Grab a beer, wine, cider or rootbeer with a great view of the lake now that the weather is getting nicer. Its a fun little place under NEW OWNERSHIP. More food options than before and even some Karaoke nights. Get your growlers filled with local faves. Cool local hang out with friendly staff.

Fred and I went to this tiny bar in Progress Ridge. This perfectly placed slice of heaven was the perfect stop, after a long day of shopping fun. We sat at the bar, and the woman that tended that bar taps was such a delight! She was knowledgeable and gave Fred tasters of all the ciders they had in house; while giving me all the laughs I could handle! This place always has something going on, between the Bob Ross, televised sports games and weekly activities! Fred and I will be coming back for the, "Sip and Paint Night!"

Stopped by for a drink after having dinner nearby. There were some people sitting outside but no one inside so my friend & I sat inside on a Tuesday evening. Snack options seemed pretty good. Better than it was before. The bartender seemed to be servicing and cleaning the place pretty well. Felt safe to sit inside.

I got the Lagunitas Phase Change IPA, and it was super refreshing! Lots of beer on tap here. You can choose to drink out on the patio by the lake! Beer and chill = good vibes.

Not a bad spot to stop in and grab a beer or a tasting flight. The wine selection isn't great but again, not shabby. I wasn't overly excited by the selections, or the service, so I doubt we will be back but it was fine as a quick stop after back to school night.

A fun little place for brews on tap. Great brew board and knowledgable bartenders. The nice part was being given the chance to taste a few before purchasing. My only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is location. The bar is conveniently located in a strip mall near my favorite movie theater, but it has no ambience and a strip mall feel. A little better atmosphere and I would gladly give it the 5th star. Prices are good, selection is vast (42), and people are friendly.

The growlerie growler carrier with a cork bottom to absorb any overflow of beer. Perfect to take places to fill 2 growlers.

Their website says it all, best place in Beaverton, and they didn't mention this, but close to Tigard to fill growlers. Staff is always friendly, attentive, and knowledgable about beer. Always ready to make small plates that go great with some good micro beers. Always a good selection of ipa's and darker beers. Also, ample seating inside and an awesome atmosphere of outdoor seating in the back.

It's a small place that fills up quickly, but people are nice and let you squeeze in. A fantastic selection of delicious beverages are always available, and they are willing to let you sample if you ask nicely :) Fun events like Bingo and live music make this place super crowded, but totally worth the claustrophobic pain. The best part about this place, at least for me, is that when La Provence has a long wait time, or the movie at Cinetopia doesn't start for an hour, we can grab a beer here. It's chill and feels like a cozy hangout spot fit for all.

[Format & Space] Seat yourself*, review the menus at the table, order at the bar, they bring your food and drinks to your table. *Plenty of tables, some with long benches, others with chairs on the inside. There's also a large patio. This is a welcome and safe space. [Drinks] Right up front, I'm going to tell you I'm a lightweight. I'm allergic to alcohol, so I don't drink often. Here's one of the things I love about The 649. They have a fantastic selection of mocktails that are created with the same creativity, flair, and intention as a "leaded" cocktail. I appreciate that I get to participate and not be stuck with a lemonade, zero alcohol beer, or wine. So, HUZZAH for creating an inviting space for a non-drinker! There *are* times when I'm willing to risk the lobster-bod, itchiness, and stuffy nose and there are plenty of cocktails from which to choose! [Food] There's a nice selection of sharable plates and mains. I've personally tried the flatbread pizza, Bavarian pretzel, Cubano, and Brisket Press, all of which were delish. [Service] The service has always been fabulous. The staff are welcoming, friendly, and helpful. [Activities] There are a few TVs around the bar with sports. It was a great place to catch some of the World Cup games. Additionally, there are several games that you can borrow and play, which is a lot of fun. [Location] Tucked in a busy shopping center with Safeway as an anchor. Parking hasn't been super problematic yet, but based on one of the other reviewers (Ron R - loved your formatting too, so I borrowed it until we get rich text formatting or emojis!) I can see where it could be a challenge.

Because it's somewhat hidden in the corner of a Safeway shopping plaza. Look for the Baskin Robbins or Wells Fargo ATM and your find it. Like other reviews, when busy, parking can be a bit horrendous. But in hindsight, I'm not gonna reduce a star just because of location. * Bar Food Menu & Dining * Their menu starts with shareable bites, like a pretzel, tacos, quesadilla, loaded nachos, and even a charcuterie plate. Slightly larger dishes would be their Cubano and Brisket Press sandwiches. They even have a few choices for soup and salads, and a couple of dessert items listed. Don't forget to check the chalkboard next to the bar for specialty dishes and drinks. As for dining-in, they've got sturdy wooden tables that can accommodate 4-8 people. Bar stools by the windows, and a fairly large outside patio area. And with the times I've been here, I've never seen a dirty table. Very well maintained (two thumbs up). A few TV monitors showing the game, but its not like a noisy sportsbar. * Drinks & Services* You've got your choice of craft beers that rotate like a standard tap room. They also have tasty seasonal cocktails, but their normal everyday cocktails are just as good. And if you're gonna have a charcuterie board, then you've got to offer a wine list option right? Well they got that too! One last thing to mention, they've got some top-shelf bourbon and whiskey. The 649 is a bar that offers it all! Service has also been welcoming and top-notch. I recall only been served by Rich, Steven, and Crystal, but they always seem to craft up some lovely cocktails. Or deliver some clean tasting everyday type of bar food as well. * Last Call * Normally in my reviews, I'd list every item that I've tried, with price included. But The 649 is such a unique type of bar experience that I feel you should try for yourself; To me, their offerings are reasonably priced. Dining in is nothing fancy, but service is excellent. It's a great hangout for a business date, of even after a first date. I've got nothing but love for local support!

We had our little dog with us so I was happy to see they had a dog friendly patio. It was a warm day and the staff immediately brought her out a bowl of water, which was a thoughtful gesture and shows the level of service they offer to their patrons. Our server, I believe her name was Casey, was lovely. She was friendly and seemed to know a lot of the regulars by name which gave the restaurant a welcoming feel. I ordered the Danish pancakes (Æbleskiver), and they were absolutely delicious. They came with house-made lemon curd and lingonberry jam, and both were incredible. The lemon curd was rich and creamy with just the right amount of tartness, while the lingonberry jam added a sweet-tart flavor that paired perfectly with the fluffy pancakes. Four of them were more than enough to fill me up. My husband ordered the Pytt i Panna, a traditional Swedish hash made with crispy potatoes, bell peppers, and onions, topped with two soft-baked eggs and served with pickled beets and Nordic rye toast. It was hearty, comforting, and full of flavor. The pickled beets were a nice contrast to the savory hash, and everything on the plate was scrumptious! Between the delicious food, welcoming service, and dog-friendly patio, we had a very nice time and it was a good send-off before our walk through the woods to find Ole Bolle. I'd happily come back the next time I'm in the area.

We started with the cardamom latte (rich and nutty) and the matcha marzipan (sweet and with enough aromatic almond flavor) and then proceeded to feast. We started with the Danish pancake donuts- lovely in that they were both savory and sweet, comes with lemon curd and jam. The lefse breakfast was really interesting - a layered thicker 'crepe' with cheese and egg. The fish plate was our family favorite - an epic collection of shrimp, mini shrimps, gravlax, pickled herring (our favorite) various breads, crackers and sauces. Very well presented, fun to eat, and enough to share. We also ordered the Swedish meatballs - rich hearty but small and few (5 total). Luckily, we had plenty of other food and this dish was great with sherry mushroom sauce and a delicious potato latke-like side. Our server was also incredibly personable, friendly, and helpful in our food choices which we always appreciate.
