Bad experience! The associate (Deedee, I think) was supposed to help me find and try on wedding dresses that I like. Instead, she pushed me to try on dresses that I outright told her I didn't like and I didn't want to waste my hour and a half appointment trying them on, while I could be trying on things I actually like. By the time I was finished trying on the dresses SHE wanted me to see on me, I was finally allowed to look around the store with my mom and friend to find dresses I actually liked and wanted to try on. By the time we each found 1 dress that we liked, I asked Deedee if I could try those 3 on. She proceeded to tell me that I did not have enough time to try on all 3. She also was in the room with me while I was changing and offered no privacy. I was a bit offended and uncomfortable by this but unfortunately, I was too nervous to speak up. The least she could do was offer to come in the room, once I had the dress over my naked breasts, like what happens at other bridal shops. Additionally, she talked a lot about unimportant things and wasted a decent amount of my appointment time. On top of that, their website tells you the shop will be closed while you have your appointment. However, that was not the case for me. She had two separate people come in and ask her questions for a few minutes each. She also answered 2 phone calls during my appointment. Otherwise, the store is decorated nicely on the inside and the dress selection was not bad. However, because of this associate and experience, I would not recommend this place to any brides. read more

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! Please please listen to this review because In almost 20 minutes we spent here it almost ruined the whole day!! Told her what the bride wanted and she brought every single dress that didn't match the bill! Kept commenting on how the bride needed to be 'sexy' and 'it's okay to be sexy once in a while' She insisted on being in the room to watch the bride change when she was so evidently uncomfortable. She put her in every color, style and cut that she so clearly communicated she did not want. The women kept making comments about the people she brought with her to the appointment.She called me a 'passer bye' who got invited inside. This women was so insistent the bride buy a 'sexy' dress it started scaring the bride and we left. We scheduled an appointment here and over the phone I explained that we needed very modest, LDS style wedding dresses. I was assured they had tons of modest options and that wouldn't be a problem. There was not a single dress that would've been appropriate. The first one was close, but still needed significant alteration. She even brought out strapless ones and just said the bride could wear a jacket or get them tailored and sleeves and a high back/neck added. I think she was just hoping if she got us in the store she could convince the bride to change what she wanted. It was a waste of an hour and a half. read more

I've passed by this place multiple times when I'm around downtown Littleton and I've always thought it was such a cute little boutique and have always wanted to look at this shop. However, wedding dress shops aren't like any other shop. You can't just walk in, so naturally I set out to find a man so I could visit this shop ( jk!). Anyways, I have to say the owner by far has the most experience out of all the shops I went to. She's been in this business for decades and knows brands and dresses like the back of her hand. She taught me a lot about wedding dresses in general and I really enjoyed my time with her. This shop had the most amount of dresses available for me to try on as a petite human, and the most styles. Also, I have to say she really has an eye for designs and was honest about the dresses that didn't compliment my body very well. This shop provided an amazing overall experience for a bride and I would definitely recommend this place to my friends. The only thing that was a little odd was that she was very territorial about looking at dresses on your own. She did not like having people meandering around the shop and browsing on their own. I did read some of the bad reviews and I could see some of those unfortunate situations happening. I made an appointment a few weeks in advance. Then I came into contact with someone who tested positive for covid. Naturally I waited a few days and then got a covid test. I was supposed to get my results back the day of my appointment and did not. I called about an hour before my appointment and asked if I could reschedule. The woman told me nope, it was safe to come in because all of their staff had the vaccine or had covid. That seemed unlikely. I'm upset that a business is that desperate that they would put other clients at risk as well as their own staff. I will not be giving them my business. read more

The green bride prides itself on its affordable wedding dresses, so I was excited to shop for dresses that wouldn't make me pass out when I looked at the price tag. I ended up really liking a lace long sleeve dress and was even more in love when I saw the price tag said $500! However, when I got home and started doing my research, I found THE EXACT SAME DRESS online at Lulus.com for $86. That's almost a 600% mark up. I contacted The Green Bride to give them a chance to explain the situation. Maybe they had a valid reason for this that I hadn't thought about but I never heard back from them. I am really disappointed that they advertise their business as being affordable when in fact they are exploiting brides on a budget by buying cheap dresses and reselling them at a ridiculous markup and calling it affordable. read more

I was not expecting to enjoy wedding dress shopping, I get easily overwhelmed shopping and I lean more towards anti-bride but Holly made this experience so enjoyable! She quickly made us feel comfortable and started getting to know us and our vibe, right from the start I fell in love with the first dress I tried on! Holly was extremely knowledgeable in the world of wedding dresses and tailor options and she was extremely patient answering my many questions and as she listened to what I liked and didn't like she was like a wizard pulling out dresses from the back for us to experiment with. I love that you get the whole shop to yourself, it really does make you feel relaxed and you can be yourself. The store charges a $50 cancellation fee for all appointments cancelled within a 24-hour window--regardless of when the appointment is made and any surrounding circumstances. After not finding a dress at a different store, I made an appointment for 2 hours later at The Green Bride via their website. In the interim, we stopped at a different store and the bride found her dress. I called The Green Bride and left them a voicemail (no answer) to let them know and ask if we still needed to go to the appointment. I did not get an answer back until after the appointment. I received an email letting me know that the cancellation fee had been charged, so I left another voicemail asking about my options. I finally received a call back 2 hours after my first voicemail. The employee said I should've called them before buying the bride's dream dress (I did, no answer!) because they would've covered the cancellation fee for the other boutique (there wasn't one). They would not cancel the fee and told me that I should ask the other boutique to cover it. I absolutely cannot recommend this store. I understand charging fees to prevent sudden cancellations and spam appointments; however, human flexibility is also needed, especially when the fee is $50! read more

Did not care for this shop. The biggest issue for me was the customer service. I felt hovered over. Felt like this shopping experience was not at all about me. Felt like it was all about the sales rep and how her control freak process works. But you know it's not one size fits all when it comes to bride's expectations. We want what we want. And that includes how we shop. On the one hand she didn't pressure me to buy anything. Which is good. But on the other hand she really discouraged me from experimenting with trying on different sizes or styles...unless it was her own suggested look. Most stores will help you with the idea and vision to make it unique to you. Not here. Prices and selection are fine. The place is a bit small. Too small for any kind of social gathering unless you cap it at 4 people max. At first I thought this was some eco-vegan friendly boutique. Nope. Just a name. If I could give this zero stars, I would. Our experience in this shop was uncomfortable to say the least. Not only did the woman make many comments about my sister's body as she tried on each dress, but the dresses she picked out were the complete opposite of what we described. The woman also joined my sister in the fitting room without permission (she was too nervous to say anything), which made the experience even more uncomfortable. The vibe was super weird. This woman gave off some of the wackest energy I have experienced in a loooong time. Even after saying we needed to leave to make it to another appointment, the woman was pulling more dresses for my sister to try on. The shop was cute and the dresses weren't bad, but sadly we were so uncomfortable that we literally thought we were on a hidden camera show and the whole thing was a prank. The woman who helped us was making comments that we did not know how to even react to because they were so out of pocket. At one point, she was taking pictures of my sister with her ipad (without permission) and forcing her to pose in certain ways. My sister was horrified by the dresses this woman picked out, however, she was too anxiety-ridden to make any negative comments on the dresses that were chosen for her (even the blue dress with tassels). I emailed to get an appraisal on a wedding gown that was never worn. It was a nightmare and if how they treat potential resale clients is how they treat clients who want to purchase dresses, steer clear. It took almost a month of going back and forth with emails... I sent them the brand, the photos on Google Drive, a link to the dress on Poshmark, a copy of the original receipt, the bride's height, measurements, etc. Their response times and ability to be professional were exceedingly disappointing. AFTER all of the exchanges, I got a cold, impersonal, one-sentence email saying 'sorry, we're not taking any dresses at this time. WHAT, why didn't they say that from the beginning!? At that point, I said ok, I understand that you're not taking any more dresses, but what about an appraisal? RESPONSE (from Deb) was again, 'we're not taking any more dresses but you can follow the simple tips we sent you to sell the dress on your own. It was Sunday and I was in the area to look for dresses. I had finished at one store and thought I'd see if The Green Bride would welcome any walk-ins (appointment only on Sundays). The lady said yes, do I hurried over. Upon entering I was greeted by a teenager, who answered the phone when I called. She asked me what type of dress interested me, so I listed the criteria on material, neckline, and fit. She asked whether I'd considered mermaid or if I knew what that was. Huh? Strange question and slightly insulting. Yes, and no, that goes against what I described. She tells me how the store is laid out (by fit) and tells me to have at it. I browse the racks alone. No one pulls options that would have matched my description. The store had limited options, literally 8 racks of white options and a rack of ivory, nude, and the like colors and a scattering of short options. Aside from allowing me to walk in, the selection was limited and service was dismal. read more

It wasn't the service per se; the owner was the only one there and assisted us; she was pleasant enough. It wasn't the historic building the shop is in. It was the ONE BIG THING that I had inquired about BEFORE we came in over the telephone: "do you have dresses that are like x, y, z?" The answer was "yes, we have lots", or words to that effect. So the bride (having to take the bus & light rail took her over 1.5 hours) and myself (driving took about 45 min.) met up there. The bride told her her simple requirements and....dress #1: covered in lace from top to part way into the skirt (we said NO LACE). The bride is extremely polite and went on to try dress #2: covered in lace. On dress #3 of the same ilk I spoke up, "I think we want solid satin all the way". Dresses #4 & 5 & 6 did have a satin-like skirt - still all lace on top. After we again enquired about dresses with NO lace she finally said, well I do have a few but none are in your size". I don't know if it was her intention, but we both felt it was a bait & switch. Since she had actually very few lace-free dresses (at least one that she showed us at the end that would have been perfect had it been in the bride's size!), she should have asked me on the phone, "what size is the bride" and saved us both a long and time-consuming trip. Or once we were in the shop, after a dress or two, she should have spoken up and said "sorry, I don't have anything", which might have allowed us time to go elsewhere. WE should have been more firm too and said, "it doesn't look like you have anything like we're looking for" and thanked her and left. (But, as I mentioned, the bride is extremely polite.) read more

Came here to help my friend pick out her wedding dress. We felt welcomed and were offered mimosas or waters which was a nice touch! The store is small but I think they maximize their space well. My friend didn't find a dress but the owner was helpful in suggesting my friend follow the Green Bride Facebook page to see incoming dresses. I can see what other reviewers are talking about with some of the dresses being more worn than others.. but it is a consignment/used dress store. IMO the message is to have reasonable expectations when shopping in this type of bridal salon. Overall, the prices were great and I would recommend checking it out. read more

I struggle to write this review because I did end up buying my dress here. It's beautiful, high-quality, well-fitting and within my very small budget! However, the customer service experience was a little weird. First off, there's a big sign on the door that warns "NO WATER!" That set an unfriendly tone for me, my Maid of Honor and my mom. We also arrived a few minutes early, which seemed to annoy the staff. The store has a lot of dresses in a lot of styles, but the space itself is pretty cramped, so I had to dodge other brides while searching for dresses. I also got the feeling that we were being rushed through the process to make room for more brides. The pros: -Variety of dresses for low price--great for a bride on a budget like me! -Green Bride donates a portion of your purchase to Dalit Freedom Network, which helps women who are victims of sex trafficking. I loved that they support causes like this. The cons: -My first impression of the space was not very welcoming. The no water rule seemed pretty ridiculous and unfriendly. - I also would have liked to have an assigned area for my maid of honor and mom to sit-- they ended up staking out a spot on their own. There did not seem to be many chairs. I would not recommend this store if it's your first time shopping for a dress. I was successful in finding my dress because I already knew exactly what I was looking for and had gone to another shop to try on other styles. Green Bride has lots of great dresses, but the cramped space and clock-watching staff made me feel like I was in everyone's way, not a guest. If the store could move to a larger location, everyone might have more breathing room-- and a glass of water, too! read more

Since I live in Littleton, I was very excited to make an appointment. I saw some yelp reviews that were good, so decided to give it a shot... My experience here was terrible. I have a pretty good idea of what kind of dress I want, but the older lady that helped me didn't listen to what I wanted at all. She actually told me that I didn't know what I wanted and that trying on different styles was a waste of her time. WHAT?! As a bride about to drop some serious cash, I think I should be the one to tell you what I want to try on!!!! I was so extremely discouraged after leaving this place that I started crying - she made me feel as if I would NEVER find anything I liked. WTH!! Very inappropriate and unprofessional. On a side note, the prices were steep based on the fact that the second hand dresses seemed pretty dirty with beads falling off. They were also all a size 10, so if you are any smaller, plan on sending some $$$ on alterations... I'm taking my business somewhere that makes me feel comfortable and can help guide my experience. Wish I could give 0 stars. The Green Bride Is horrible. The people here do not care about their customers and only care about making money. They recommended a seamstress that completely ruined my wedding dress to the point that it was unwearable a month before my wedding. Not only was there emotional suffering (sounds kind of ridiculous, but come on ladies we all know what it's like to find "the dress" a whole year before your wedding -- well imagine it getting completely ruined with only a few weeks to spare) but the financial stress was horrible!!! The Green Bride has refused to refund my money despite that THEY recommended a person who completely destroyed a $1600 wedding dress. I also then spent another $1200 (between a new dress off the rack and also on getting it altered in 72 hours before leaving for Oregon) this place and these people suck. They do not care about their customers and only care about making money. Do NOT go here. There reason for denying the refund is that I let too much time pass between the incident and requesting a refund. Why did I let too much time pass? Because my husband is military and we've had to move a million times -- then my father and grandma both have passed away in the last 6 months and I have had to work my butt off to try to settle the estate. I'd been to multiple dress shops and was having such a hard time finding anything that suited my style. I'd actually kind of given up and just bought an every day dress, plus after reading a few negative reviews for this shop I was especially skeptical, but I'm SO glad I kept my appointment! It's a cute quiet little shop with a huge selection of styles, prices, and a good mix of off the rack, samples, consignment dresses and more. I also felt they had a good selection of "non-traditional" dresses since I wanted something light and lacey with a boho vibe. Holly initially asked me a few questions about my wedding and my vision for it and I felt like she was the only one who really listened to that and had what I was looking for. Literally every dress she brought in the dressing room hit the mark, including "the one"! It even fit like a glove and was perfectly priced. I bought my wedding dress here last week!!!! Like - it is in my closet right now!!!!! It is so eff-ing awesome. It is the perfect blend between vintage feeling and sexy modern. It has a glamorous Grecian floatiness and crazy bling...like swarovski crystals bling. It is easy to be in and is super sexy awesome. So let me back it up a bit. I made an appointment at the Green Bride in Denver. It is primarily on online retailer, but I found out (from yelp) they were based in Denver, so they have a brick and mortar boutique there. The owner, DeeDee, has deals with designers to get samples and she does consignment - sometimes unworn. Like a bride buys a beach wedding dress and ends up in a ballroom and needs to sell the first one. So in the store, it was just me and the lovely DeeDee and 60 unique dresses in my size (8-10 wedding size) - huge variety. She was so into my vision and actually got the funky/glamor thing. Most other shops that I went to would say "we can do funky" and then they'd tie a purple sash around a plain white dress. Not so with this shop and this dress. DeeDee would say "It looks beautiful on you, but it just doesn't have enough of the style we are looking for." Next. I had a feeling that my dress was "it" right away - even on the rack. I put on my dress with the veil and welled up - just like in the cheesy movies - I would not lie to you. I had no idea that I would ever do that. Look at me! I am so damn girlie!!!! And DeeDee got teary as well because she was so happy for me. So I just bought it straight from my checking account and brought it home. The best thing??? Tacky TMI money alert: It is a $6K couture dress....I got it for...wait for it...under $1K. No shit. AND DeeDee gives part of her proceeds from every dress to a Sex Trafficking Rescue organization in India. I mean - seriously - how much more perfect could this be??? A couture dress for cheap from an awesome entrepreneurial lady who give to one of my social interests. And if she had told me this dress with $3K, I would have bought it anyway. That's how much I love it!!!! In this wacky wedding process, I am trying not to fight things when they are easy. If is seems easy, it is easy. So I am the lucky one that gets to be a MOH at my friend's wedding! I am super excited, but super naive with the whole dressing shopping experience. But I have been trying to get prepared with lots of Say Yes to the Dress show watching...my terminology has improved drastically! That being said, this was my first stop of finding the perfect dress for my friend. It's a different kind of experience with them having you pick out 5 dresses for the bride-to-be to try on. Can you say overwhelming?! But my friend did find one that she might be really interested in purchasing. That be said, what I though was weird was the DeeDee the owner came out telling us that my friend was really interested in purchasing the dress, but wanted to take some time to think about it. So she was going to put $50 down to reserve the dress for 24 hours and not allow anyone else to purchase it. This was told to us while my friend was in the dressing room. But when my friend came out she told us that she never said that?! What happened to the part where they said they wouldn't pressure us into buying a dress?! On a side note, like others said the quality of dresses weren't up to par for the price points. There were a lot of stains and snags, and missing beading on a lot of their dresses. read more

There's no sign on the door or voicemail explaining what is happening. Okay, I would give 4.5/5 instead but since there can't be half stars... After going to David's Bridal for wedding dress shopping and HATING it? I was dreading my 2nd adventure into dress shopping. But, The Green Bride made it wonderful! The dress selection is quite diverse and requires a little digging but there are truly some amazing gems of wedding dresses in that store. Not everything is pre-worn, a lot of the stuff is bought directly from designers and brand-new. Almost every dress I looked at was in the $800 range which was beautiful to see after David's Bridals $1000+ price tags. It is a small store that is not made for walk-ins in my opinion. Make an appointment so you don't bug all the brides who bothered to make an appointment. The older lady who helped me was amazing! She encouraged me to try on dresses that I might not have and I wound up finding mine because of that. Some other comments say that she just likes to hear herself talk but I think that she is a wedding dress genius. Seriously, listen to her and open your mind and try on what she offers you. After I tried on two dresses I picked out and hated them? She handed me one she picked out and that was the dress. I bought it on the spot and it is hanging in my closet now. They even gave me champagne when I bought the dress. My only complaint was the other younger, blonde waaaayyy skinny sales lady. Although I didn't have her, she didn't seem particularly friendly and wasn't particularly nice to us when we showed up. So, make sure to make an appointment with the older amazing-ly nice woman (who I think might own/run the store). I was looking forward to visiting Green Bride because I like the idea of re-using a wedding dress and also they say they donate to charity. But I honestly wonder if they make any profit! I set an appointment with Dee Dee and arrived with my maid of honor. We listened to her instructions and began pulling dresses slightly larger than my size and under the price I wanted to pay. Every dress that my friend pulled Dee returned to the rack without explanation. Excuse me, lady, I brought this friend because I like her style and trust her opinion! We were puzzled. Then my friend sat in the front of the shop while Dee dressed me. Holly sat with her in awkward silence. She offered no coffee/tea/water, no chit chat, not even "Hello, how are you?" I was surprised they didn't offer beverages. There is a bold sign on the door that says, "No Drinks! Including Water!" Dee Dee really wanted me to buy the first dress I tried on. She insisted it was the best one for me, and it looked good but it wasn't my style at all. She helped me try on 3-4 dresses that she picked out before she lost interest in helping me. So I grabbed a couple more dresses that I actually liked and had my friend help me try them on. I did find one I liked but it was dirty and some of the lace applique was falling off. Why in the world would you put a dirty torn dress on display? Can't you send it for cleaning? Can't you mend it? The attitude of the mother and daughter who run this shop is dismaying. What was suppose to be a fun time trying on dresses ended up being a disappointment. You had some lovely dresses on consignment there. Sadly they are not well displayed. And after the horrible customer service I didn't want to drop my $1k there. I don't know how they get away with such bad attitudes. Came here back in early January of this year. The woman who helped us (I believe she's the daughter of the owner) was friendly and easy going. I wanted a laid back wedding dress experience. I didn't want someone to dote and wait on me hand and foot. She picked up on this and gave me the exact kind of service I wanted. She only gave advice or opinions when I asked, or when it felt natural. She didn't tell me every dress I put on was exquisite...or especially more beautiful as the price went up. I made an appointment about a week in advance and when I came in she told me I could feel free to look around. And then after a little bit she said let's sit, so we did on their adorable little Victorian style couch and chairs. She asked me a little bit about my preference in dresses, and then pulled maybe 7 dresses. I went into the dressing room with my sister in law and the nice lady helping me. There was a full length mirror and chair for my sister in law to sit in. The lady helped me into the dresses and the ones I especially liked we went out to the little platform with a big maybe three sided mirror. She helped situate the dress and pull back the bodice with a clip. When it came time to make a decision she left us alone to talk, which is what I wanted. After going to another bridal shop and trying on dresses that we're closer to 600$ and not nearly as cute I rushed back the same day and bought my dress of my dreams. They gave my partner and I each a complementary glass of champagne. the dress was 300. There is a place to tip and I was so overjoyed with my purchase that I tipped like 15%, which I wished I'd thought a little bit more about before doing. All and all it was great service so they probably deserved it. TLDR: friendly, laid back, efficient, cheap, and local service for 300$ dress was dream experience! read more

Beware! Scam! I tried on a few dresses at The Green Bride and decided to put one on hold while I grabbed some lunch to think it over. When I got to the front Wendy told me it would be a $50 charge to hold the dress for 24 hours and if I changed my mind I could use the $50 to purchase accessories in the store. When I decided against the dress DeeDee told me the deposit was non-refundable and could not be used in the store. Now they refuse to refund me my money or allow me to use the money in the store as promised. They have also refused to return my phone calls. Do yourself a shop elsewhere! read more
