The rooms come with beach chairs, a cooler and beach towels. The bathroom is large and the water pressure was great. Housekeeping is scheduled if you want it and you can make the arrangements. If you want to change your towel there are designated times to set out your towels or you can also switch them at the office. There is a nicely sized fridge and microwave available in the room for use. You can grab water bottles from the office if you get thirsty. We did not need a golf cart but the office is able to support you in getting a golf cart and they pull carts for you to borrow to take the beach. You are able to borrow bikes as well during the designated hours. The beach entrance is right across the street and on the other side of the street you walk right into Siesta Village. The trip was a treat and I am looking forward to returning.

The kitchen is equipment with the basic things we needed. The beautiful beaches, stores, restaurants were nearby. We had a very memorable stay and plan on booking next year's anniversary in this sweet escape. We highly recommend this quiet, peaceful getaway.

One night in unit 101 which is an efficiency style unit, 260sq ft, was $252. The rental included self parking with my own dedicated spot, which was perfect because I was driving there. The office sent me a text and an email with check in instructions. The room was clean and well stocked. My only qualm was that the toilet barely flushed. It looked like it was going to overflow every time you flush is and the toilet paper would just linger in there until it decomposed. Yes, there was a plunger in there but I wasn't about to get to work on that toilet. Nope. Instead I planned to just toss the paper in the trash and find another place to go #2 if I had to. The fridge kept my drinks and snacks cool. I did not use the cooking stuff. I wanted to use the coffee maker but there were no filters (I brought my own coffee grounds). They had some pre packaged stuff, but I opted not to use it. There were some snacks with the coffee creamers etc but the date on the peanuts was May 2024 so I didn't bother looking at anything else. The towels were nice and soft. The water pressure was insane. The kitchen sink pretty much assaulted me when I turned it on. The shower and bathroom sink were just as powerful. Water temp was good. The room itself was very cool, had a NOISY but powerful AC. It clunked every time it reached temp and turned off. Wear ear plugs. Beach access was a short walk away, as well as a wonderful breakfast spot (toasted mango), awesome ice cream place (Jake's) and delicious deli (Anna's). I walked everywhere. There are nearby fancy restaurants and local bars and the marina isn't far at all. I walked there too. I'd say this place overall was great value and very safe. I appreciated the community pool and beach access. I had my own chairs and umbrella, so I did not rent. I would stay here again. This is a quieter side of the island compared to the village.

An excellent beachfront getaway…read more On The Beach is literally on the beach. The small cottage-style rooms are within 200 feet of the ocean, but secluded behind palm trees, so neighboring properties do not distract. The rooms themselves are very clean and modern. Simple, but just right. Every room has a fridge, microwave and "kitchen" sink, so it's accommodating for an extended stay. Just note that the fridge is small, so groceries will need to be limited. The bed was very comfortable with tons of pillows. The walk-in shower looked like it was brand new. Plenty of hot water and water pressure to clean off after a day on the beach. To get to the beach, you walk down a short trail that's surrounded by bushes and flowers. The sand is a mixture of white sand and shells. Lounge chairs are provided, in addition to beach towels. If you want a larger, busier beach, take a short walk south and you'll end up at Nokomis Beach. Walk north and you can go for miles without seeing many people at all. That is also a great route if you are looking to collect shells. After your beach day is over, there is a small outdoor shower by the property to rinse off. Each room also has a couple of chairs outside, so you can air dry, if you prefer, before going back inside. The staff (housekeeping and management) have relatively short hours, so you may need to contact the parent property (Bentley Boutique Hotel) to check-in, or if you need other assistance outside of 10:30-5. In terms of a value, find a deal through a 3rd party booker or take advantage of an On The Beach special - either way, I doubt you will be able to find a better beach stay for such an affordable price. The area itself is relatively quiet, but there are a few restaurants within 5-10 minutes. If you need heavier shopping, head north about 20 minutes to hit the city area. Siesta Key is also just over 30 minutes away, depending on traffic. I highly recommend On The Beach and I'll be back the next time I want a beach getaway!

Honestly? One of the WORST places I've ever stayed. We were so excited to stay here because of the…read morelocation, but the management is so TERRIBLE I can't recommend it to anyone. We had a miscommunication about payment (it's cash or money order ONLY, due up front, unless you PayPal 7 days in advance) and that was not made clear enough considering how out of the norm that is--at least, I've only ever stayed in places where your pay upon departure. Especially since I believed my credit card was on file as they used it to collect the deposit. Anyway, no one was there to check us in in person and no one was there to collect a check on Day 1. We called to check in & were told keys were on the table, but there was zero mention of payment. On Day 2, that night we needed a few extra blankets and called for assistance. Only then did they realize they forgot to collect payment, which I said I did not have because I expected to pay via card. It was late, so I said I would do my best to get a money order the next day. Day 3, we had a boat tour and massages booked and planned to get a money order after those plans. However, the harassment started EARLY this day and management (the brother) texted, called and harassed my friend (we checked in on her phone) all day, even though she assured him we would get the money order when we had time. He harassed her ALL DAY regardless--it's clear he had made a mistake and was trying to quickly fix it, even though we had no way to address it until after our massages. As soon as we were done with massages we ran around town in the pouring rain trying to get a money order but kept running into roadblocks (machines not working, couldn't take out more than $500, etc). When I explained that we only had $500 but could try again the next day (our stay was 5 days) he threatened to KICK US OUT and call the police. I'm shaking as I write this and remember this because it was incredibly alarming. Eventually he said we could PayPal WITH AN ADDED 3% FEE, which is substantial on a 5-night stay. And even worse, REFUSED to collect the $500 money order we had spent half the day trying to obtain. We called the person we booked with (the sister) to complain about this treatment, and she said "So you're saying my brother is a liar?" No apologies, no indication that it was a misunderstanding, no leniency. It ruined the evening and put a dark cloud over the rest of the trip. Also, this place was not clean, there were ants everywhere, furniture drawers were broken and you have to pay a $200 cleaning fee even though you need to start the laundry, take out your own trash and do your own dishes. It's my understanding that they sold this place for a bunch of money (according to some guests who were also staying here), which could explain the lack of concern for their guests. Stay somewhere else.

The homes are absolutely beautiful and sure made ME and my wedding party and family feel at home and made for the perfect sunset wedding on their beach 2 years ago. My condo had all the necessities of fresh towels enough for a week, paper towels, dishwashing detergent, soap and coffee. In fact much better than any condo in which I've ever stayed where you bring everything including sometimes your own sheets( jersey shore). The beachside was wonderful. Free beach chairs, grills, showers. The RVA staff was helpful and accommodating even coming by AFTER HOURS within 15 minutes of me getting locked out. Would recommend this place.

From reading, I expect this is due to not wanting to confuse any hatching sea turtles, but if sure made it tough to find the right door the first time. Oh, by the way, there is no elevator. It is only two flight of stairs, but it made me realize that where ever I retire to needs to be on the ground floor or have an elevator. We were surprised to find that there were no towels, no toilet paper, and dirty dishes in the dishwasher. This necessitated an urgent trip to the Publix which closed five mins before we got there. The CVS was open until 10 pm, and we bought the bare necessities. The next morning we waited until about 10 am and then called the answering service about the towels and a few other things. About an hour later, some people arrived and began to tidy up the place, left us some towels, bars of soap, and a dishwasher packet. As far as the condo goes, the only two rooms that were carpeted were the two bedrooms. The beds were comfortable. I did notice if I put on a pair of footies in the morning, they were blackened on the bottoms by mid day. I suspect the place had not had a thorough cleaning for some time. The refrigerator had a rusted door. The bathroom toilet filled very slowly. You could not be in the shower and use the water anyplace else, or you would have wide swings in shower temperature. The pool was small, but pristine. There was a free washer machine and two dryers for the entire complex, and while they were busy, it wasn't hard to get time to do your wash. The beach is incredible. Even during Spring Break weekend, you could look up and own the beach and see maybe a total of ten people in the mornings. There were always chairs available and they were free. TV's were flat screens, worked fine, and had DVD, VCR and stereo capability. Free high speed WIFI available in the condo and worked flawlessly.
