This place is very good value! The place itself is warm and inviting with awesome service. There are lots of seating options and comfy booths. We went for brunch and #1, coffee is really really good. Plus it was unlimited refills for 2.00! Like what? The food options are plenty but the prices are crazy good. I got a hearty salad, veggies, potatoes and a pork chop with sauce for 10.00! The sauce was different. I didn't get to ask what was in it, it was thick like a gravy but tasted like a wine reduction. Really delicious. We also started with the nacho with the asada and it was so good. Everyone on the table loved it, although it was rich. My son got the salmon, my mom got the lemon caper fish. The fish dishes were perfection. My dad got the steak and really enjoyed it. I think one thing that stood out is their sauces were homemade. I could tell they take a lot of pride in the recipes, preparation and cleanliness. I do think they are undercharging a bit, but I'm not from here. Food is great when you dine in, do not order their hot plates to go. They use absolutely the cheapest styrofoam containers that melt and releases chemicals onto the food. Styrofoam should not be used on hot foods, they should at least put aluminum foil between the plastic and the food. read more

Stumbled upon this place as I was on a business trip and needed to grab a quick bite before my first morning meeting. As always, checked yelp for the highest rated breakfast spot in the area and this was it. Happy to say, it was well deserved! Their food was very good (and you can tell/taste it was made with true quality ingredients), but the thing that stood out the most to me, was their service. They were so friendly and clearly take pride in the way they treat their customers. The place was busy and full, but that did not stop a handful of employees (server, busier, managers?) from making their way to our table to make sure everything was great and tended to. Brunch today after church, so so good. We had tried to go after church before; got seated quickly but noticed no one was eating and we were super hungry, so we left. After church drive by's revealed same busy place. Spoke to a co worker who confirmed the Grill was worth the wait. Absolutely no wait today. My boyfriend and I came to dine in and it was a wonderful experience. Upon entering, we were greeted by one of the owners and took a seat where we pleased. Service was great, they attended us promptly and happily. We started off with a tortilla soup and a caesar salad which were both very delicious. For our meals we got the shrimp scampi and pasta primavera. Personally I enjoyed both, more so the pasta primavera one, which is now my absolutely favorite pasta I have tried. Ultimately both were very delicious and I highly recommend if you like creamy pasta. The lava cake was amazing. I was a bit sad that it didn't come with ice cream but the whip cream really made up for it, as it has a thicker consistency and didn't taste as if it were store bought, and paired nicely with the cake. As for the cake, all I can say is wow. It was light and airy yet rich with flavor. The strawberries really sat well with the cake and were fresh. I came in kind of skeptical and left very satisfied. Online, the portions seemed a bit small and was worried it may have not been enough but the portion was great! The owners were there as well and was nice to see them taking part of really running the place and gave a nice atmosphere! The prices were very good as well and honestly I wouldn't be too mad if they raised it a little more! The reviews don't lie. Restaurant was super clean and staff very attentive. Upon arrival we were greeted and sat right away. One of the owners is constantly walking around and asking if you need any assistance. This restaurant has an upscale feel to it without the upscale price. Coffee was very good I just wish the cups were bigger. I ordered the Mexican omelet which had chorizo jalapeños and cheese let's just say the combination is perfect. My husband had the chicken avocado, good flavor recommend asking for the mashed potatoes. The only bad thing was that the chicken was a bit on the tough side but nothing too bad. Had the chicken fried chicken. It was phenomenal, has never been here will be back ASAP. The food is amazing he a bite of my wife's' burger and it was like my moms homemade burgers growing up. The in-laws wanted to grab some grub post a 5K (which we walked the entirety of, because darn right we did!). And The Griffin Grill happened to be open and conveniently located. My in-law called beforehand and confirmed that the grill had vegan options - which is still sort of a rarity in Mission. Upon first impression, this certainly seems like the type of place with a bunch of "regulars." The owner knew several of the people dining there by name and was super warm and friendly! Our server, was also pretty darn awesome as our large group might have been a tad high- maintenance with all our food and drink orders. As luck would have it, she was vegan herself! A quick conversation with the owner determined that the house made black bean burger was vegan, along with a side of fries. The server confirmed that she enjoyed it and assured that I would also find it quite tasty. So it seems like in no time, our food arrived. The black bean burger was maybe a tad mushy, but that can happen when you're not relying on egg as a binding agent. It was massive and quite delicious and I suspect the perfectly crispy fries were hand cut as they all seemed to be varying thickness and size. I was able to reserve half of my burger for later, which I always appreciate as I live for leftovers! By the looks of it, everyone else seemed to really enjoy their selections as well and service remained top notch. We consumed an ungodly amount of coffee and our coffee mugs were never left empty for more than a couple of minutes. All in all, do recommend! read more

So we tried this restaurant because we love fish and on google it had great reviews on the salmon dish. To our disappointment it was okay but the rice it came with was mushy and bland, the veggies were very over cooked. I ordered the lemon garlic white fish plate also very bland and mushy. My daughter ordered shrimp scampi and she couldn't bring herself to eat it! It was a very lemony soup and not an exaggeration. Sad to say it was a waste of money and a bad experience. This delicious eatery is hidden in a Medical Plaza in Mission, Tx and they offer a marvelous Brunch Menu as well as a Lunch Menu. There were four of us in our party and everyone chose a different dish. The Banana Pancakes won hands down, yet everything was very good. The only reason I am knocking down a star is because the service was AWFUL! Our server would completely forget about us, I had to get up and ask for water from another server, my mother in law did not get silverware until after getting her food, etc. It is very clean in the dining room, but the restrooms were not tended to and the place was packed for the whole time we were there. We also felt rushed as we received our check and we were not finished with our meals! I hope to visit again, but it will not be soon. read more
