This escape room is hidden in the middle of downtown Tampa. I've been to downtown so many times and didn't know this was here. This location is located on the third floor that has an elevator. They have several rooms to choose from and we did the Escape from the Colosseum, which is 2 hours long. This one was pretty cool and very immersive. There's a nice waiting area before you start your experience with nice couches and a foosball table. There's street parking available. I'd definitely go back and try their other rooms. read more

We had a large group celebrate a birthday in one of their rooms. The location is a bit funky in downtown Tampa- you have to go into an office building and take a very slow elevator ride up to the third floor where they're located. They have props to take a group photo with after you finish. read more

Loved this place and the room we were in. Came here for a friends birthday. We were a party of 6. It's kind of hidden in a building. You have to be buzzed in and then take the elevator up. On a 2nd date, we had no reservation but just walked in and wanted to do a room and thought we'd be in with a group of several others who did have a reservation but they didn't show up. We did wait a few extra minutes but because we have all of 1 hour to get to complete Heart Surgery in The Infirmary. So, 2 of us and a Dr in a lab coat to help along. Because it was just 2 of us, it was extremely difficult to get all the clues. I did most of the puzzle solving while my date did most of the scavenger hunting to find the clues. It was good teamwork but not good enough to figure out totally what to do, we needed the help of the others who didn't show up for their reservation :( This was my 2nd time ever doing an escape room, once in Jacksonville with other people I knew (family), this one was difficult and not exactly as well done but still was very good. The clues were just not as professionally done. The best part was when we got to do the surgery in the end...getting the heart into the patient's chest. That was an interesting complexity to finishing the task. I would definitely come back. Hopefully, with a Groupon/discount code. It's pricey per person for an hour. But still lots of fun. Had a great couples double date here!!! We escaped from the mountain top murders room and had a blast doing it! Everyone that works here is super friendly and makes the environment feel so fun! Robby was so helpful! It was a great date activity, but we saw a ton of families here, as well. The rooms are very interactive, challenging and (if you're a germaphobe like me) clean! As far as accessing the business, there is a paid parking lot next door you can use ParkMobile at. You will have to buzz the business to get in and it is located up a flight of stairs or an elevator ride up. We loved it so much we bought discounted tickets to return again! I did the frat bro themed escape room with one other person, and we escaped with less than a minute to spare! I thought the theming in this room was some of the best I have seen and so funny. Even the person over the walkie talkie gave hints in character with the theme. Everything was so creative, and I definitely recommend trying this room. Absolutely amazing! We did the President's Bunker. We used our student discount (super helpful for us college kids). The game master was through video & audio (my favorite way to play). They even told us ahead of time on the website that it would be that way. The clues were a perfect mix of hard & easy. We're a little tired, so we had some extra clues we probably could have figured out. But it was so fun! Even when our game master (I think Ali) gave us clues, she did it in such a way that we still had to think, so we still had the fun of "solving it" And then the host who led us to our room (Leo, I believe) was SO friendly and funny to interact with, super helpful with taking photos for us at the end & made some fun comments that just felt like he was a real guy, not just putting up a nice personality. 10/10 - will be returning with my family! ***P.S. we just found this picture didn't know he took it -- so funny! read more

This experience was so much fun! It was part of a bonding retreat for work, but everyone agreed that we would come back again, and again! Staff is friendly, puzzles are fun. The option to have a private experience or work with others is nice for the times you can't get together enough people on your own. We did the surgical escape room with a a total of 5 people and solved it. You get unlimited hints. We had some technical difficulties but they were resolved and we got back the time lost due to the issue. I would go again if I lived nearby! read more

They MAY have been the #1 escape room in Tampa, but that is past tense. Absolute garbage. They do not upkeep their rooms. I've been to numerous escape rooms (probably around a dozen) throughout my time on the planet and this was by far the worst experience. First and foremost, we got stuck about 15-20 minutes in. Couldn't figure out two puzzles. Ok, no problem. We go to ask for our first clue... and the woman who chimes in to help is not only rude and obnoxious, she's not even on location!!! She says "What do you need help with?" WTF do you think? Are you paying attention?! They use game masters that are remote! Why is this a problem? Because the two puzzles we were stuck on, were literally broken!! If the game master can't come in and check to make sure the puzzles work properly... how can they reset the game with confidence?! Queue the final puzzle... when the literal electronic mechanism is SO BROKEN... that the people had to break the fourth wall... coming into our room and telling us how the final riddle worked... The room was literally broken. Several of the puzzles were literally missing pieces. So. So. Annoyed. Star far away from this place... what a rip off. read more

Did a big group outing in the Dr's room. It was fun. We made a reservation and when we got there the room wasn't ready yet. The escape room concept is fun but i'm still trying to figure out how you turn over a room in 10 minutes for the next set of people. They did provide gloves which was nice but you can't exactly grab all the things and sift through items with those darn things on. Our moderator was good, our hostess kind of fluffed through the game and rules, which was fine coz whatever lol. But again our moderator was good and helped us as there were many moving parts in that particular room. It's fun and great to do for work group outings, as it makes you work together... or scream at each other for about an hour. read more

They are going to have me return to one of their locations, and then I can update on what my second experience is like. I am very appreciative how understanding they were and their desire for positive feedback for growth. Original Review: I've sent a contact message to this business in hopes they will make improvements. I just sent the message, but I'm sure they will respond. I appreciate local escape rooms, but I do believe there should be a standard of customer service that exists. A few positives I would like to share is this escape room location has an excellent waiting room. There is a variety of things people can do while waiting, and it's a pretty spacious area. Also when I called asking for theming questions, the staff member was very friendly. I felt that some of the staff was interacted was nice, but some of them seemed distracted. Yesterday for a bachelorette party we did the Poker bunker room. First off one of the employees immediately spoiled how many rooms total we would enter. Also one of the puzzles was somewhat pre-spoiled because an employee over shared about something about the room. From a puzzle perspective there was honestly nothing all that exciting or unique about this room. However our biggest issue was that we could not finish the room because part of the room malfunctioned. We waved for several minutes, and our game host was not noticing us. It was frustrating because our time was ticking down and it got to a point where I wanted to leave the room to get a staff member. Finally she noticed we were waving and asked us to try to reset the little buttons a few times. It still wasn't working and she said she would send someone in. We asked if she could pause our time, but she said that wasn't an option on the timer. Most escape rooms I've been to, the host only focuses on your game alone. It felt like our host was probably watching other games. Also we always had to specify which puzzle we wanted assistance with. It didn't feel like our game host was a part of the process, but rather just someone we specifically had to explain what we were confused about. An employee eventually came in and apologized but couldn't figure it out either. So he basically just told us what would've happened, and then asked us about the last puzzle--and then said what we would've done and congratulated us. For the amount of money our group of 4 paid, this was extremely upsetting. We weren't offered any kind of discount for this horrible experience. This was for a big day for our friend, and it felt like we picked a terrible outdated escape room location. Also I think it's ridiculous that every single person must have a student ID to get that discount as an entire group. I've never been to an escape room that was so stingy on just allowing one person with an ID pay for the group. I want to start off by saying this was a really cool experience especially if like solving problems and puzzles. We went with 4 of our friends and the other four people in our group were strangers. We went during the soft opening and it was a great price, With convince fees it was $25 per couple. I think that the prices double after the grand opening. We got there about 15 mins early so we could meet our other teammates and sign the release paper. It's not scary for people that think being locked in a room and solving clues to "escape" sounds scary. There is a supervisor in there with you the whole time and if you find the magnifier glasses (there are 3 total) she will give you another hint too. It's a little warm in the room, but probably more so because you are running around trying to find clues, etc. I think that it would be cool if they had drinks afterwards as an option. We did escape! And they take your group photo with cool props at the very end. You can only play each room once. Currently, they just have sherlock's library but have plans to make another room. Overall, it's a good experience to do at least once. read more

We did John Watson's laboratory and thankfully we beat the game and made it put with 2 minutes to spare. My family did this escape as one of our monthly outings. We were a group of 12. Parking was really convenient. It's in an older building so keep your eye out and follow call box and elevator instructions. Oh yes there's an elevator or stairs. We were greeted immediately and given directions to follow. Definitely a fun group activity to do, although my friends had already done easier rooms and I joined them for a harder room, and yeah the infirmary was tricky. To start off, I like the Victorianish furniture in the living room and they have fun little props for the group photo after the room is complete. They seem pretty well-organized. Each escape room has up to 10 people which I get, they have limited rooms and want to maximize profits. I just felt like 10 people all over the place in a small room was somewhat frustrating. I think it would have been more fun if there was a max 5 people instead of people doing their own things and moving clues and not communicating the best. Granted, I get the money needs, but some puzzles felt like too many people crowded around. My group of 3 was paired with a group of 7 and for our room our group was divided into two equal groups. Because of the larger, stupider group didn't understand 2 people needed to pair with us, the employee made us count off every other number to separate, so basically I got separated into another group which seemed like a really dumb, unnecessary move on the employee's part, seeing as I had never done this before and was basically punished because of poor planning or dumbness on the larger groups part. She could have just pointed to two people if we absolutely had to be even, but it was a bad way for me to be confused and with strangers. The larger group also had a tendency to hoard puzzles and not explain what they were doing maybe they didn't want to waste time filling us in, but then they probably took longer than if they had asked for help, and since so many puzzles you have to solve before you can go to the next step, we had to wait for them or try to worm in. Anyway, we solved it in time and I was surprised how stressful and into it I got and how much of a relief it was to succeed. Would I do it again? Maybe on a weekday you'd have better luck with less people and working just with your group. Maybe if I had at least 5 people so we could be the majority. Otherwise it felt like we were at other people's mercy to what we were able to contribute if we could get to something first instead of working as a team. Parking is not great. We luckily got street parking for free, but there are pay lots around. For approximately $30 a person, this is fun once or maybe once in a while, but it's quite a lot of money for an hour long activity. read more

A group of 3 of us walked in and was fortunate to be able to start an escape within 20 minutes, the Nana Hannah Christmas escape, which was really fun. Leo was very helpful and walked us through the process but why did we have to pay for 4? Didn't make sense but oh well. We didn't escape in time but the first few times we requested clues, no one responded so that slowed us down. I'd recommend having more of a continuous clue giver as we complete each clue. Some of the items were not working properly and it was a little too dark. The flashlights probably need a battery change as the lights weren't that bright. This was the second time we've done one of their escape rooms, and both have been lots of fun. The experience combines a super mix of physical scavenger hunt, word play, number puzzles, logic, observational skill, and humor. We had three generations with us, ranging from a 9 year old to an 80 year old, and everyone had fun and was able to contribute. This time we were in the President's Bunker. We missed solving it but just barely (we had gotten to literally the last part, and when our time ran out our host let us see if we could solve it - took us just a few more minutes).
