Based on that call, I would have expected a low overall rating for the club but when I logged in I see it's going well at 4 stars overall. I personally find it a little invasive that he sorted through every client named Dawn and compared the gym photos to mine here to find and call me, but, here's a note to confirm that my experiences did, in fact, occur in 2017. I was looking for someone who would work with my 14 year-old brother on the 5x5 program that his school had assigned for the upcoming soccer session. Filipe was fantastic. He modified the program to better fit my brother's soccer needs and was incredibly patient and down-to-earth. My brother worked with him for about 8 weeks (roughly 3x a week)and felt huge difference during tryouts. The facility is brand new and well equipped plus Filipe's pricing is incredibly reasonable. You pay as you go and there is no need to sign up for an annoying gym membership. Here is what my brother has to say about his time with Filipe: Filipe not only helped me to become a stronger person but a more determined one, as his deep knowledge of fitness combined with his welcoming personality and unending patience created an environment of hard work and perseverance. His emphasis on proper form taught me the importance of not only the weight of what I was lifting but the technique I was using to lift that weight. Additionally, Filipe did not judge me but rather encouraged me to keep going when I made mistakes, giving me pointers to do so, all leading me to not only obtaining the strength I needed but the knowledge and work ethic to continue to develop. Battle rope (one lighter, one heavy) two landmine ( one on the turf that is lighter, one next to a squat rack that's a barbell 45 lbs and a new hip thruster machine that is similar to a booty machine. Standing squat machine, declined leg press and seated leg press, Seated calf raise and three different cable machines!!! Two squat racks with platform for deadlift and more!!! One new assisted pull up/ dips multi functional machine, stair masters and lots of cardio machines!!! One or two smith machines. Free weights has a huge mirrors and variety light to the heaviest db you will need for your workout! They even have enough space to do some push sleds, Olympic rings, jump boxes, rowers and bikes! The only thing is missing: medicine balls They have some weighted balls but those do bounce! I was looking for something to slam into the turf. Do you know if you do nothing Your ETF payments will start automatically flowing to Midtown? They can do nothing and sit back and rake it in. It is we the customer who have to go to considerable trouble of cancelling our ETF payments if we don't want our money to go to this over crowded gym that we have never even entered before and did not choose. They have no room. Equipment is jammed together willy nilly all over the place. This is nothing like we signed up for at World Gym. Everyone should cancel their ETF payments immediately. Also it is a complete lie that they are honoring World Gym's contracts. I pay by ETF but my neighbor paid World Gym upfront and got several extra months in return for paying in advance. Is Midtown honoring my neighbor's contract? It is not , despite the statement on their web page. SO CANCEL YOUR ETF"S . I suspect they are paying under the table money to World Gym depending on how many passive suckers stick with them.
