We've been patrons for the last 3 years and everyone involved are volunteers. You can become a patron for as little as $25 and take advantage of discounted tickets and pre-sales which give you first dibs on seats before performances go on sale to the public. One of the things we like the best is the intimate theater. Rather than the cavernous theaters and faraway stages of Broadway performances, this is a tiny theater where there is no bad seat. Importantly, the acting is first rate for a small community theater. You can tell the actors (and stage hands, sound person, etc.) put their all into creating first rate performances. Also, it is a non-profit. Snacks and drinks, including wine (maybe beer? Not sure) are available for purchase. After each performance the actors come out into the front area to greet audience members as they leave. There are typically nighttime shows at 8 pm on Friday and Saturday nights and matinee performances on Sunday afternoon. Also, sometimes they hold one time events like a comedy night or patron parties. Can you tell I'm a fan? Treat yourself by attending one of their shows...it's highly likely you'll be glad that you did.

And this theater is the perfect size with several hundred seats available. The sound is pretty good and the seats are a good size. Parking is somewhat plentiful but the city hall lot says you will be towed, even after hours, so don't park there. Both times I've been the theater group was selling some snacks. Fine spot to catch a show, especially when adolescent family members are in it!

This was when the theater was inside of Attraction's Salon and the experience was like no other. I had quite a long hiatus, not due to anything in particular, but by the time I returned to Cutting Edge as an audience member, the theater was a whole new place with lovely theater seating and an elevated stage as well as very professional sound and lighting. I want to say my first show back was Beauty and the Beast but that's all it took. It wasn't long before I was a season passholder. I have seen many shows at Cutting Edge from big musicals to small straight place and also many original shows that paid tribute to some of my favorite musical artists of all time. One day I got brave and auditioned for Rock of Ages that began my time on stage at Cutting Edge Theater instead of in the audience. The people I've met throughout my experiences there have all been wonderful and being a part of Cutting Edge Center of the Arts has truly made me a happier person. I am proud to now be among the board of trustees and to support this theater in as many ways as possible. There is something unique about Cutting Edge Center of the Arts. It truly is the most intimate and innovative theater I've ever been to. I believe everyone should strongly support all of their local community theaters as well as other arts in their community because without art the world would be so dull.

I went to my first concert here last night, and I am hooked. The trailhead is a perfect venue for an outside concert. The stage has a concrete dance area directly in front, and the seating area is a grass area that slopes upward, ensuring everyone can see the show. Outside food and drink weren't allowed, but two local restaurants served food and the venue sold drinks. One of the food vendors (Lago) sold shrimp fajita plates for $5. Beside the fajitas, the plate came with rice and beans. It was great. I cant imagine another place to get food, drink and music for so cheap. The performer last night was Sunpie and the Louisiana Sunspots and they were incredible. I have always enjoyed Sunpie, but in this small of a venue, he really shined. The dance floor was packed with kids, and adults dancing to every song. I thoroughly enjoyed this concert and hope to attend several more in the future. These concerts are perfect for families or couples who want a cheap night out.

The Infinity Science Center in Pearlington, Mississippi, just south of Interstate 10, is a huge…read morescience and space museum filled with hands-on exhibits and incredible artifacts that are must-sees for anyone who loves science and space. The nearby Stennis Space Center is not open to the public. However, the Infinity Science Center is just outside the Stennis Space Center, and it brings NASA history, space flight, earth science and science-related technology to life. This museum offers an abundance of superb exhibits about the history of the Space Program. Exhibits are both indoor and outdoor -- the outdoor area includes the first stage of a Saturn V rocket. The Stennis Space Center is the main facility for NASA rocket testing, so if you are a space flight enthusiast, this is a great place to visit. Real space memorabilia are displayed, including spacesuits, the Apollo 4 capsule, and a lunar module mock-up. The anti-gravity displays are fascinating. Hands-on exhibits are plentiful and educational, including a "create your own hurricane" exhibit. If you need to take a break and sit, movies are shown in their little theatre. The gift shop and cafe are pleasant, and good places to get a drink, snack, or light lunch, and a fun souvenir (I got myself a great NASA ball cap!). Just off Interstate 10, this is a must-see for anyone who has a love of science, math, engineering, or technology -- and wonderful for children interested in STEM. Even if you're just passing by on your way to someplace, this is very much worth stopping for at least an hour of your time.

The place is packed with fascinating artifacts and hands-on exhibits that bring NASA history, Earth science, engineering, and technology to life in the coolest ways. From the moment we walked in, we were surrounded by wonder--interactive displays, real space memorabilia, and so much more. The experienced hosts and staff were fantastic; they genuinely love sharing knowledge and took the time to explore the space with us, answering every question my daughter fired at them. It made the whole experience feel personal and exciting instead of just "look but don't touch." If you're in the area (or even if you're not), this is a must-visit for families, especially if your kids are into STEM. We left inspired, educated, and already planning our next trip. Huge thank you to the wonderful team for making it such a memorable day!

This event has improved a lot. When I went their first year, they had all the trucks/booths…read moreclustered in a single area. The result was chaos: lines overlapping, crowds that were hard to navigate through, and surround-sound noise from generators making it nearly impossible to hear one another. I'm happy to say they've fixed all that. The trucks and booths are spread out now, surrounding the Harbor Center building in a semi-circle. This helps spread out the lines, crowds, and noise. There's a wide variety of food on offer, so there's something for everyone. Prices range from about $7-12 for a meal, which is pretty reasonable. Inside the Harbor Center is live music and craft/goodie booths. It feels slightly disjointed/cut off from the rest of the festival - I didn't even go inside - but I guess there's not much they can do about that. Overall this is a nice Slidell/north shore event. Worth checking out.
