Cheap drinks and food, great atmosphere, and an sardine staff. This place is poppin' to say the least. It's always busy but for good reason. They have basic, but decent bar food. I didn't get any food but it looked and smelled good. They seem to specialize in hamburgers. The drinks are really cheap. I had seven imported beers (Heineken) and my tab was $31. Not sure about the cocktails. The best part of this place is the vibe is so fun. It's a great neighborhood bar with an awesome staff. read more

This is a small bar, but it punches above its weight. It has loads of TVs with the Sox, soccer and other things to view. The service was quick and they have loads of craft beers on tap including my favorite IPA, Fiddlehead. read more

I love a dive bar and Biddy Early's was one of my favorites in Boston. There is memorabilia all over the walls and locals all sitting at the bar. I got an IPA which was delicious and had several great conversations with people at the bar. My favorite dive bar in Boston. I love coming here with friends and just having a good time. I've met some cool people and the bartenders are awesome. Every comment about the suits in the bar are accurate haha I tried the food for the first time because I usually get there after 10pm. It was good and perfect for the bar. Definitely would order the mozzarella sticks and wings again before the kitchen closes. It's downtown so parking is almost non existent. I either walk here or take the train. After the Palm restaurant, we wanted to have more beers at a livelier setting . Glad we stumbled into this place. It's a college type of bar with darts , good selection of beers and an overall fun place with top 40 music . Bartenders are friendly and attentive. Music is playing, people are smiling, and you sit back and enjoy your Friday evening beverage, contemplating the night that waits ahead. That was my friday after-work, pre-boat cruise experience at Biddy Early's on a beautiful evening a few falls back. My Husband & I were staying at Intercontinental Boston & wanted to hit off a few local Irish pubs & restaurants. Biddy Early's was only a minute walk from our hotel so we popped in. The door man Tony was cool. Well he warmed up to my Husband & I anyway. It was obvious this bar is probably typically occupied by locals so at first we didn't feel welcome but we're pretty down to earth folks & eventually they caught the positive vibes. Our bartender Jeff was a cool dude. Turns out he's also a stand up comedian as well! Not only funny but a good guy cause he hooked us up with a free beer! I ordered a Carona which was on tap. I've never had it that way but it was really fresh & ice cold! Not watered down at all. The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars rather than 5 is because of the condition of the bathroom. I hate to say it but it was pretty gross. It's unisex so I was surprised they don't tidy it up for us ladies. There was also no toilet paper. Thank goodness I didn't have to poop lol. Overall we ended up having a nice time here. It's your typical dive bar but the cool staff ads charm. read more

Rudest bouncer I have ever encountered. Inexplicably denied entrance of a large group of well dressed middle aged professionals coming from a corporate event because of one allegedly drunk individual (who was not visibly drunk whatsoever). He was clearly "profiling" in the typical Boston inferiority complex way. Biddy lost a tremendous tab and we had a great night at Sissy K's instead. Haters gonna hate. Red Sox still suck. read more

Quick stop before starting my exploring adventure in Boston! Ordered a double Jameson neat w a Coors Light = $17...something, not including tax. This place is a solid dive like bar with a cool atmosphere & great bartenders. When we first got there it was packed with a lot of college aged kids watching the basketball games. Thought about leaving since we were looking for a more bar stool bum kinda place but after talking to the bartender Sean we decided to stay. Crazy coincidence was that his last name & my married last name were almost exactly the same. Only off by one letter which was hilarious (had to be there/ know the last names). We also chatted about closing Wolski's which is a must do for any Milwaukeean or visitor who loves a good ol dive bar. Sean was great with getting drinks to us fast as well as other bar recommendations that were our style. After being there for a bit it cleared out & the bar stool bumming began. Well, I love dive bars, however the beer was warm on our visit which is the reason for the lower ranking. Not sure if it's always that way or not. The atmosphere is perfect, service is at the bar only, and you walk up and order. Aka, no table service. (I don't mind, but just a FYI). So, it's a 4 out of 5. A good dive bar but not much seating area inside, kinda loud too. Theres some dart boards & I dont think they serve food because I saw some other people bring in their own. I was drinking michelob ultras & i think they were around 5$-7& a piece so not really overpriced, bar was crowded so it took a while to get the bartenders attention. Shitters coulda been cleaner but they were serviceable & after all it is a dive bar so it makes sense. I would come back here if I find myself in boston again. read more

I came to Boston for a convention and the first thing we did was to look for an amazing bar that serves amazing food. We stumbled upon Biddy and decided to try it. Your ID is going to be checked at the door, so have that ready. This place is the definition of a dive bar, great to go and chill at. The location isn't bad, it's practically in the heart of the financial district. It's perfect for after those stressful crazy days at work, esp if you are working over time and want a break with your co-workers. There isn't really table service which was expected for it being a small bar. We just got a table on our own and ordered our food and drinks at the bar. The bartender was friendly and told us the best local beer to get. We just stuck with harpoon. The food here was bar standard, so I wasn't expecting much. I got their Biddy burger, medium well...the burger came out well done with an extra burnt "char" taste to it. I was thrown off cause the first bite that extra burnt taste hit me like a truck. I didn't really care much to say anything because I didn't eat anything all day and I was on the airplane all day...so I was way too hungry to care. And again, it was bar food, so I wasn't expecting a gourmet burger. If I'm ever visiting would I ever come back here again? YES! This was the best located bar, super chill and nothing more.
