They don't love bath time at the self-serve dog wash stations, but don't seem to mind the nail clippings. I, on the other hand, appreciate the convenience of the elevated dog wash stations with the portable dryer. If preferred there is also a separate room available to dry your dog. With multiple stations and employees, we have always been able to walk in for a dog wash and nail trim. On busier days we have been added to a waitlist. The list moved quickly so it really only took and extra 5-10 min. We used that time to peruse the shelves, which we wanted to do anyway. Most of the items and services are reasonably priced for a specialty dog shop. Only thing I don't like is price difference between the nail trim and grinds. They seem to take roughly equal effort and time and other places charge the same price for either service. The website needs updating since I believe nail trims cost $15 and the nail grind is $25. The website lists $10. If I'm remembering correctly. The employees are all enthusiastic and helpful. They go out of their way to ensure you are assisted and offer to recommend products as needed to match your dog's preference. They will even assist with fitting your dog with a harness. We have visited numerous times for toys, treats, supplies, baths, and nail care. I appreciate their rewards program that offers complimentary treats and services. I recommend this dog shop to others and look forward to returning!

They love on him so good - so much so that they are all part of our family. We made the tough choice today to say goodbye to our old man - 22 years old! When I called to make an appointment I was told that there was no availability for about a month. About a week prior to my appointment an employee called and said they had a cancellation so I was able to get my dog's haircut sooner. A day or two before my originally scheduled appointment I received a text notification reminder in reference to my initial appointment. I left a message stating I had already came and did not get anymore notifications about that appointment. The business is small and located downtown Knightdale. There is street parking in front of the business. Two chairs were located near the front counter and front door to sit and do paperwork. There are several pictures of dogs on the wall and there is a room located behind the front counter where the animals are groomed. When I arrived I checked in and had to fill out paperwork for my dog. I was also asked if it was ok to give my dog a treat. I was advised that for the appointment it would take 4 hours. When I dropped my dog off Johnell advised me that it would be longer. I was called approximately 4.5 hours after I dropped my dog off. Johnell asked me what type of cut I wanted and did a good job grooming my dog. When I went to pay I was charged extra because I was told that my dog moved a lot during the appointment.

We had a very disappointing experience with this groomer after previously having two great…read moreappointments. I don't recommend this groomer and would be very cautious trusting them with your dog's grooming. Before the appointment, I was asked if I wanted a summer cut for my Golden Retriever and I declined. I explained that I wanted a standard Golden trim like her previous grooms, with very little taken off overall and extra trimming around her sanitary area and behind. Instead, she was clipped all over, leaving less than one inch of hair around her entire body. On top of that, several areas were uneven and choppy. This was in no way what I asked for. My dog is healthy, well-maintained, and not matted, so there was no reason for her coat to be taken this short, especially after I specifically declined a shorter cut. I reached out to them and provided photos from her previous two grooms with this company, including one from the same groomer, showing a very clear difference in length. Initially, I was told the groomer confirmed he completed the same style as her previous groom, which is exactly what I requested. However, after I sent comparison photos showing this groom was clearly much shorter, I was then told the groomer used the documented clipper length from her previous visits. I'm not sure how that could be reflected in her notes when her previous grooms were visibly much longer, and I've never requested that she be clipped all over. Regardless of what was documented, the instructions I provided at the appointment should have been followed. The customer service afterward was just as disappointing. The responses felt like I was talking to a chatbot instead of a business genuinely trying to understand and resolve the issue, which is also reflected in their responses to other reviews. The focus was on defending the groom rather than acknowledging that the service provided did not match what was requested. After paying $180 for the groom plus a $36 tip, the only resolution offered was a $25 credit toward a future appointment. I also noticed another recent review mentioning that grooming instructions were not followed and that the final cut did not match what was requested. After my own experience, I understand the frustration. For anyone looking for a mobile groomer, I highly recommend Woofie's of NW Raleigh instead. They charged $135 for the same service, followed my instructions perfectly on the first visit, and provided a detailed pet journal with photos and notes from the appointment. I would recommend them over this groomer based on both the quality of the service and the much better customer experience.
