Disappointed with the workmanship and customer service I had my master shower cleaned and regrouted by this company, and initially, everything looked perfect. Unfortunately, about three weeks later, we noticed mildew and what appeared to be grout/sealant coming up around the shower drain. To make sure there wasn't an underlying plumbing issue, I had a plumber inspect the shower, and he confirmed that there is no shower leak. What is especially frustrating is that the company promotes a 3-year warranty, yet getting them to address an issue that appeared 3 weeks after the job was completed has been extremely difficult. I am also repeatedly being told that they cannot properly evaluate or cover the issue because the shower is wet and they can see water present. How does that make sense when this is a shower? Of course the shower will have water in it. I have a hard time understanding how the presence of water in a shower can be used as a reason not to honor the warranty or even inspect the workmanship. My initial experience with John, the technician, was very positive. He was friendly and professional. However, when I contacted the company about the problem, I experienced significant pushback from the owner, Amy's husband. The technician came back but ultimately spent only about 5-6 minutes addressing the issue , got mad at me and said he wouldnt return until a plumber came out? I already had a plumber come out.. I paid $940 for the shower and countertop work, so I expected the company to stand behind its workmanship--especially when the problem developed just weeks after the service. I'm a very disappointed EDH customer with both the workmanship and, more importantly, how the warranty issue has been handled. I hope the company will reconsider, stand behind its 3-year warranty, and make this right. At this point, I simply hope they will do the right thing and resolve the issue professionally. read more

Amy, the owner of grout medic came out to look at our shower for an estimate and the whole main problem was the floor of the shower. Make sure you read your estimate before they come out to do the work because the floor of the shower was not even written up as being anything that needed to be fixed. That's where the grout needed to be fixed. The estimate was $458. All they did was caulk and steam clean and the person couldn't do anything with the grout because it wasn't on the estimate. But they call themselves the grout medic. I wouldn't use this company again. And then when I called to discuss this with Amy, she was not available as she's out doing estimates and Jerry the person who answered the phone was very rude. Not customer orientated at all if you're not calling for just an estimate. They become a whole different animal after that. We are going to have an actual tile person finish the job. read more

Overall, we went from the initial quote appointment to service within a week, which I thought was quick and easy (probably could have been sooner but that worked for our schedules). We got a quote a few months ago, but had to get new doors ordered before we had them come out and they honored the quote like they told us initially. 1) Jon came out to give me a price on 9/4/24. I showed him the job. We talked about what was needed. Like high low spots. Needed steamed and picked a good match of color for grout. I catted to Jon about the gold,brass finish on the shower door frame and that I didn't want any products used that would harm the finish. He assured me they only used appropriate products. Set a time for a man to come out. 2) on 9/5/24 man came out to do the work. He was here for approximately 4 hours. I inspected the work, I saw the messy job, but I thought I'd clean it up myself. I paid him $605. 3) After looking closer at the job, I noticed that the brass finished was removed in multiple places on my shower door frame. Also, the job of cleaning the grout in places was not acceptable, the low spots were not filled in.So, I called Jon. 9/11/24,Jon admitted this guy that did the work had trouble previously with his jobs. Jon said he'd do the cleaning and grout repair over again. Jon did the work, 4 more hours approximately, on 9/13/24.Jon said he'd have the owner call me about the damaged shower frame. Said he'd call today. Owner did not call me. I waited a day. Then called him. He said the other owner was out of town, would call me...waited a few more days. I called in, then they were waiting on Jon. As he called out with a funeral. I waited a few more days. Jon was back, owners were back, emails back and forth, to say they will not do anything because of the age of my home. We had a VERY good experience with The Grout Medic. They were always easy to get on the phone, and when they came out to give us a quote, they were reasonable in their pricing. There was unfortunately some frustration with them canceling our project last minute the day the project was to start (but we did appreciate their staff calling in sick if they were feeling ill) . However, they were able to come the next day and knock the project out in less than two days. We had our shower steam cleaned and re-grouted in certain areas, along with a new tile floor placed. Beware of this company. Read this post. They will quote you work, you'll sign an agreement with their convincing owner and then when their service people come to do the work, they can't perform. Then the owner will call and leave you threatening voicemails. After reviewing grout servicing companies, I chose Grout medics as they have been around a long time. I had a good meeting with owner, showing her the problem areas with my kitchen tile grout. She explained they repair grout with all types of problems and we discussed the repair process. The service men showed up and did 1/2 the work. They called me and said they could not repair my kitchen due the type of grout used during installation. I immediately called the owner to figure out how to rectify this as she said the repairs could be done. During her review, I even got down on the floor to show her missing grout. She called her service men then returned my call and said, yes they could not complete the work. I asked her to adjust the invoice accordingly for services not performed. I have never experienced with a service company for what came next. A screaming owner repeatedly threatening me with slapping a lien on my home. I did pay my invoice timely. Though I received two subsequent voicemails from the company the day of service with threats. My husband and I paid the bill but kept the voicemails to send to the better business bureau. This owner was beyond inappropriate and should not be in business. No matter what kind of job they think they can perform. This owner was a threatening mess. Incredible. That's all I can say. We are flipping a home in East Sac. The tile looked old, black, and gross. We were considering completely ripping out the bathroom and remodeling but thought we would try these guys as I saw them in a magazine that I get in the mail. First, they squeezed me in to their schedule, even after I kind of screwed them over with scheduling postponements. They made the shower look like it was tiled yesterday. Grout lines are white and the shower looks amazing. The bad news is the rest of the bathroom now looks kind of crappy, but not their fault, of course, or maybe it is, they made the shower look too good. These guys are great. Well. I did have high hopes, and maybe that is part of the disappointment. I had seen pictures of some of their grout transformations, and although none of mine was in terrible condition, I was looking forward to a my grout universally matching better by the time they finished. They get points for being on-time, for the overall grout repair and the showers actually look pretty good (Not great), but other than the repair around the sink and stove, the rest of the kitchen counters look almost exactly like they did before the tech arrived (Discolored and worn). I was thinking there would be some steam cleaning involved, or some method they performed that I couldn't do myself, but that ended up not really being the case. In the end, I paid them in full, but truly believe that I could have done the same work myself in an 8 hour day, and saved myself a bunch of money. read more

She gave me 3 estimates based on if I accepted those 3 repairs. The estimates were reasonable so I accepted.
