So this was my first grooming session for my Pomeranian since my other groomer retired. Kristin is a licensed and registered veterinary technician which makes me feel good. She seems very knowledgeable about Pomeranians which a lot of places are not. I was very well satisfied and will be making my second appointment today and bringing my other dog who is also a Pomeranian there next week! I really like the fact that she lets you stay while she's grooming and not only that you can actually see your dog the whole time. I never liked when places took them in the back out of view. Extremely rude. I stopped in to find out about prices for my dog, I don't know if it was the owner or an employee, but she basically couldn't be bothered. She seemed extremely flustered, I felt I was annoying her. I never did get prices - she was too busy- told me to come back another time. If you are looking for a groomer that really loves her job, KrisTina at the Groom Room Spa is for you. It is obvious how much she loves animals and takes pride in her work. KrisTina took the time to learn about my bichon's personality and the style I wanted. My dog looked and smelled wonderful! We have had some not so perfect experiences in the past. (Choppy cuts and inconsistent pricing and little nicks without being told) Some of the workers seemed to be untrained in the field and who looked annoyed to have to be at work. I've been going to the Groom Room for several years and never experienced any rudeness or unprofessional behavior. I think if someone wants to complain about the services at the Groom Room, they should be more compassionate about what they say. People are too quick to judge. Is anyone perfect? We all have bad days. Kristina does a wonderful job. She always checks first if you want a shorter cut for your dogs and if there were any issues with the shampoo. I am so fortunate to have found KrisTina of The Groom Room Pet Spa by accident on Facebook one day. My Pomeranian Milo gets car sick & The Groom Room was so close to my home we decided to give it a try. Best decision ever!! KrisTina does one dog at a time so Milo doesn't freak out like he would with several other dogs around. Instead of being there barking for 5 hours straight he is usually there for no more than an hour & a half. He comes out so soft and always smells so good. I swear he knows how good he looks because he prances around the neighborhood like he owns it. I brought two Yorkshire rescues to KrisTina. She was so gentle and kind to these seniors, they enjoy being pampered!

I pick up my dog from Kristina's care and she casually tells me my dog had a siezure as she was excessively barking upon blow drying. I was shocked for so many reasons. 1. My dog has never had a siezure in my care. 2. Why was I not notified and my dog was put in a crate while Kristina continued to next dog? I am confident that my dog did not have a siezure so Kristina should be careful with diagnosing. The most frightening concern though is what really happened that my dog was barking? I guess I will never know, but I do know I will NEVER go back to Kristina as she truly does not care about the well being of your pet! read more

I have been taking my two dogs to The Groom Room Pet Spa for almost a year now and I am SO pleased with the service! KrisTina is very professional and talented when it comes to cuts. I specifically request a unique cut for my one dog and she was more than happy to give me exactly what I was looking for. My dogs receive one-on-one care and she always takes her time with them. I think the best part is when I see how the dogs are upon picking them up - they are always happy and relaxed, which they have never been with any other groomer. I wish I read other reviews before going to the Groom Room. Kristin is unreliable, rude, and unprofessional. I've been taking my dogs here for over a year hoping that things would improve, but they only got worse. There are so many examples- She said my check was declined (from a previous appointment), never called or notified me until I asked why it was never cashed. There was not even a possibility of it being declined. She then made excuses like maybe there was something wrong with he bank. I just think she forgot to cash or deposit it, so I switched to cash only since I didn't want checks getting lost or being held for long periods of time. She cancels and reschedules appointments constantly with weird excuses every time. She told us she "lost" her notes on how she's been grooming our dogs for over a year and it's like she's never seen them before. She changes her style every time and we always have to ask her to fix their cuts. The past couple times she has taken forever to groom the dogs and each time there is always an excuse, and she blames the dogs! It's unreal! If you've been working with dogs for as long as she says she has, then you think she would know how to keep them calm etc. This last appointment was the last straw. I actually didn't even leave my dog with her b/c she made me feel so uncomfortable. I will NOT be going back. I don't know what the issue is here, but I'm surprised she is still in business with how she operates. The responses to her bad reviews are laughable. Like I said, I wish I would have read reviews earlier. Take responsibility for your flaws instead of blaming your customers and their dogs. I am not comfortable leaving my dogs with her anymore as I really don't know what is happening when I am not there. I have had friends try her as well because her location is convenient, and they were surprised I was taking my dogs here as their experiences were so bad. If you love your dog do not take them here. I am never one to post bad reviews but others need to know not to use this groomer. read more

I had a problem with the way Kris Tina treated me as a customer. I told her over the phone that my dog is a lab mix. When I got there I informed her that she was a St. Bernard, lab, boarder collie, pit bull mix. Upon her visual inspection she gave me a price of $80. 2 hours later I got a call from her yelling at me saying she couldn't do it for that price. I remained calm and said ok what would be fair. She said $108. Without blinking an eye I said ok. When I got her call saying I could come get my dog I said I was on my way. That was when she informed me that I had to bring cash. She could have told me that upfront but failed to do so. When I arrived she laid into me like I kicked her dog, something I would never do to any dog. Yelling at me that I misrepresented my dog! How could I when I told her in person what she was while quoting me a price upon her inspection? After I tipped her an extra $22 dollars bringing the price up to $130 she continued to berate me. Just lately I wrote her a review based on my experience. That was when she responded with threats of a law suit and then threatening to have the police raid my house for having pictures of marijuana which I grew legally for a living while I resided in Colorado. Then she went so far as to lie and say she calmly tried to work this out with me which is false. She and her fb friends attacked me with threats of police raids. All I'm trying to say is her customer service is awful and she is not a nice person. After all is said and done I can't recommend her. read more

I was very pleased with what KrisTina was able to do with our Alaskan Malamute mix even though she came in highly matted and badly in need of a good grooming. She came home soft and beautiful! I was up front with her about the condition of Siff's coat and the fact my dog isn't the best around other dogs when on leash. KrisTina was great with her, had her without other dogs, was upfront with me about the cost and possible extra fee based on what I was describing, and Siff was even smiling when I came to pick her up (which is most important)! One of the main reasons I selected Kris Tina was that she was a licensed, registered veterinary technician and also a groomer with 16 years of experience. Wow -- this was like getting "2 for the price of one." In other words, as my 2 Bichons are being groomed, Kris Tina would also become aware of any issues that might require further evaluation by a vet. I found Kris Tina to be pleasant and knowledgeable. She was also very meticulous and attentive to our 2 Bichons in her care. The facilities were very clean and her prices for grooming are competitive with other groomers. I was extremely pleased with her services and will be returning for further grooming services.
