Quick, 30-35 minute workouts that are high in intensity and leave you feeling great! Lots of time slots on the schedule each day which is a plus, and they even have a kids room! Progressions can easily be made for more advanced gym goers so can modifications be made for those who have injuries or difficulties with a certain movement. At each workout a trainer is with you the whole time and can progress or modify any activity for you if needed. They have group training classes which is boot camp type classes that incorporate some weights, cardio classes with no weights, and strength classes too. With your membership you get it all which is really cool. Very happy I finally made the switch to Driven Performance!

This is a great location with a wide variety of machines, ample free weights, two squat racks a semi-private turf room, hack squat and leg press machines, and great plate load incline chest machine. Eric and Lori have also invested in a lot of unconventional things to compliment my workouts that you might not find other gyms, like a Swiss bar, Olympic tricep bar, arm blaster, and many other things. The only negative is that the water fountain tastes off. This is more to do with the towns water. Bring your own water or pick one up in the vending machine!

I have been a YMCA member for almost ten years. I stuck with them through several moves and many…read morelocations. The Y is a great community driven place where a person truly feels connected to their neighborhood and I love it for that. I also love the low cost and the membership sliding scale during times of financial hardship. The Y is a great place to get a family membership for all of these reasons. When I moved to Worcester a few years back, I was at first hesitant to join the closest Y to my house, because it is in a rough neighborhood and I had preconceived notions about the types of people I would encounter in a facility located in the heart of a drug and gang-ridden 'hood. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that many good, honest, working folks use this Y, including several pillars of the community. All of the equipment is in good condition, and it is evident that the funding this branch gets is good because they are constantly updating equipment and remodeling. But what really ruins this particular YMCA branch is the extremely poor customer service at the desk and the ridiculous characters they consider "personal trainers." In spite of having so many employees on at any given time, they seem to prefer congregating and having a laugh to actually helping anyone. When you call, the phone rings off the hook and nobody answers. When you come in person, the group of young people working the desk practically ignore you or give you one word answers. When you send letters or faxes, you do not get confirmations or responses. The hours at this location are horrendous also. They close super early every night and they're too lazy to open on Sundays. Most people who work need access during nights and weekends, yet this branch doesn't seem to care. A couple of months out of the year they "extend their hours" to include a few hours on Sundays. The trainers in the fitness area are 9 out of 10 obese. How anyone would pay someone in worse shape then they are to train them is beyond me. They charge normal rates for personal training yet the trainers look more in need of it then the members. There are several branches of YMCAs accessible to residents of Worcester and neighboring towns. DON'T waste your money on the Main Street, Central Branch. If you do choose this Y out of convenience, get the membership that allows you to use the other YMCA locations also, otherwise you'll wish you had.

Another annoying occurrence is that it takes weeks/if not months for something to be fixed (example the sensors in the sauna) There is a group of older gentlemen who continuously talk about the saunas/stream baths in their original country of origin. They continuously mess around with the heat sensors at the YMCA claiming the sauna here isn't "hot enough" as it is in their country of origin. They in turn mess up the sauna and put it out of commission for weeks/if not months.

Standing squat machine, declined leg press and seated leg press, Seated calf raise and three different cable machines!!! Two squat racks with platform for deadlift and more!!! One new assisted pull up/ dips multi functional machine, stair masters and lots of cardio machines!!! One or two smith machines. Free weights has a huge mirrors and variety light to the heaviest db you will need for your workout! They even have enough space to do some push sleds, Olympic rings, jump boxes, rowers and bikes! The only thing is missing: medicine balls They have some weighted balls but those do bounce! I was looking for something to slam into the turf. Other than that, this is absolutely beautiful, clean, bright atmosphere and an A grade sort of gym that you will enjoy being there! Things are put neatly, disposable wipes are easily accessible!!! Also, staffs and the owner are there to help you if you ever want to know how to use the machine. They are helpful and friendly! Great community since the owner is super friendly. I got there a couple of times and was always greeted with a smile by him or other staffs! The vibe is inviting and not intimidating! I got there a bit early because, in my experience, you'll need to spend a few minutes signing liability waivers and chatting. The coaches, Dino and Perry, were great! Friendly and made sure I was well informed about what was going on for day and where the equipment was. The prior class was finishing up, and they were willing to share their mini white boards for me to us! As I was getting ready, many people helped me find or share equipment as needed, and there was more than enough space for a class of 15-20. Perry led the class and watched everyone, offering advise and making sure everyone was maintained good form through a rough workout. Drop in prices were average for most CrossFit gyms: $20, or buy a $20 shirt/tank and the class is free! I will definitely be back if I'm in the area again!

They wouldn't help me work on her service dog tasks and behaviors after making the request several times. One Mission Dog Training trained Honey to do many great things, like have patience, her service dog task, and her obedience, which is why I'm disappointed as to why they didn't answer when I asked why and if Honey could pick up another task/other obedience.
