It is great to have these local stores that will support other local opportunities! When I was there selling cookies with girl scouts i did go in and peruse a little bit after the sale was done and picked up a few items to show support back at them. They had a nice variety of items even energy bars or trail mix as I recall. That was some of the stuff i am pretty sure i picked up. The staff was super friendly! The store was clean and organized. They had a good supply of items. If i needed some items from a hardware store I would definitely support Ace! our small local businesses need us more than ever. The big boxes will survive.

Looking for master bathroom lights and mirrors. Walking into the store we were greeted and directed to the lights we were interested in. Spent 15 minutes looking. No one came to see if we needed help. Three employees, no customers except us and they couldn't be bothered. All staring at computer screens. It's really awkward and I'd rather just leave. I would not have posted, but this happened when I bought out door lights! I had to wait at the counter until someone finally offered to help. We were literally ignored. I spent over $2,500 (not much, but enough that you would think they'd show some interest). Loved the quality and why we came back. My guess is they work on large remodels or new construction and spend most of their time and effort working on large quotes. I received an order confirmation email from Ace. I called the store today to see if I could pick up the trimmer tomorrow and was told that their computer said not to fulfill the order. The rep suggested that I place the order again. I tried repeatedly to log in to Ace's website and even tried to order the trimmer as a guest, but the website was dysfunctional. So I found a similar trimmer at Lowes for $153 and ordered it there. I figured it was worth $13 to me to buy a trimmer without all the hassle I had to go through with Ace.

I learned so much because the Woodcraft staff seem like its their job to interact and educate where they can. I'm sure this varies by location but these two stores tell a different tale. I become a confirmed Woodcraft fan after my Rockler experience. Also, when I got home from Rockler, I realized they sold me a protion of purpleheart thats cracked. I never had any issues or complaints about the products bought at Woodcraft. In fact, twice from pen kits, I damaged a piece and they replaced it without any issues.
