1 is too high. We actually purchased two identical fifth wheel RVs from this dealership. When we initially reached out to them, we told them it was imperative that we had our camper by this weekend, which they promised. After working through the deal on the phone, we were told to come in today to sign the paperwork do the walk-throughs and come home with our 2/5 wheel campers. That did not turn out so well. We ended up spending six hours at the dealership today finding multiple issues wrong with both new campers and leaving with one that still needs repairs and the other one is still sitting at the dealership. They got our money. Our loan term has started and we have one camper still sitting at the dealership and wanted our property that still needs repairs. It was an absolute debacle, including them, not making change at the service department and trying to rip me off money there and making us sit at their dealership all day long where we couldn't leave or eat anything in the meantime, they sold our trade-in so even if we want to get out of the deal our trade-in is now I believe under contract. We had plans this weekend and had told them we had to have these campers and that did not happen and there seem to be no accountability no resolution and simply no one caring about any of this. I wanted to go there because I wanted to go to a smaller dealership and it was an absolute nightmare, and I would never purchase from them again and as I'm sitting here without my camper tonight, I'm seriously considering backing out of the entire deal. It take me alot to write customer service for a company I've had a bad experience with let alone a google review, but this warrants it. I wrote an email to several folks that work here with the following information and have not heard 1 single word. Not one phone call, not one communication what-so-ever. In addition to the below list, today I was driving my trailer and someone yelled at me that my ball was loose. I pulled over, called my brother, he came and the ball was loose at least 5 turns!!! And I had just come down the poudre canyon. The same guy that did everything in my list, attached the ball and torque'd it to my hitch (I guess he didn't torque it). I'm a woman and maybe that's why they think we are stupid? Don't ever buy here. I have a huge community in my profession and I will tell everyone. The list of things that happened to me, that they did not responds to after spending a ton of money: He did not give me the bag that held all of the owner manuals, so I spend weeks trying to figure out which components I had on my trailer because I could not open my trailer because he left all the power on and fully drained my battery. The battery was so drained that I had a hard time re-charging it. · The power system: He said to be very careful not to let the solar panel overvoltage the battery. Which in turn made me super nervous. In my own research I reached out to Go-Power and talked to them. They said that over voltage was not an issue as they have incorporated that into the design that can't happen. · He left my water heater on. I finally figured out what the noise was when I was able to charge my battery and figure out the solar panel system, it was the hot water heater triggering and trying to ignite. · He ripped off the side panel to the third slide out because he didn't know how to close the camper properly and when he was trying to forcedly slide in the beds he damaged the slide out canvas. Doing You Tube research you need to leave the slideout canvas out, then slide in your beds, then tuck the canvas in. · He nearly damaged all of my cushions for the table and lounge couch because he didn't know where to store the cushions so he shoved them where he could find them so when I was finally able to open the camper they were pinched and bent. Again, you tube showed that the cushions go under the kitchen table. · He didn't drain the water out of the tanks nor show me how to drain the water from all of the locations. · Every single power switch including the inverter was on. We purchased on 7/6/19 our problems began 7/9/19 as we opened our pop up for the first time. We removed the plastic from the mattress to find it saturated the wood beneath warped. We contact Matt. He was apologetic & replaced the mattress. Our problems continued. We called from 3 mountain locations & spoke to service tryting to resolve an electrical issue. We couldn't get through a single day without loosing all power. They suggested we completely disconnect the radio (it would not turn off) and check all the fuses.We did.The issue was not resolved. A week before our appt they called to reschedule. They were moving their dealership. A reschedule that would put us outside our warranty. I contacted Rockwood to cover the work. We store the camper in our garage so it took camping in a thunderstorm to find the leak. We knew it came from the fan. Our steps had fallen off the kitchen did not fold properly, our stove top cover had come off, our door panels had collapsed, and there was that electrical drain.I received a call the next business day stating everything was fixed, but they could not replicate the problem with the door or the electrical. Mollie said the issues with the stove cover and the leak were both due to "incorrect factory install" the fan had been "installed in the locked position". 7/31 it took us nearly 3 hrs and to the everyones frustration we arrived as they were closing to pick up. We showed the technician the problem with the door he said he could repair it yet did not. We were handed an invoice for the leak repair and the electric diagnostic. Matt said he had the #1 electrician in the state found no problem so we had to pay for the diagnostic. Then proceeded to yell at me about about an email I had sent canceling a sales appt for a new RV because his deanship has "opted out" of our state mask mandate. Well let me amend my recommendation. For sales, yes! Definitely recommend! Lisa Hamilton was positively amazing from start to finish. Billy in finance...also amazing. Service....well that's where is starts to go downhill. We bought a brand new unit, picked it up brought it home and realized the entire back wall was melted along with the hood, light, and vent. WHY they would allow this to go home is beyond me. We also noticed NONE of the punch list items were completed. Not even the simple ones. So, Jan 26 we brought it back where it's been since. We received zero communication from the service department and had to constantly follow up. Lisa touched base with us occasionally and was just as frustrated. April 8, we go to pick it up. Richard in service knew we were coming yet we still had to wait an hour. He said they were "filling the water tanks and getting the antifreeze out". Yeah right. Water had not been run through and was still pink. Rizo, our tech who went out to the camper with us actually saved the day because the water heater fittings were not connected so the minute we turned on the water it ran all over the camper floor. Rizo noticed right away and fixed it immediately. He also fixed all of the other punch list items that were missed three times. It's not that hard to take care of people but clearly the service department does not take ownership in their work and likely hopes you just won't notice. Rizo rocks though! You have been warned! Do not do business here. They may have more inventory, and competitive prices but the followup/customer care is terrible. It would be worth the money to spend more on your rig, and get better customer service somewhere else. The guy that did our orientation to our new rig, forgot to lock the vent panels so it blew off on the way home. They replaced it quickly however. The storage door also blew open on the way home and would not stay closed. After a couple weeks of calling trying to get a response from someone in order to get it fixed we finally got squeezed in for an appt. We kept being told the warranty manager would call us back, but we never have heard from him, and still haven't 2 months later. We finally were able to get it back for a quick fix (we hoped) but when we checked it out after the repairs were "done", the door still would not stay closed, because they had not done anything to fix it! The service advisor put the part in a vice, straightened it out, which was all it took, but the service folks couldn't get it done. A couple weeks later I winterized, and wanted to take off the filter housing but could't get it off. The wrench even broke while trying to get it off. multiple calls and e-mails to sales, service, and parts departments just to get some advice went unheeded. I didn't hear from anyone. This is a disorganized, poorly run, poorly managed organization. Spend a little more for your rig in order to get better service down the road. You will be better off in the long run. read more

We purchased a new RV in March. We waited a week to sign documents, we were then told we couldn't bring it home because during the so called walk thru the employee found several items that needed repaired. This turned into another3 to 4 week waiting on 'parts'. In the 3 weeks we've had it in our possession we have taken it to the service department twice to dewinterize and once to learn how to use the hot water heater. We finally took it out this past weekend and learned the water tank leaked. Now, we must wait another week for them to get it in for the repair(which we were first told would take until June 11th to even get it in). Why wasn't all of this caught in the the month they kept it after we purchased it? Why wasn't all of this caught prior to sale? I would not recommend this dealership. Our salesperson has yet to step in and make this right. I wish we had checked out the 10ish dealerships we passed on our way to Great Outdoor. read more

We bought a 42' Cedar Creek from Great Outdoors in June of 2019. BIG MISTAKE. Last year (before covid) I made an appointment on Feb. 28 for May 1 for warranty work to be done. The work started AFTER June 1 and took until August to complete, but it never completed to satisfaction. They were too busy getting new stuff out the door. We continue to have issues. The fireplace went out. The valves to pull out to clean the sewer are extremely difficult to pull out. One chair broke. They replaced with one that did not match. The lift for the spare tire won't stay up. The valances won't stay up. And the granddaddy of them all - whoever installed the bracket to raise the mattress up and down installed a screw point up, not down, and the bottom of the mattress is ruined. Fortunately we bought an extended but it sits instead of getting worked on. In three weeks thr item repaired was the theater chairs which had a power wire malfunction That's our story, and we're not happy campers read more

You have earned a customer for life! Kendra and Scott in their service department are TOP Notch. They fixed a laundry list on my unit. I had the pleasure of working with them after the Factory repairs completed were less than satisfactory. Their entire service dept was very helpful and always there to answer questions. Kendra gave me updates through out the whole process through. She followed up every step with out fail. Scott did a walk through after each repair to assure I was pleased with his work. I was at Great Outdoors on Monday, July 20th. I wore a mask into the retail part of the business. I was looking for a part for my RV antenna and had some service questions. I immediately noticed that no employees that were interacting with customers had masks on. I asked about this and was told, "This is Weld County and we don't need to wear masks." Then I was told, if I were uncomfortable an employee would put on a mask. When a service person came out I told her I was in a high risk group (over 70 years old) and I would like her to put on a mask. She refused and said she didn't have to. At that point I left the business. I find it incredibly disrespectful that this business has no regard for the health of their customers and a blatant disregard for the State mandates. What a great experience. It all started with Chip. he was my initial contact with them. We talked about my interests. He told me what they had that would fit my needs. Not once was I pressured. Even gave me time and space to think about it. Who does that? I do encourage everyone thinking to work with Chip and the Great Outdoors. When I picked up my new camper they were super cool. all the paperwork was ready to go in and out in 5 minutes. then they spent all the time i needed to work through the camper and learn about it. There was no rush again in this process. Our walker did not feel his job was complete until i was comfortable in knowing what I needed about the camper. Amazing. Give it a shot. We took our camper here for warranty work. They had our camper for 5 months but did not complete one warranty item. While our camper was there, it was hit by another customer. It was at the body shop for another 3 months. We had the great outdoors transport our camper to the body shop because we live 4 hours away. They did not properly secure things or probably transport our camper, now our refrigerator and other things in the camper are all dinged up. This is frustrating because they sale this model and should know how to properly prep it for transport. Our camper now looks far worse than it did prior to going here for improvements. This place won't take responsibility for any of the damages they caused and said they finished warranty items that simply weren't done. I would never recommend them for purchasing a camper or an RV and I certainly wouldn't recommend them for maintenance or warranty work. It's a shame because they have a nice new beautiful location and building. Unfortunately, that's all a waste and extremely deceiving because this business is a complete failure and their customer is horrible. Go somewhere else! read more

So, went to the parts department looking for a replacement thumb lock for the door to my exterior storage area. On Amazon, this part costs about $5 plus shipping (so about $8 total). The Great Outdoors RV parts department has the same part for $20. I check with HWY 34 RV and Lazydays and they also carried the same part but for about $10 at each location which is much more reasonable. This was my first visit to TGORV and my last. You are obviously gouging your customers on parts and I can't imagine what your doing in service and RV sales. This certainly explains how you're paying for your new, custom lot your building off hwy 34. Be sure to price check everything and anything you buy from this dealer! read more

I purchased my rv in august of 22 put in storage and made reservations for mid September to make sure it was all good took it home unhooked and the problems started.... The woman who did my delivery didn't know anything and couldn't get anything to work ( I should have known better) but I took delivery anyway. I couldn't get the leveling system to work I called the great outdoors and they were unwilling to help me out no mobile service no answers except call the manufacturer. I called them they had me call lippert the manufacturer of the leveling system and they had me out checking fuses and system checks finally I responded I'm not a tech eventually I got a third party tech out to fix it temporarily. He advised printed circuit board took it back to the dealership they eventually fixed it. Lost my reservations and I had to winterize it myself. Put it back in storage... pulled out in may of 23 unable to access a lot my doors( one key for all) eventually once again I fixed it. Took it out bedroom ac didn't work among other things called to confirm my service appt that I had made in may and I was told that my warranty had expired . Kz Durango had 2 year bumper to hitch warranty called the manufacturer they confirmed I have until August of 24!!!!! I have scheduled an appt elsewhere to get my issues addressed. Moral ..... be careful who you buy from read reviews and research all !!!!!!!! Like my wife says even new cars houses all have issues... it's not the issues it's the lack of service... we will sell you anything but we won't service anything . They say your a VIP at the great outdoors I'd hate to see what I am if I'm not.....sad so sad what happened to honor and loyalty .... remember your only as good as the last thing you do!!!! I have used this place numerous times. Several times after I have dropped my camper off, they are behind and cannot meet the appointment they made. I should have learned my lesson the very first year I used them and this happened. They should contact their customers before they take their camper in for drop off so that if needed other arrangements can be made. When a customer makes an appointment months in advance for work to be done for a camper the company is familiar with and has all the details, it is a reasonable expectation that during the appointment the work is completed. Despite having all the data on the camper, they did not order the parts ahead of time so that the work could be done for the appointment. This year 2019, they are understaffed and 3 weeks behind. They will order the parts after they catch up, making the delay another 4-6 weeks (per staff) before parts arrive, then another week or so for work (up to 9 weeks for the appointment made at the beginning of the year before camping season started). Like I said the first year I used them this happened also, but I was willing to give them a chance since they are conveniently located. I am convinced that they don't fully fix anything so that you have to come back yet another year. I have had problems with the electrical each and every year where the lights don't work or the battery mysteriously goes bad after one season even though it was covered and taken care of. Each year the electrical needs looked at. They tried blaming it on my vehicle, which has no electrical issues and I can tow a boat with it just fine. Last year they recommended I replace the entire wiring harness, so I agreed and let them know I would bring it in at the start of the following year. I called this year to officially make the appointment to change the wiring harness and they acknowledged they were familiar with the issue and that they had recommended that it get replaced. At this point, they should have ordered the part needed. They did not, nor did they contact me before the day I was dropping off the camper to let me know they were behind. This is another tactic so that customers still feel obligated to keep their business with them as other businesses by that time will be booked up. Not only are they ensuring you will have to come back to have more work done by not fully addressing the issue, they are not providing customers any opportunity to get the work done elsewhere when they cannot meet the need. After talking with several friends who own RV's, they have had similar issues where this company keeps their RV all season due to being behind and then not letting the customer know ahead of time the appointment cannot be kept. I am moving my annual business elsewhere. You'd do better to contact Colorado's Premier RV Services (970) 342-6957, who keeps their appointments and sets reasonable expectations. read more

Clint helped us stay on track while also presenting items/options he heard us saying. Clear as day we we're describing our needs but we hadn't put all the pieces together. We purchased a new 2020 Rockwood camper Feb 15, 2020. When we purchased the camper we were told it was top of the line. So far the counter leaf has completely pulled off, kitchen sink drain pipe fell off, all the shades in the living area have pulled away from the wall, the recliners kept breaking their screws loose and when the slide they are on went in or out they caused slits in the flooring, the outdoor stairs were installed wrong and the awning strut was bad and the pantry shelves brackets came loose, the oven wouldn't light. We started taking our camper out in May, 2020 and since that time our camper was in and out of their service at least 8 months or more in 2020. All they did to fix the shades was put the screws in over from the the original holes. When they repaired the kitchen drain pipe they did not re-attach the paneling to their brackets. We took our camper out Memorial weekend (2021) and one of the shades has pulled out and is just hanging and the awning's strut is still broken. While camping Memorial weekend we had issues with our water heater, we were able to find someone in Walden, Co to come and fix it. Emily head of service at that time said she would reimburse us immediately. Since then Emily has left and we weren't reimbursed and they can't find our receipt for the repair. We can't get our camper in until October to get it the awning and shade fixed. When we picked the camper up in May, 2021 from service they said as a courtesy they cleaned the inside, de-winterized and the propane tanks were topped off. The inside wasn't cleaned, we ran out of propane the second day camping and when they de-winterized the camper they didn't turn a valve on the hot water heater which caused issues with the water heater. So far the Service Department has had at least 5 service managers. This camper had a one year warranty which is up but The Great Outdoors has had the camper 8 months of that year. Their service department is unorganized and overwhelmed. My first experience was to get an accessory added. I made the appointment 3 weeks in advance and they were to order the part needed. When I dropped off my RV on the day of the appointment I found that they had forgotten to order the part. It took 3 weeks for the supplier to send the part and then took the service department 10 more days to install it. I called the day after the part was received and they said it would be done in 1-2 days. I called the following Monday and they now said Friday. I called Friday and they said Saturday. I went to pick it up at closing time on Saturday and the technician was still installing the part. My second experience has been over the last week. I found a problem with a sink drain pipe that had come uncouple below the floor but above the pass through compartment. I called first thing on a Monday after the store opened and had to leave a voicemail. By 2 in the afternoon I had not received a call back so I called again. This time a person answered but said they could not find anyone in the service department. She took a message and assured me they would call back quickly. Nothing. I called the next day and had to leave a voicemail again. When I did not hear back from them I stopped by a 1/2 hour before closing. Again, there was nobody in Service to talk to. The parts person took a message and promised that someone would call within the next 1/2 hour or first thing the next morning. Nothing. I live only 3 miles from this place and they are an authorized warranty repair lace for my new trailer but I will now drive the hour down to Denver to find another place. I don't know how their sales group is, but their service department is a failure. read more

We found that while this company cares a lot about sales, they fall way short when it comes to warranty repairs. We definitely can not recommend them even though we purchased our trailer from them! We sent in a short list of items that needed either replacement or repair along with requested photos months before the warranty expired in July,2018. We were then asked for measurements and colors of the J-wrap at the bottom. We sent them what we could. Our needed repairs were neither expensive or extensive. We stopped by the dealership in September when Kevin looked over our trailer and discovered other items that needed to be looked at, including fiberglass J-wrap in the front. He also took measurements. We brought the trailer in for repairs in the first part of October, 2018. When I called Kevin, he explained that the J-wrap they had was neither the right size or color! I also explained that several of the J-wrap supports were missing. Fortunately, I demanded and received a copy of the work order. Around December 15, I called and talked with Kevin. He explained that everything had been done. When I asked about the crack in the rear bumper and the slide replacement for the kitchen drawer, he said those items had not been done. He explained that the rear bumper would have to be welded by a certified welder outside of the shop and that he would not be available until after Christmas. Kevin called me on January 2, 2019 and said that the trailer was ready to be picked up. I told him that it looked like it I would not be able to pick it up until Saturday, Jan. 5. He said it could be hectic then since they would be closing at 1PM and a number of units would be picked up. I called up the service department from Colorado Springs January 4th, while I was driving up to Evans (about 3 hours away from Canon City). I explained that I was on my way and would be there around 2PM. I actually arrived about an hour early. when I went into the service department, they were quite busy. I asked for Keven and they said that he was not there that day. I gave them my name and I let them know that I was there to pick up my trailer. I had my copy of the work order with me and they let me talk with a technician while they were going to get my trailer. I talked with him for about 20 minutes and he explained to me that he could not tell me what work had been done since there was So much paper! He did not think that the bumper had been welded since there was no indication that it was done. About 30 minutes later, the trailer was still not by the service shop since they could not find it and did not know where it was. I then went back inside and Nate told me that the trailer had been dropped off on the dirt side road by the welder, which meant that he had Just finished! I then walked back to the dirt road with Nate and my daughter. We saw a tag on the front of the trailer, a piece of brown duct tape on the cracked front J-wrap and a piece of gray duct tape on the driver side metal J-wrap. I opened the door to the trailer to inspect the inside but I could not move the slide-out to inspect the shower since they had left the trailer batteries completely dead! I walked back to the service department with Nate and my daughter and told them that they could call me when the trailer was ready to be picked up. I cannot emphatically enough caution anyone to buy a camper from this dealer. As stated in other reviews, my camper has been in their shop more than I've had possession of it. There is no communication from them, you must be the one calling them for updates. My camper has been in for the same thing multiple times and it's still not fixed. There was something replaced that never needed replacing and the thing that should have been fixed was not. This last time when we went to pick up the camper Joyce stated there was a flat tire but it had been filled back up and tested to make sure it was good. Ultimately it went flat as soon as we pulled into the campground. I'll admit when I'm wrong, I called Joyce and very, very heatedly complained about the tire situation. I was wrong but this sparked a call from GM, Matt Brown. In the end Matt told me the specific item wouldn't be fixed and the flat tire was our problem. I reminded him it had been on their lot for the past two montha, he stated that we had brought it in that way because they hadn't had a flat tire in over a year. He also told me they are not a tire shop and I needed to call one for the flat. I had to call someone who thankfully cares about customer service and fixed it for us. read more

Please read before you buy from this place. My experience in the beginning was good. My sales person Janessa and one of the assistant managers were great in showing me the used fifth wheels and what would be best for me in price as far as my payment. I decided to have a washer and dryer stackable put into the unit and it was ordered through my sales person a few days after I put the deposit down. I was told it would fit in the spot in my closet where my washer and dryer hookup is. I was promised that it would be installed and ready to go when I came to pick up the fifth wheel. Fast forward to the day of walk through and pickup (three weeks later)! Arrive at 9 am for my scheduled walk through (told it would take 2 hours). I let them know ahead of time that I had to have someone pull the trailer and they would be ready at 11 to pick it up. I walk up to them telling me oh the stackable wouldn't fit so we ordered a combo dryer and it will be here at 12 for us to put it in. I said no I do not want a combo. They said that they could put the stackables next to each other I said okay please do that then. (I 100% should have been called before now to discuss this???) fast forward to 10:40. Oh the dryer is broken we can't put it in. We can get one and put it in tomorrow. I tell them I would rather not and will have it done myself. My boyfriend told them they needed to refund me for the dryer and the cost of labor. The GENERAL MANAGER MATT says I'll be making that decision not you. You're not going to tell me what to do. I am so confused honestly. I as a customer did nothing wrong 1. I should've been called about the whole situation ahead of them and 2. The washer/dryer should've been put in WAY before we came to pick the trailer up. The GM was rude and cocky. I would tell you simply not to go here just because of him, but the rest of the employees were nice. We didn't leave until around 12 and made the guy pulling the trailer late. read more

Be careful of their pricing on their products. Nice people, but they will tell you what you want to hear. I can't say that after our experience that they are out to make sure the customer is educated on the product and happy with their new purchase. No such thing as a return policy for a lemon. We bought the Roo 23 IKSS, back in May of 2014, this was their new 2015 hybrid. We were there 2 FULL 8 hour days looking at all the product, we made certain that they heard what we needed it for. We explained to them that we needed it for All season and at bare minimum for 3 seasons for work 1 to 2 weeks a month and for pleasure. We used the ROO for 5 months, and this product was disappointing. They did NOT explain about the condensation that would occur. My wife and three kids were staying in it this last June and July, for work, and we had some great amount of rain that came to Denver. I remember waking up to our beds being wet from the humidity. Our sleeping bags were wet and the condensation would drip on our faces. It felt as if we were in a vapor canopy. We called the Great Out Doors, they said for us to take some pictures and we also brought it in for them to see. They said they have never heard of this happening. Humm! Interesting how one of their techs in the back admitted to see this happen a couple of times before and nothing could be done. We also had many other issues, the door latch could not shut right and would lock us out of the unit, island for the kitchen became lose, speakers never worked outside, awning would catch on the front door, and the frig would never keep the food cool, or would freeze. Finally, after using the unit for three months and waiting to see if The Great Outdoors would call us back, we decided to trade it in. They hardly called us back, only because I kept calling, we went up to Steamboat on the 1st week of September and we still had an issue with the unit condensating, plus our frig broke on the 4th day of our two week trip. We started losing all of our food. The other frustrating issue was how small the clean tank was, 30 gallon, the black and gray also, for 5 people this is not good. I would of thought that one of the 3 sales men that dealt with us would have stated that this would have been a problem from the beginning. The tanks were to small, good for two hunters but not for two adults, one teen and two warrior boys. This would have been a great selling item for us to know from our sales guy during our hunt for two full days with them, especially when we brought our three older children with us to shop and introduced them. We finally wanted out of this product at the end of four months, they said to us we do not have a return policy, but we would be more than happy to take back our unit and upgrade us to another product, maybe a 5th wheel or longer bummer pull that has a winter package. WHAT, I thought to my self, now you want to tell me about a unit that has a winterized package and larger tanks!!! We went down to see them for another full day, although the huge disappointment is that they said we lost about $9k on our unit in four months. I could not believe it, after spending $26k on it, brand new! Wow! They would barley budge on this. We almost upgraded to a nice bummer pull, toy hauler, but my wife and I were not settled on the price, and felt that they lost our trust after stating that they were there to help, yah, in their best interest. Their new unit that they were suggesting would have been $52k or plus. Not a bad unit but, not as nice as the 5th wheels. So, we went shopping hard for another month from RV place to another. We finally found a great deal. It was used and was a 5th wheel with one of the best winterized packages. 35' long, with very nice options. 2012, so it was already depreciated. We got in to this unit for the price that they were selling theirs. They expect you to drive your unit down every time to fix a broken issue, they needed pictures. I could say for a new unit that should of not broken this often, we spent about 7 trips of drive time to get it there and then at times needed to leave it over night and come back to get it. Frustrating enough, they would not keep good notes and one employee that I talked to about the issues did not keep or write good notes, so when we showed up the other employee did not know why we were there, and they admitted that she does this all of the time. Well-overpriced, organized and uneducated about their products is how I would explain this outfit. What made me the most dishearted was when they said our $3k extended warranty would be transferable to the next unit, but when we got closer to possible buying their unit, they said we lost 2/3 of our warranty. When we told them that we were going with another company to buy a different RV, they did not mention that we could get a full refund. Wow!!!! We decided to go with another company. We are brand new to the whole RV world. I've been to almost every dealer in the Denver metro and up North. I've had great salesmen and no so great ones. Came to the Great Outdoors RV Co. to look at an RV my husband thought I'd like. Met Ryan Specht who was very patient and showed me several trailers that would meet my needs. I spent quite a bit of time looking and Ryan was very patient with my questions. We ended up buying guide a 5th wheel trailer. Picked it up today. There were just a couple of things that needed attention and the service guys, Greg and Tim took care of them immediately. We are very pleased with the entire experience here. I appreciate the fact that this is a locally owned family business. However that does not make up for the unorganized unprofessional way they do business. I do not recommend this place at all. Every part of the process of getting my camper repaired was a disaster. They charged me for work they did not complete. They did end up crediting me for the work they did not complete but had to debate on what the actual charges were. I still do not if I was charged correctly or fairly. They were also going to overcharge me on a few parts. I'm glad I asked questions about the billing discrepancies or I would have paid several hundred dollars too much. It is almost impossible to reach someone on the phone and don't expect them to call you back. I made a mistake by taking my camper here. I do not recommend doing business here. They have also decided that they do not need to take part in the mask mandate. Show your customers that you respect them and care about their health as well as your employees health. read more

This is the worst company I have ever Dealt with in my Entire life. One star is extremely too high for this company Unfortunately that is the lowest score I can give them on this Review. They had my camper for seven months and every time it got delivered it was in worse condition then it ever arrived in. Finally they said they would no longer work on the unit. I have hundreds of photos of the Destructive work they put out. I would never trust this company or do any business with this company. they will lie right to your face and put out the worst quality work you will ever see. Seven months later and they still can't put all the screws back in the walls where they go. All Manufactures should pull the right for this company to sell or work on the units. My family and I stopped by The Great Outdoors RV as we were in the area and are looking to upgrade our current camper. Plus they had great reviews online. My husband, 6 year old and I walked into the building with our masks on. It wasn't long after walking through the doorway that we noticed not ONE employee or patron had a mask on. We were greeted with strange looks as we walked through the store into the main area. At that time my son asked loudly why know one had a mask on like us. Shocked, I really didn't have an explanation for him other than, "I don't know honey. They all must live in a bubble." As an immune compromised individual, I was beyond shocked at the lack of respect and consideration this company has for it's customers and society as a whole, not to mentioned the blatant disregard for Governor Polis' executive order on mask wearing in the state of Colorado . I wear my mask proudly for not only myself but to protect others as well. This establishment will not get our business that's for sure and I will make sure to share our story as well!! read more

I took my brand new Rockwood RV to The Great Outdoors (TGO) for serious sewage smell. They told me to use a better deodorant and flush my black water tank more thoroughly, and they charged me $160. I took their advice, but after my next outing the problem returned. Instead of returning it to TGO, I pulled the toilet (Dometic 300) myself and found about a gallon of raw sewage in the cavity between the bowl and outer housing. I immediately took the toilet to them for warranty service, and first the service manager, Amber West, told me that what I described is impossible. A more seasoned repair tech, however, advised that a defective seal could cause sewage to leak into the housing. The service manager claimed that they had flushed my black water tank three times to remove dried toilet paper and solids, which was preposterous since the unit was only used once and I have plenty of experience flushing RV tanks with no previous issues like this. I called Forest River and learned from John French that this is a "known issue" with Dometic 300, and Dometic is replacing these toilets at no cost. French was surprised that TGO's service department was unaware of the issue. I advised the TGO service manager and General Manager Matt Brown that they had apparently mis-diagnosed the problem from the get-go, and I requested a refund of the $160 shop charge. He refused, but he reminded me that they are the biggest Forest River dealer in Colorado and they know way more about these problems than I do. read more

We decided on the camper we wanted, and looked all over the western US, and even the Midwest, searching for the best price. Texas, Utah, Arizona, and even Iowa-none of them even came close to the responsiveness, helpfulness, and all-around low-key approach we experienced at The Great Outdoors RV Company. I emailed back and forth with Nik Brown for a couple of days, and then my wife and I went up to Evans from Aurora one evening so that she could see the camper in person. Nik was very helpful, non-pushy, and knowledgeable about the camper, and made us feel like he was just showing us how cool it is-it didn't feel like a sales pitch at all. We sat down with Will in finance to talk numbers, and they were able to get us in the camper we wanted, with the options we wanted, for just what we wanted to spend. They didn't try to upsell us on a different camper, or try to get us to buy options we didn't want or need; they respected that we came in having done our research and knowing what we wanted, and then they worked hard to make the deal work for us. We told them that night that we really had no intention of buying right then, but we walked away with papers signed and a deposit made, all because of how they made us feel at home and like they actually cared about earning our business. We came back today to pick up the camper, and it was sitting out waiting for us. Greg and Caesar (I hope I spelled his name right) showed us everything there was to see, and also seemed to be as excited as we were to do it-it sure didn't seem like a drudgery to them! They set up and showed me how to work my weight distribution hitch, as well, and had it all hooked up and ready to go when we were done signing papers, even though it was raining cats and dogs. Isaia helped us with the paperwork, and thoroughly explained all of the typical things that dealers try to sell you-extended warranties, GAP insurance, and the like. We certainly didn't feel pressured to buy any of them, but we did select an extended warranty package that we felt suited our needs. Dustin in parts showed us around the showroom, explaining where everything was and what his recommendations were for first purchases, and then left us alone to make our selections-again, no pressure, just courtesy and helpfulness. We were beyond pleased overall with our experience with all of these guys, and would not hesitate to recommend them to any of our friends or family who might be in the market for an RV. We recently purchased a camper from the Great Outdoors. The staff was very friendly and attentive. They gave us a very thorough walk through of the camper to put us at ease. The owner made sure to stop in and thank us for our business. There was one problem with the trailer hitch and they didn't have the right part at the moment, but they were very kind and apologetic and offered decent solutions to fix the problem.
