I have submitted an application through this website a handful of times. I have never been contacted with more than a 'we're going with someone else', but I had heard good things so I keep looking for jobs that suit my skills. For context, I'm the producer and sound editor on a fiction podcast, have work with weddings for years prior, and assisted with red carpet events around LA for about 2 years. When I saw a posting for a remote EA position that described little more than checking and organizing a clients email/client requests, I felt more than qualified to apply. After applying Lori responded 'this is VERY old. Thanks' about five minutes after I applied. Her response felt incredibly rude, but also did not reflect the fact the posting was listed as 3 hours old, on both my phone and my laptop before and after I went grocery shopping. When I responded apologizing for somehow misunderstanding that and that it was reading as current, the posting was deleted. I am not saying there is no way the post wasn't old, perhaps their was a 20 min glitch on the server. However, Lori's response was so off putting and frankly unprofessional I no longer trust they are taking the time to monitor what jobs they have available, or the skills of the people applying. read more

Oh no, no, nope.... I messaged Ariana several times and nothing it's like sending a message to a deserted office. Yet she keeps posting jobs on housekeeping.com. why mislead people ?, like why? ....awful. Throughout the years I've been meeting people who know this agency the comments are similar to some here, no one returns calls, and people are being ignored even though they have verifiable references. Some ladies tell me "We are not models, we are not cute, slim, or young, but we know how to do our jobs pretty well", so in a way, I'm also talking on their behalf here. This agency is discriminatory as well as unprofessional and dismissive. I spoke with Lori after I applied for a position that matches my resume exactly. She put my initial email on the backburner for a few days and when I followed up and informed her that I was notified that she read the email, she lied and told me that she responded to me. She also told me that she couldn't help me if I didn't reside in LA. There is just one problem, the job is in NYC - where I reside. You see, she would know that if it was that she actually read my email, looked at my resume that I attached to said email, and acknowledged the job ID in the subject line. Instead, she lied to cover up the fact that she opened my email and ignored it, then dismissed me from the job I applied for before even reading my documents to see if I was qualified. She does not speak to potential hires in a professional way. Lori is quite rude, dismissive and downright discriminatory. If you do not have blonde hair and blue eyes, I wouldn't even bother applying to any of their jobs. This agency is unprofessional and good luck to anyone that they place. I was warned prior to applying to anything on their website as they have a history of this but I decided to give them a chance and go off of my own interaction with them. I can see that my friend was definitely not overreacting and hit the nail right on the read. We all KNOW that feeling when you are being discriminated against & about to get the 'okie doke'. It's always a process when navigating the job hunt with a third party involved (verifications, interviews, etc.) but the Grapevine Agency was responsive, attentive, and straightforward throughout my entire experience. I will say, however, working with them will ask you to be clear on what you want and if you believe you would be the right fit - i.e., are you willing to advocate for yourself? Hate to give negative reviews but after over one year of trying to connect with this agency, Lori in particular I feel obligated. I've worked with Career Group, OfficeTeam, The Help Company and a few other agencies in the past and I must say most have been a pleasant experience. I've been placed at good jobs and know I'm a strong candidate yet for some reason Lori has been giving me the run around when trying to connect with her. I gave it one last go and reached out earlier this year, no answer. I followed up again weeks later and she finally responded saying they didn't have a match at the moment. Nothing else. I looked on the website and saw that they do have roles that match my experience and for at least one of them I'm actually in second round interviews through another recruiter. I was referred to TGA by a friend and to say the least, I am very grateful. Met with Lori and by a week and half I had my first interview with a company that she felt I will pair well with (they are very honest with jobs that they feel you will work out for and those that you won't), and she was right! Through my interview process, Rachel was extremely responsive! Please note, Lori was on vacation and not only would she still respond, but Rachael was very on top of getting back with me very fast.
