I was a member here years ago, and recently my wife joined, hoping it had gotten better. Dear reader, they have not. As someone else noted, READ THE OTHER REVIEWS - this place has no interest in changing. The "hidden" reviews here also seem quite accurate, FWIW. Once you are signed up, getting any information out of the staff is next to impossible - you're literally completely on your own. In both of our experiences, we'd signed up with the goal of using some very specific advertised amenities only to find that "oops, that class is not offered anymore" or "oh, we don't have that equipment". Scheduling is a nightmare, it seems like they are constantly changing class schedules, dropping classes, etc. They don't bother updating the online schedules, so you show up and only then find out that there is no class. If you dare call the front desk to verify, be prepared for some serious attitude from whoever answers the phone. The place is basically totally unsupervised. You'll often find people with multiple kids running around unattended, touching all the equipment, sticking their fingers between stuff on the machines that could chop their fingers off so as a bonus during your workout you get to babysit other people's kids. The front desk will not lift a finger to resolve these situations. The pool is a madhouse. Covid protocols are a total joke. Why an org that talks so much about "social responsibility" on their website and partners with the local hospital doesn't require all visitors to this indoor facility show proof of vaccination is beyond me (I'm typing this as Delta is peaking, and vaccines are free for all FWIW). I've sent similar concerns to their published "info" box but they didn't even bother replying. This business brings in over $10M/year. Here are the top paid people responsible for the state of things there ($100K for marketing and they haven't even bothered to claim this Yelp page - great job folks!): Key Employees and Officers Carol Armour (CEO) $282,769 Cheryl Deighan (Operations Director) $126,615 Kathleen A Kindberg (Executive Director of Child Care) $116,692 Laure Ferrando (Director of Marketing & Development) $107,680 Reading the other reviews, it sure seems like Cheryl is the toxic one at the top and that attitude goes all the way down the line. Of course the buck should stop with Carol, making nearly a quarter million a year while overseeing this absolute mess of a place. Avoid.

For years I have put up with all of the below but it is one of the worst runs gyms I have ever witnessed. I cannot for the life of me understand how Crunch allows this place to exist under their brand name without calling for major changes. Shame on Crunch Corp. and shame on Hyatt Hotels which has its guest use this place as their gym. The gym is constantly dirty. Scary for a place that requires cleanliness. The bathrooms are disgusting. There is a hole in the tile wall near the men's sinks that has sheetrock covering it. Has been like this for years. The sauna and steam shower are constantly broken or out of order. The showers are absolutely disgusting and appear to never actually be cleaned. Toilets smell like they never get cleaned. The lockers are old and dilapidated with many lockers broken or requiring repair. Mind you, nothing in the bathroom/locker rooms have been updated in years...possibly even decades. GYM: Lets start with the fact that the equipment is the same equipment that has been used in this place for decades...and it shows. More importantly, machines are constantly broken and take weeks to get repaired. Padding on machines is cracked or broken. The overall layout is terrible and lacks the proper flow for a gym. So much so that machines are so close together that it is difficult to add weight or so close to walls that it makes using it difficult. Plate racks never have the appropriate weight on them. Its as if no one on staff understands how a gym functions. OVERALL: If you are considering this as a gym, you have been warned. If it wasn't so convenient for me I would have switched years ago. The truly sad part is this could be a premier location. The potential is there and there is enough space to offer a variety of services not just fitness (wellness, recovery, etc.). More importantly, I would happily pay more on a monthly membership if they just simply upgraded the equipment and the locker rooms. But again, this place is being run by slumlords, so you get what you pay for.

There is a good variety of sessions and they change the program often enough to avoid boredom. The sessions are enjoyable and they have helped me in reaching my goals. All of the trainers are experienced and knowledgeable. NBD also offers small group training sessions, personal training sessions and Pilates (these cost extra). The small group sessions are good, and is something I have not seen offered elsewhere. NBD also perform regular fitness assessments. Again this is something I have not seen other places offer. I believe this is a good tool for setting goals and ensuring the continued progress towards your goals. They use a really good booking system. The facilities and staff are both good. It may be a bit pricey compared to other gyms, but I believe it is worth paying for a good service.

Victoria was such a great help with my nutrition. Laura gave me the push I needed to get started. She watched me carefully to ensure proper form and challenged me to go past my perceived limits. I felt so supported. Antonio!!! This trainer had me so motivated that I didn't think twice about being there at 6 am on Monday mornings. The small group training sessions were fun, challenging and informative. I will miss these early morning huddles! In his classes, NBD felt like family. Shoutout to Alex for giving me the official tour, showing me the extra amenities and for being so kind and accommodating.

A good mix of workout, stretch, and relaxation. Caitlin is an excellent instructor. I enjoy instructors that find that happy medium of pushing you a little, but at the same time making you feel comfortable doing what you can.
