Keeps getting better. Shares are available as are usda cuts. The farm store has everything you need for your protein needs. Local, pasture raised and grass fed. Mike who helped me today was exceptional. Enjoy the drive and stop in this must see store in wine country.

It is hard to capture the expanse of their farm in a single photo.

The couple running this farm had contacted me to make them a custom copper range hood back on 10/10/16. My Wife was very excited about this, as she had heard of them and wanted to barter for some of their top notch grass fed beef and other produce she had heard such good things about. Their farm fresh eggs are also quite noticeably better, compared to any store bought eggs. They even have more yellow color. We have also enjoyed their kombucha and mead. I later installed aluminum gutters in part exchange. You can see photos on my Facebook business profiles. They are a great source for truly organic produce and meat if you are willing to drive out to their cute farm out in Yamhill Oregon. They also run a B&B in the back section of their house. A great way to tour the wine country out that way and get farm to table fresh food. This super nice couple are great conversationalists and have a passion for high quality produce. We hope to maintain a long relationship with them. DMR Gutters Contractor.

I was glad I got there early so getting around was far easier. The drive up is a bit long, steep and gravel. I did not use it but a member later showed me the commode trailer as I was taking a snap shot since I laughed at the 'luxury toilet' label. They are air conditioned and definitely quite a step up from a blue box situation. For the event I was able to try 2 types of pinot noir, their sparkling and their chardonnay. Delicious and I was in shock to adore their chardonnay because that is not a wine I enjoy often. The food was also lovely. I was a bit surprised as to how many children were present as even the popcorn seemed not something children would enjoy. The grounds are also very adult with gorgeous views but with lots of gravel around, the kids were running through the tents since there was no where else to be.

What stood out to me about MonksGate, compared to the other wineries and vineyards we visited, was the wonderful view we had during our wine tasting. We were outside, perched atop a mound, underneath trees, with a picnic table, umbrella, Adirondack chairs, and a side/end table, looking out onto seemingly endless vineyards. The weather was perfect and the atmosphere was calm and serene. We also pretty much had the whole place to ourselves except for one couple with a dog. Speaking of which, MonksGate is dog-friendly. As soon as we parked and got out of the car, we were greeted by the MonksGate owner's dog, Fizzy. Fizzy is a well-behaved and well-groomed Airedale Terrier. Fizzy and the other customers' small dog, Jimmy, hung out with us during our tasting. It added to our experience. This is a family-owned-and-operated vineyard. Along with Fizzy, we were greeted by Rebecca Moore, second-generation vineyard owner. In 1998, Rebecca's parents, Ron and Linda Moore, founded the 50-acre farmland where MonksGate sits today. The vineyard itself is 20 acres. It was named "MonksGate" because monks from the nearby Trappist Abbey (Our Lady of Guadalupe) walked across the land as a form of meditation. The Moores installed an access gate to allow the monks to continue their walks. Rebecca conducted the tasting. She had an assistant with her. They were both very friendly and welcoming. Below is a list of what we had with prices per bottle at the time of our visit. * 2023 North Block Dry Rose ($28) * 2019 Classic Pinot Noir ($42) * 2021 Classic Pinot Noir ($42) * 2023 Dry Riesling ($29) * 2023 "Fizzy" Sparkling Dry Riesling ($39) There was a tasting menu with helpful tasting notes. Also, Rebecca did a great job explaining each wine as she served them. I'm not a wine connoisseur so all I can tell you is I thought all five wines tasted fantastic. I'd be happy with any one of them at dinner or a social gathering, etc. My favorite was the 2019 pinot noir. How the notes described that one: "2019 was a cooler, more 'traditional' vintage, with rain during harvest keeping flavor phenolics bright and notes on the nose floral and spicy. The palate of this wine is rife with ripe raspberries, the finish long and balanced." By the time you read this, they'll probably be sold out. We had a Saturday 3pm reservation for a group of eight. The total cost of the tasting was $252.20, which worked out to $31.53 per person. We left the vineyard shortly before 4:30pm, so we stayed just under 1.5 hours. When we left, Rebecca and her assistant started to close up shop -- we were the last customers for the day. I will say, for as nice a property as this is, I thought it was a little weird how the restroom - at least the one we used - was an outdoor porta-potty. I've done a lot of wine tastings over the years and this was the first vineyard/winery to have a porta-potty as the restroom. Not a big deal for us, but just thought I'd point it out.

I was planning a bday getaway for my wife's 40th birthday with her close friends from over 20years flying in to celebrate and started my house search early, in October, because of her December birthday. Lifestyle offered me a tour of two properties because they were sure they had what I needed. The owner Meghan, took me on the tour and really sold their newest property, Dundee landing. It had several unique features such as a pizza oven, it came with robes for every person, it had eco logs on site for use, tons of space, it was perfect. Then begin the barrage of problems, all of which were poor management of Lifestyle properties. I broke my payment into two parts. I was told on the phone and on the invoice the second payment would happen on the 15th. On the 9th, I get an email saying they are charging my card tomorrow ( 5 days early!) okay I wasn't planning for that but I can make it work. So I transfer money yada yada and then no charge on my card. A week later, on the 17th, I email asking if there's a problem, NO RESPONSE. Then I wait a few more days and call, the owner, Meghan is super busy but wants to speak with me. I'm about to call again when she finally calls me to tell me the house isn't available due to a permit issue. An issue I directly asked about prior to booking that she assured me wouldn't be a problem. Now it's a problem and it's the week of Thanksgiving and I have to pick a new house and replan an entire party that I already had booked vendors, etc for. Super frustrating because now I'm deep in it with a work project and really don't have the time to do this again. Also alarm bells are going off because I had just confirmed that two differently abled people who had service animals for medical conditions would be joining us. There's no way to be sure but I do know, the permit didn't come through for the house after we shared the accommodations needed for the differently able individuals. She offered me a few homes to choose from none of which are an exact fit. And several things that were included such as the robes and the eco logs are now up charges at all these other properties. I needed an early check in for which they charge a half day rate. I had booked it with the first house and they said the charge didn't post, (which there isn't a line item on the invoice but when I tried to book it online that was the correct total with paying for early check in) . if I wanted it for the new house I would have to pay it despite the fact on the phone, Meghan had told me the new house would be $700 cheaper. She said there's good news and bad news alluding to the fact that I would be saving money to have the exact same reservation but then she wanted to charge me more money. I had booked someone to make pizzas in the fancy pizza oven. None of the other homes had this feature and my deposit was non refundable. I shared this with Megan and she said she would see what she could do to try to get me some money back. I asked her to waive the early check in fee for the huge inconvenience she's caused me by over promising and under delivering. She assured me that she would work on this and get back to me after my stay but that she needed to charge me for early checkin to be able to pay the host and make sure the home was ready. Now after i emailed and called to find out what was going on I get an email saying there were two chairs damaged (none that we used were broken plus they charge an upfront damage fee so why this would even be a factor is beyond me) and that we didn't use the correct incense and they needed extra cleaning, which was shocking because we followed every request that they had, used a non oil incense and left the house immaculate. I've tried to call Megan twice with no response. The team while very friendly is running a shady operation where you speak with one person, they tell you one answer, then the next day someone else tells you something completely different, with different pricing or different availability. Having read other reviews of these kinds of baits and switches, I see this is a long-standing business practice. I also questioned if sure if they were treating us differently because we had differently abled people who had service animals for medical conditions, if it was because I am a woman of color, and or they had a problem with us being a queer couple. There's no way to be sure but I do know, the permit didn't come through for the house and all sorts of miscommunication started after we shared the accommodations needed for the differently able individuals.
