Now, this wonderful little coffee shop tucked into the old post office still sells coffee beans and classic coffee, but seems to have less of a bean sales area. Comfy, cozy, eclectic, and a staple of the Hillcrest area, River City Coffee continues to be a wonderful spot to grab coffee locally. The baristas were friendly and quick with our orders, and a refill for a simple hot coffee was also very quick. My latte was fresh (definitely not a place I had to worry about a dead shot of espresso!) and delicious. Mom's mocha was delightful, and she enjoyed the warm ceramic mug almost as much as the coffee inside- there's just something about being able to wrap your hands around a mug on a cold morning! The rye bread pairs quite nicely with the roast beef. We also shared the turkey sandwich, which was good but not as memorable as the pastrami.
