There is plenty of open space to sit or stand and clear your head. This place is quiet most times of the day if there is not an event going on at the auditorium. I really like the design and architecture of this garden as it is very modern and artistic. The park consists of several boardwalks that allow you to walk over the creek and the marshlands that surround it, it's also adjacent to a more commercial boardwalk full of retail and restaurants as well as a marina where you can watch shrimp boats come in and feed the dolphins and pelicans their cast offs. I could have spent hours there just doing that! I love bird watching and the walkways out into the park are perfect for that. At the end of a few of them they also have covered pergolas/gazebo like structures with a bit of seating and shade if you want to park for a while and watch. This is also ground zero for a lot of fishing, so it may be a bit more crowded an other parts of the park but on a bright, sunny day it's the place you'll want to be.

It is tucked into the residential area of the town, just a short walk down Richardson past the Y gymnastics center. This park is completely fenced in which makes it high on my list of places to bring the kids to play. It has a larger play structure than the Laurel St. park has but for some reason my kids prefer the Laurel St park to this one. Nevertheless, it is still a favorite of mine to go for a day out.

This is…read morelocated close to Park Circle and many other parks and is easy to miss when you drive by, but it is well worth a stop if you are looking for a nice wide open area to enjoy some fresh air and sunshine. This park is not too crowded and provides a good level of peace and quiet. I like that this park is divided in two by Montague Avenue and that each side is a little bit different from the other side. This park is very clean and well maintained and I have had many fun times, picnics, and adventures here over the years.

I'll add that I wanted to rent chair and umbrella. I did learn you have to do that prior to going down to the beach because they are not able to read cards. It wasn't too crowded on a Thursday afternoon 3pm. My grand had a great time. The pier is about 2.4 miles down the beach and you can see it from the park. Life guard is on duty till 6:30 and they leave chairs and umbrella till about sundown. You can remain however long . They are currently 15.$ chair and 25$ for the umbrella. We didn't get anything from the snack bar so not sure what they have or prices. Plenty of parking it seems at least at the time I went and it was $15 and I was told I could come and go with my receipt. There is a ramp for handicap accessibility . It was a very nice day trip.

Golf carts are welcomed on the local streets allowing for easy beach and eatery access especially if you don't have beach from accomodations. There are several public beach access points that do require paid parking in the near proximity. ***There is also free street parking if you dont mind the walk. There is also a state beach park on the south end of Folly thata really nice with showers, rest rooms, gift shop and etc. last best thing about Folly is they allow wind shades such as Shibumi. Go check out Folly, you won't be disappointed. I promise!

At high tide it's a tricky walk as sadly there's a lot of natural erosion happening. There are a lot of shells that are so pretty, you are not allowed to take but admire. It also wraps around white point garden. There are so many sights, it's very pleasant, and the whole thing is along the water. My husband went multiple times on our trip to get our morning jogs in. I will make a note that there are lots of birds and they are not afraid of dropping ppoop from above. My cousin was a representative of that, as well as someone else we saw in the park. There are lots of statues with history in them as well. On a hot day, the sea breeze feels great, and in the winter, it can make it much cooler. There are lots of homes that look out to the park and give it a vibe that is out of a movie. There are sidewalks and ramps in the area, but sometimes there are a situation of off-road driving is needed. As not all of this is ADA-compliant. We got to see some cannons as well as the place where they were fired from. You can see lots of dogs and its leash free park, so you might have a four legged from come say hi. There are still rules about how they have to be friendly, and that you still have to have control over your pet. There was a gazebo in the middle that was a great place to take a break without fear of bird poop falling from the sky. Overall, it was a great park to visit while getting some history.
