For the main entree, we had a steak (medium rare) with unique onions (?balsamic grilled?) with broccolini that we enjoyed whereas the fish was a little on the dry side over a bed of rissoto. Dessert was creme brulee (good) and a chocolate forest cake (did not taste that great but maybe I don't like cherries like that.) Live music with guitar and singing was occurring in the lounge. That was lovely but it was a little too loud. The atmosphere is nice-- bar area with some table seating in the lounge area. We also liked the patio terrace outside which has fire pits and outdoor games. It has a lovely view of the downtown. (And remember that it does not get dark in San Jose in summers until around 9pm). The club also has a formal dining room, business conference/meeting rooms, ballrooms, etc. for any occasion. Parking is underground in the building and will be validated. When guildhouse opened to the general public in the afternoon, the atmosphere lit up. It's so casual and just a nice place to come and relax with your friends. There are a ton of amenities, whether it's board games, video games(both PC stations and console stations), and esports streams displayed the whole time. Such a great place if you want to avoid typical bars and want a gaming or anime themed environment!

It is a spacious venue, and there is always something going on. They occasionally do get rented out for events, though, so I'd recommend checking ahead of time, especially if you're not a regular. The staff here is great; everyone is really friendly, and the bartenders are quick and accommodating. The food here is decent, though it can be a little slow in coming out. Their selection of drinks is solid as well, and the bartenders are helpful in making recommendations if you're unsure. Overall, it's a really great spot to hang out after work--there is free WiFi, a ton of space, and a lot to do. I'd recommend figuring out when they're hosting events you enjoy or coming by with some friends if you're interested in board games.

This review is purely for Zog's volleyball league. This league is extremely beginner level. Lots of…read morework teams and new players. Occasionally you will have a couple people who come into this league knowing how to play volleyball but are there anyways for a ego boost. If you are new to volleyball, read here. Yes this league may be a good starting point as it's very beginner level play, it's good for work teams and meeting new people. But you won't want to be here for long. There are the occasional try-hards that will come into the league to feel good about themselves by hitting hard and running plays on a net that's lower than women's height. Another downside is that some of these players think they can play but in fact they are very dangerous and make it very unsafe. Landing under the net and causing ankle sprains when you block is very common here. So play smart, watch out for others. If you have some volleyball experience and understand the game, read here. This league is very poorly ran. You have one ref that does not understand the rules of volleyball. No calls are made, clear doubles where the ball is spiraling, crazy players who jump and land under the net, players touching the net and lifts. You call your own lines, so in and out calls are all on you and the other team. The ref literally is there to just blow the whistle for serve and then flip the score. They dont even have anyone setting up the nets for you as well, so you need to set it up yourself. The net is literally lower than womens height. So if you're here playing with some new friends who are learning to play, have some integrity to play to the level of others and be safe. I played in this league before it became Zog (Dynamic sports) id say it has changed but not for the better. Same stuff as it was 5-6 years ago. If you are looking for some better play there are other leagues out there. Campbell Community center used to have a good one they may or may not still be running. Then there's IVL if you're looking for competitive play. Zog by far is the most expensive league and the total amount of games you play in the season is less then all these other leagues I mentioned. So if you're factoring bang for your buck. Zog is definitely not that.

The accelerator had a wonderful sense of camaraderie and was a supportive environment in which to learn business essentials, and to learn from each other. Outside the accelerator program, the Dojo is a really friendly, grass-roots environment in which people can hang out, do work, and share ideas, and the people in charge of it are very passionate about it. (As an example of it being a friendly place, one of the regulars there impromptu-shared delicious bacon sandwiches that he had just barbequed.) I've grown very fond of it.

When I asked about purchasing a local cider they carried I was given directions to the maker, what time they opened, and who I should talk to when I get there. Now that's going above and beyond. There was a nice variety of drinks and they were delicious. I loved the layout of the venue very intimate with the stage but still tons of standing room and if you didn't want to be inside with the crowd there was a tv with the ample outside seating where you could watch the band. The bathrooms were very spacious and super clean. The little taco stand in the back was perfect too. The tacos were delicious. I wish we had a place just like Moe's in Sacramento . I will definitely come to Moe's again next time in town.

I've seen every band in the world, and GBA are the best. Their music is infectious, like a sonic virus that penetrates the auditory cortex and sets up standing waves of bliss and intrigue, and which also penetrates the motor cortex and sets your feet on autopilot. They find the dirtiest nastiest funkiest grooves with just the right amount of dissonance to keep you hooked, like an itch that you can only partially scratch. In addition to their own vulgar grooves, they pay homage to artists ranging from Gary Bartz, Gil Scott-Heron, and Michael Jackson to Burt Bacharach/Hal David and George Harrison. And they've been at this for over 30 years now - yet you look at them playing and they are constantly laughing and joking with each other. Somehow they still seem to love playing with each other, and that energy comes across to the audience at every show. This might be their hidden superpower - the love the 5 of them have somehow held onto for doing this together all this time.
