Eat here! Visiting from out of town and found this little gem. Seat yourself and await the kindest service. Had the most delicious Reuben sandwich, hubby enjoyed his burger and the boy loved the tenders. We all devoured the fried pickles. Luziana Ice Tea is so good! There is so much history in this place like old pictures from 1865 of Newberry College.

Overall the atmosphere here made the place. This is a small town setting and this was a small town restaurant. The people were very friendly and the place had a very historic feel. The staff was accommodating and welcoming. However, the meals could have used some work. I had the chicken fingers, my wife the salmon special and my son had the chicken parmigiana. Of all the meals, my son's looked the best and seemed to be the best value. My wife's meal came with white rice and her comment was she would have preferred something more like a long grain rice. She did find the salmon well prepared. My meal I would say could have used the most work. The chicken fingers seemed liked frozen ones you might get off the kiddie menu. The fries were nothing special. I was hoping for fresh made chicken fingers with some hand cut fries. If I were to return I would get the chicken parmigiana.

Nice little place to stop in for a bite to eat, they actually close between lunch and dinner- and we didn't realize until AFTER we had ordered, (sorry staff!). The food was good, the tomato basil chicken wrap is delicious, I wish it was just a tad larger, it was so good i'd have loved a bit more. The serving sizes are smaller than many places, but it was just lunch. The offer several bottled beers and wine choices, no hard stuff.

Absolute dogsh!t this is a $10 Ruben with one single slice of corned beef. Horrible place to dine, horrible just horrible

This is the best place in town for a club sandwich. We usually get it to go and don't have any problems. Always fresh and tasty!

Wife and I stopped in for lunch on a whim and were not disappointed. Great friendly service. Patty melt was perfect.

I got the taco salad this trip and was disappointed. No taste at all. Had to drown it in salsa.

When I pulled into the…read moreparking lot I did laugh that it was not glamorous- it looked like a location for a sports bar! Instead, you found a family friendly, casual atmosphere with phenomenal food. The cut their own beef, they pick the best ingredients. The owner was working tonight and just running a tight ship. You can always tell when a business is a team, when the employees are happy. And that natural trickle down feeds the consumer. So, I was dining solo and sat at the bar. I had a lovely chat with a man next to me. Jen was my server/bartender and on top of everything! Lovely young woman for sure. And Jeff took the time to talk to us about how they are different. I really appreciated that his restaurant is approachable. I'm not even sure if that's the right word- it is fine dining food, without the financial or social glam required at other establishments. I mean- family friendly is literal. He has built a business to cater to everyone, anyone. Food- I was so impressed by everything. I ordered the filet and my sides were mac-n-cheese and mushrooms. OH MYYYYYY- Steak cooked medium rare and perfect juicy, flavorful. The mushrooms simply stunned me- I had to ask why there was a sweet taste... teriyaki sauce! I knew I tasted something sweet- it made them so extra and I already love mushrooms. The mac- it looked dry on top, it was just the baked cheese layer, under was the perfect gooey, creamy cheese your soul craves. OH- and btw, the sides were huge! I felt like I could have shared with several people. Wow wow. So much food. Reasonable prices. I had a Filet dinner, 2 amazing sides and a cocktail- $50. For that caliber of food, that is very reasonable. Tomorrow is prime rib night and I sooooooooo want to go back again! Thank you for a fabulous night- I was celebrating and your business made my day even better!

We thought it was a 'pour your own candle' type place/experience, but really it's a bistro restaurant that also sells amazing candles (in addition to other cute items.) We were starving, and looking forward to lunch, which was one of the most incredible meals I've ever had. Everything is made fresh to order and 'from scratch' and not only does the flavor reflect this, but every sibgle detail and aspect of the meal. We couldnt decide what to order so decided to just share everything. We started with the half baguette with olive tapenade and herbed butter. It cane out warm and the tapenade was obviously homemade...it was at this point we knew we were in for a treat! Next up was the lemony caesar salad with lobster salad added and the watermelon feta special salad. I literally licked the plate with both. The caesar dressing was SPECTACULAR, a secret recipe and perfect. The watermelon salad hit the spot on an excruciatingly hot day. Following that we got shrimp bruschetta and the marinated crab cake special over gazpacho and artichoke hearts. The bruschetta was delicious, but that crab cake was five star. With no room at all for dessert, we took in the charming decor, purchased a few items and made a note to come back asap. One note...the prices run about $20 per plate and the portions are fair, but modest be prepared to spend about $50-60 per person with a glass of wine and tip, but it is worth EVERY penny.
