He doesn't say much... but when he does, it's usually something like, "Let's take in the shoulder a touch," and suddenly you look like you've been Photoshopped in real life. I'm convinced he can see your true form through the Force and tailor accordingly. What really stands out is his commitment to getting it right for every body type. We designed a custom three-piece suit as well as a custom shirt and could not have been happier with the end results! Avery made sure that every aspect of the clothing was exactly what we wanted and that every measurement was taken correctly. Everything fit perfectly in the end and I really saw the value of custom clothing. You get full control over how your suit looks and everything fits so well and makes you feel really comfortable and confident (also no need to stress about a rental not fitting quite right). Shysty, shysty, shysty. I was asked to be a bridesmaid in an out of state wedding. While weddings aren't my thing it is my brother and sister in law to be so I agreed. My brother's fiancee wanted the bridesmaids to wear Alfred Angelo dresses and looked up local retailers and found that Amanda's carried this designer. So I went on March 28 for two reasons, 1) because I had the day off work and 2) because Alfred Angelo was running a promotion that offered %15 off a bridesmaid dress if ordered before April 3. So, I go into the store early afternoon. Since its a Monday, obviously its not that busy. As in I and 3-4 other people were the only customers in the store Despite this, I had to seek out a sales associate to ask where the Alfred Angelo dresses were located. A sales associate waved with her hand in the direction of dresses and that was the extent of the help offered. To be fair, that was kind of OK with me, as I don't care for hovering salespeople. I selected my dress, and was measured. The size dress that was ordered was 1-2 sizes bigger than what I normally wear but I didn't' think much of it because I know about vanity sizing and such. No big deal. Paid for the dress and left. Dress comes in and I go to pick it up on a Saturday. I understand that Saturdays are busy in most retail establishments, however having to wait upwards of 5 minutes to even be acknowledged by staff is unacceptable. After I was finally helped the sales associate asked if I would like to try the dress on. I said that I'd better at which time I was informed that there was a waiting list for the dressing room. Um, no thanks, I'll try it on at home. Get home with the dress and the length needs to be taken up. No problem, I'm not that tall, this was to be expected. But then, I get to the rest of the dress. Way too big everywhere. Like a good size too big. Even in the bust. I've NEVER had ANYTHING be too big in the bust. I called to request an appointment to alter the dress and was given an appointment on Tuesday. Tuesday rolls around and I realize that its going to be kind of a squeeze to make it to the appointment after work so I call to reschedule. I'm told that there is a $10 rescheduling fee. What? I was mos def not told this when I made the appointment, so obviously I didn't reschedule. So, this leads me to the shysty part. My niece's dress was also too big when she got it. This leads me to believe that they are purposely sizing people incorrectly to make additional money from alterations. There are three plaques on display on the front counter to let customers know that they won an A List Award from Channel 7 for 2008, 2009 and 2010. How is anyone's guess. If I'm ever involved in a wedding in any capacity again I will not do business with Amanda's . read more

A five star rating doesn't give justice to the first-class, supreme, service I received from Tobie with Amanda's Bridal! Initially, going into dress shopping, I was a bit intimidated and disappointed as my experience at a previous bridal shop I visited was a disaster. I felt discouraged and didn't think I would be able to find the perfect dress to fit my 5 foot 2 inch hour glass, busty, figure. The moment I arrived at Amanda's Bridal, I was greeted by the beautiful, Miss Tobie. I shared my concerns and intimidation with her. Without hesitation she insisted we would find something stunning that would complement my shape and began showing me around the bridal boutique. As we walked through the shop and pulled several dressed, she explained what would be flattering for my body type and why, but more importantly, she listened to exactly what I was looking for. She immediately made me feel extremely comfortable, confident, beautiful and calm. With much anticipation I put the first dress on. As Tobie laced me up, I took a deep breath and crossed my fingers. She escorted me out of the dressing room, up onto a platform and turned me toward several surrounding full length mirrors. I was speechless... It was "The Dress"! It was breathtaking! I looked like a gorgeous, classy, future bride!!! It was such a beautiful, emotional moment for me and my 7 woman entourage. I ended up trying on several other dresses just to be sure I was making the right decision. To my surprise, I LOVED them all; however, there was absolutely no comparison to how I felt in my heart with the first one! It was truly an unforgettable, unparalleled experience. Tobie was lovely in every way and was incredibly insightful. She made me feel as though we had been best friends for years and genuinely cared about my experience and me as a person. My mom and I found Amanda's on accident. I had previously had a horrible experience at David's Bridal in Aurora and wasn't really looking forward to trying on any other wedding gowns. We walked in without an appointment and we're told to look around and a consultant will be with you soon. It was a Saturday and they were busy. The wait was not too long. Heather was my consultant and a God send! I had picked out 3 dresses that I thought were beautiful and were what I thought would look good on me. I couldn't have been more wrong. They were awful! Heather told me to hold on and left the dressing room. She returned with a dress that I had originally said was boring. It was an a-line, Alfred Angelo. I tried it on and it was THE dress. Heather knew exactly what would fit my body type and truly made me feel like I was the most important person in the world when she was helping me. She stayed very much within my budget and seemed so happy for me. Every time I have gone back to Amanda's for bridesmaids dresses or my fitting, Heather has come over and given me a big hug. As far as bridesmaids dresses, holy moly what a selection! I found a dress online that I loved but really wanted to see how it looked on someone other than the itty bitty model online. My mom asked one of the young ladies working if she would "model" for us. She said she had never been asked that before but gladly put on the dress for us. It was stunning! 13 suits, one bridal shop, zero disasters I thought long and hard about going with a big chain for our suits, mostly because my groomsmen were scattered across the entire country and a chain felt like the "safe" logistical choice. I am so glad I did not. Amanda's Bridal beat the chain at its own game and added something no chain ever could. Here is the scale of what they pulled off. We needed 13 suits. About 6 of the guys live in Denver and went in for measurements, and the rest mailed theirs in from all over the country. We rented for all the groomsmen and bought mine (the groom). Then, because weddings love chaos, we had a few last-minute size changes, and Amanda's Bridal handled every one of them without breaking a sweat. My mother-in-law also got her dress here, so they truly covered us head to toe. But the suits were honestly the easy part to praise. What set them apart was the genuine care. They remembered names, faces, and little details about our wedding, and every single time we came in they greeted us with a real smile. It felt like working with people who were actually invested in our day, not running a transaction. Special shoutout to Toby, who kept all 13 suits and all of my scattered groomsmen on track and somehow made it look easy. Toby, you are a logistics wizard and a delight. First, I read all the good reviews on Yelp under Amanda's Bridal and decided to stop by for my second round of wedding dress hunting . . . the first was 5 years ago but my soon-to-be-x-fiance ruined those plans. Coming back to wrire my review I stumbled on this set of reviews which are quite contrary to my excellent experience. After 3 wonderful visits, I purchased a beautiful Maggie with the tie-up back corset that is so flattering and saves me alteration costs. I'll still need a hem as I am only 5'5". I talked to a sweet seamstress that I will no doubt use when my dress comes in. As others noted, the dressing rooms are to die for..HUGE and I was helped in and out of every gown (not like some places). I had a $999 budget ( I promised I wouldn't pay over $1,000 for a gown LOL) I came in under budget even with my veil included. I had it narrowed down 3 beautiful gowns and it was sure tough to decide because they were all so different . . . each with a special feature that I loved. I have been telling everyone that Amanda's bridal is the only place to go ...seriously...price, selection and i loved the friendly service that Jan (an older lady) always gave me. First let me start by saying that as soon as I walked in I felt so calm, it's like I knew I would find THE ONE. Heather was my consultant and after introduced herself to me and we got to looking at dresses right away. Between Heather, my Nana and I we found about 7 dresses for me to try on. We found so many that we all liked that it was hard to narrow down our choices! Since I came into town from AZ to go dress shopping with my Nana, Heather took pictures of me in each dress. She was so patient and let me send the pictures to the important people in my life. After deciding on my top two, I tried them on with a veil, took a picture in each dress then used a collage app on my phone to put the pictures side by side. Instantly we knew which one was "THE one!" I can't get over how great of an experience I had and how I felt 0 pressure to purchase! Also, Since I am from out of town, they will ship the dress to me as soon as it comes in. Thank you Heather for such a memorable experience! You're the best! read more

Both of the times I went were great experiences, with bridesmaid dresses and wedding gowns. Amanda's had a better selection of shades of colors for bridesmaid dresses, and more gorgeous bridal gowns than I've seen anywhere else! I very much enjoyed my experience at Amanda's. Wonderful experience from start go finish! My best friend and I are getting married three weeks apart so we made an appointment try on dresses together. Cassidy and Tobie were our assistants and they were both so sweet, genuine and professional. The dress that I said YES to wasn't on my inspiration board but Cassidy picked it for me based on my comments while I was there trying on other dresses. Unfortunately, my excitement was short-lived after having to deal with the tailor, Natalya, who completely ruined my $3,000 dress. I was introduced to Natalya through the bridal shop and was told that she did amazing work, which unfortunately was not true in my case. I informed Natalya that my wedding was three weeks away, and she repeatedly said--rather rudely--that it would be a lot of work and that she would need to charge me an additional $1,000 if I wanted it completed in time. I agreed and paid the extra amount, appreciative that she was willing to fit me in with such short notice. However, when I arrived to pick up my dress two days before my wedding, Natalya told me she had been sick and was unable to hem the dress. I was shocked and frustrated--why not tell me sooner so I could find another tailor? When I asked for a refund, she then said she would finish it and promised it would be ready the day before my wedding. Because I live two hours away, I had to make two unnecessary trips. To make matters worse, she removed the original pads from the dress and loosely stitched them back in place, which made the bodice look unflattering and made me appear heavier than I am. I am extremely disappointed and heartbroken that I couldn't fully enjoy my wedding day because my dress was not what it should have been. I even had to pay my photographer extra to edit the flaws out of my pictures and eventually ended up buying another dress and redoing my photoshoot, which caused even more unnecessary stress and expense. I'm sharing this experience so other brides can avoid the same disappointment. If you need alterations, please do your research and read reviews carefully--it can save you from a lot of stress and heartbreak on one of the most important days of your life.

Even though the dress was beautiful, I wanted to make sure I found something I absolutely loved, especially for the price. I will also say their pricing is fairly reasonable for a bridal shop. Long post. Worth the read. Biggest disappointment was the unexpected fees I was charged when my…read moreitem was ready to pick up. Pick Up: I was notified via text that my garment arrived within the arrival month originally estimated at the time of purchase. In the same message, I was also notified that I was now required to pay and additional "tariff fee". I replied that there was no mention of this potential fee at the time of purchase and that there was no clause in the contract that an additional fee may apply or be added later. I received an indirect response from the owner informing me the fee was fair because they are covering some of the tariff cost and that I can pay my original amount due, but they will not release the garment to until ALL fees are paid, including this new "tariff fee". The owner referred to the contract line, "All accounts must be paid in full before garments may be removed from the store." Like I said, no mention in the contract or notification in the 6 months that passed since I placed my order that the store can/would add additional fees. I called the fee a hidden fee, but the owner stated it was government imposed. In my opinion if you do not inform your client that you are charging them until the client is receiving the item, it is an undisclosed fee. The contract does say that the item must be picked up in 4 weeks; so, I did pay the dues to pick up my garment not knowing if the shop would hold rights to my item if not picked up in 4 weeks. Note: From my research other shops have provided written notice of tariff fees to the client prior to the item being available for pick up or it is listed in the contract that potential import fees may occur. Appointment: I was referred to this shop through a designer's website. I was looking for a specific dress, and the site said this shop had it. When I made my appointment request, I specifically mentioned the dress I was looking for. The shop had to reschedule my appointment but offered a 10% inconvenience discount which was honored at checkout. However, the stylist was not ready for me when I arrived. I didn't mind. The stylist had not read my appointment notes. The dress was not available at the store- it wasn't at any of their other locations. They gave me the option to order it from the designer to try it on if I paid the cost of shipping. I declined but decided to try on dresses since I was there already. The stylist had no regard for my budget. I ended up finding a skirt I liked, and the stylist went to draw up the contract. I was by myself in the front of the store and a drunk man walked in and started checking himself out in the mirror. In the wedding dress I was wearing, I picked up my things and walked to the back of the store. The man followed. The stylist asked if she could help him. He looked me up and down and then asked the stylist for a hug. She hugged him. After a couple seconds I pulled the stylist away from him and told him needed to leave. Fortunately, he did. I do not fault the shop for this incident but after that I felt uncomfortable and wanted to leave myself and felt like I was pressured into completing the purchase. The shop informed me that they have a policy now that the front door is to be locked while they are seeing a client.

We made an appointment and had the place to ourselves. I had some styles selected and she brought a couple and suggested some. My friends picked some as well. The store is brightly lit with natural sun light and also indoor lights. You stand on a pedestal to put on the gowns and twirl in front of mirrors. Kamaria was great and she helped me in and out of gowns. She was friendly and attentive. The gowns are pricey but the quality is good. Fancy details and glitter woven throughout. It was a fantastic experience and I have recommended her to another friend who is getting married too. Parking is challenging as it's on the street.
