When i told the they just called me Friday to confirm no portion of $1326, she said the dentist realized that morning r that it was coded incorrectly and so i owed over $3000 instead. Didn't call me when they found their "mistake ". Didn't apologize, didn't try to meet me part way since it was their error....i wouldn't have had my tooth pulled had i known that was the price. I have been going to Nelson for as long as I can remember, over 10 years (pretty sure over 15…read moreyears). in 2024 my company switched dental providers to an out of network provider. Nelson was not able to tell me in advance if they could work with my new provider but I wanted to keep them as my families dentist. My new provider left a gap in my coverage for my preventative care despite the fact that they paid more then my in network provider for the same 100% covered preventative care. As a long term patient I requested them to work with me on the gap. This is when everything changed. Nelson's billing department insisted that this was a co-pay (it is not) and threatened to send me to collections if I did not cover the gap. I was treated extremely rudely by the billing department as well as harsh email communication from Matt Nelson and hate that I am leaving this company feeling like I was bullied after such a long relationship.
