritters

Food: 5/5 I'd give Deer Mountain's food a 6/5 if I could. We had Logan's Sourdough Focaccia ($10), Stracciatella dip ($14), Speck ($8) and Nimbus ($11), Smoked Trout & Corn Fritters ($14), and Lamb Shank ($52). We started with the focaccia, stracciatella dip, and charcuterie. The stracciatella was just fun. I've had a great stracciatella gelato before, and this dip was like same but as a dip for bread. Nutty, creamy, and a bit chocolatey balanced. Our charcuterie came paired with some figs, peppers, and mustard. The trout and corn fritters were amazing. It's like a super airy, crispy seafood hushpuppy. It's kinda tucked away under Standard Fare of the menu, but it is a must order. The lamb shank was also very good. There is no gaminess in the meat. The sauce was a nice balance of sweet and tart from the plum and berries. Service: 5/5 No complaints with service. Our waiter was very accommodating and explain each dish we ordered to us and gave good recommendations. Drinks and food all came out pretty quickly. Ambience: 5/5 The place is called Deer Mountain Inn and that's exactly how it felt. The wooden interior, fireplace, deer head on the wall, chandelier, carpeting really made this feel like an inn.

Deer Mountain Inn was unique place to visit. The moment you arrive, warm greeting with welcome cookie and cheese makes you to feel special. The inn was cozy, woodsy ski lodge vibe. Our room was very comfortable. We loved wandering the trails around the property. Staffs were exceptional and consistently going above and beyond to make sure we enjoy our statz Dinner was truly a highlight. The chicken, salad, steak and cocktails were one of the best ive had in Westchester area. The foods were sourced locally, everything was fresh and delicious. This Inn is dog friendly. Our dog had so much fun walking the trails around the property.

My partner and I love to stop by for a drink and bar bites. We've stopped by 4-5x over the past year, each with more anticipation prior to our arrival. We've come to absolutely LOVE the ambiance, service and more than anything, the flavor. During our first visit, we enjoyed a couple drinks.. we didn't fall in love with the place, but it caught our attention. We visited a month later and met Kyyeah, or as we like to say, Ky-HELL-YEAH (purposely corny)! Since then, Ky has simply made us feel like a part of the establishment.. he's introduced new menu options with enthusiastic detail and his recs NEVER fail. During our latest visit, we walked in without a reservation, but were greeted warmly and given an accurate wait time. When seated we enjoyed a delicious Pinot Noir WHITE wine, a Honeysuckle cocktail and a plethora of delicious appetizers that we've come to love. Although Ky wasn't our server he made sure to stop by, say hello and send over some delicious seasonal olives. Our actual server, Nima, was as welcoming as could be.. frequently ensuring our questions were answered and we had no requests unmet. All in all, just an absolute joy of an evening every single time. Simply cannot wait for our next visit!

Special place run by special people with special chefs cooking up special food. Seriously one of the best meals I've ever had in my life. It's definitely pricey but at least the food, drinks, and service back it up. I wasn't even going to leave a review because I don't want this place to be too crowded but I have to give them the props they deserve. Can't wait to come back!

My partner and I came to Deer Mountain Inn for dinner and it was a memorable dining experience! The backdrop of the well-kept grounds was impeccable in addition to all of the delicious food. Our server, Steven, was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and added a great layer to our time there. We will definitely be returning as soon as we can.

    The grounds are beautifully kept.

Well I have to say this is a find. Greg and I believe her name was Kate were awesome and welcoming. The staff was brilliant. The atmosphere will blow you away. We got a drink and walked the grounds. You have to do this. After we sat on a little private bench and just took it all in. So the interior is amazing but the grounds rival it. Don't Forget the food. It was all delicious and worth going. I will be back with guests. I can't wait to do it again. The trout was amazing

Cozy, warm. Welcoming. Friendly and delicious!! Our waiter was wonderful. The food was amazing....and we stayed well past dinner enjoying the ambience, drinks and atmosphere. While we didn't stay here this time, we will next time. It's everything you want for a weekend in the mountains. Charming!!

What a hidden gem. Cozy, warm, speakeasy-ish. Staff is incredibly attentive and knowledgeable. Innovative cocktail program and delicious food. Can't wait to come back in the fall and experience the grounds, but even on a rainy night in February, it was the perfect place to cozy up on a worn leather sofa by the wood burning fireplace with a deck of cards.

I wasn't sure what to expect so it was a bit of luxury hotel shock or the lack of for me. I'm used to staying at nicer franchise hotels but for the price I paid at this B&B it def was a good value. The rooms have double beds so for the price I paid it was insanely dirt cheap when split with my friend who room shared with me. So based on the price I paid I can't say this place was bad and what my hiking team needed was pretty much a bed and pillow for the night. Snowed Inn provides just that, bed & pillow for a quick rest. Upper levels have rooms with shared bathroom and shower room. They do offer free wifi and the rooms have really bad decor but if you can look past the bad decor and outdated feel of the place it truly does have value for what you pay. The old lady that was running it the night I stood, presumably the owner, was super nice. Lower level has coffee, cereal and very minor amenities. So if you are in the area and just need a quick night or two to rest then this place can fit the bill. If you plan on being out in the Catskills for more than 2 days I'd probably find someplace a bit nicer if that's what you need (based on your personal preferences/luxury requirements). Would I stay here again? Absolutely!

It is hard to believe this little piece of heaven is just 10 miles off the Thruway and near Hunter Mountain of all places. We stayed in Room 2, which has a private deck (facing the Clove and Sunrise) as well as a jetted tub. At $200 it was also pretty reasonable. We slept great in the queen-sized four-poster bed and very much enjoyed the free WiFi. The owners, Kathy and Sean are wonderful: the perfect balance of helpfulness and aloofness. This is the second B&B Kathy designed and she really did learn a lot from the experience. She is also an outstanding baker (and I know my baked goods)- we really enjoyed the breakfast! Sean was knowledgeable about local hiking routes and parks: he pointed us to the "secret" and refreshingly easy hike down to the top of Kaaterskill Falls (*exquisite* view) and then to the gorgeous all day hike up in North-South Lake State Park. The views of the Hudson Valley and then the mountains and lake were a revelation. Next time I will bring a picnic lunch and a six-pack to complete my idea of a perfect fall day. All in all it was a perfect weekend and I can't wait to go back!
