The Gyro Project just knows how to do it right. I wish they had a location closer to me! I've eaten here many times and it's always perfection. During my most recent visit we only came in for some coffee and sweets and everything was so good. I loved my shaken espresso which was strong and sweet and the baklava was 10 outta 10. My friend ordered the frozen yogurt with oreo topping and said it was absolutely decadent. They've absolutely nailed the decor and I love the gorgeous pink flowers. They also have a fun store area with authentic greek products and cute merch. Amidst all of the fast casual Greek / bowl options this stands out as one of the best in NJ. Clearly I'm not the only one who feels this way, because at 1 PM on a weekday it's nearly impossible to get a table in their large space.

Excellent Greek wraps and bowls. The falafel pita was great. Fries on the inside. The gyro bowl was also really good. Could not finish all of it. Will definitely be going back to try the rotisserie chicken and all of the baked goods.

I first tried The Gyro Project at the location by my job in NYC because my coworkers boasted about it so it was only right to try the OG location in Fort Lee. The food was equally as delicious and full of flavor. The prices are pretty normal with the pita being $12.95. The portion size is big and I end up full not finishing all of it yet but I always want to finish it all. I love the french fries too! They're my fav type. The look of this location is way cuter and bigger than the midtown NYC location. They took the aesthetic of Greece with the flowers. It's so spacious! The service was also great just like the other location. Very welcoming and making sure you have a great experience. I'll definitely be back!

Feed me gyros and tell me I'm pretty!!! The Gyro Project is a fast casual Greek restaurant in Fort Lee, NJ. I've been coming here for a little over a year to satisfy my cravings. The menu has a large variety of options - appetizers, salads, wraps, build-your-own bowls, pitas, platters, rotisserie chicken, etc. They also have baked goods, coffee, and desserts. A small section of the restaurant has merchandise and imported Greek cooking products for sale. I've tried a little bit of everything on the menu. Some are hits while some are misses. The prices are a little steep and they get higher every year. I will say... everything is freshly prepared and the ingredients are high quality. The portion sizes are also on the generous side, so the price is worth it. These are my absolute favorite menu items: *Bifteki Platter $20.95 (includes three patties, hand-cut fries, Mediterranean salad, tzatziki, and pita bread) - WOW, this has to be my #1 favorite dish here! The bifteki (baked beef patties) were so juicy and tender. They were like giant meatballs seasoned to perfection with herbs (mint, oregano, parsley). I squeezed some lemon and olive oil on top and every bite was HEAVEN. The pita bread was warm and fluffy. I loved how fresh the salad was. *Greek Club Sandwich $19.95 (includes chicken gyro, tomatoes, onions, mozzarella, sauce, and pita bread with hand-cut fries) - What a delicious sandwich! The pita was nice and crispy (similar to a panini). The chicken was smoky and savory. Their hand-cut fries are to die forrr - hot and crunchy! *Frozen Yogurt $6.95-$10.95 - Sometimes I come here JUST to get a cup of froyo. Yes, it's THAT good - the froyo texture is just right. Not too icy and not too watery with a smooth and creamy texture similar to soft serve ice cream. They only have two flavors (vanilla and Greek tart), but they offer specialty toppings. A small cup is more than enough for one person. *Rice Pudding $6.95 - I wish the portion size was bigger because I could eat this nonstop! The pudding is sweet, creamy, and milky with subtle notes of vanilla and cinnamon. Many customers order for pick-up/take-out, but you can also choose to dine in. The interior is stunning and almost makes you forget you're in a fast casual eatery. The hanging light fixtures, flowers, plants, marble tabletops, and wooden furniture transport you to the Mediterranean. The staff is always super welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Everyone greets you with a smile! I'm a creature of habit, so I tend to order the same items once I love them. But there's so many other options here that I just have to try more! My wallet thinks it's worth it :')

Fast casual Greek food. Food was fresh and came out quickly. You can order, they give you a number and you pick a seat. They bring the food to you. There is ample seating + sunlight. Overall the food could use more flavor, the lemon potatoes needed a little more salt and maybe garlic + herbs? The rotisserie chicken was on the dry side and could have used less time rolling in heat. The salad was perfect! A fresh, tasty accompaniment to the chicken. Also the spinach + feta "spring rolls" were an interesting idea and super flavorful. But of course, how could anything fried be bad? For dessert we had The OG froyo. Good + sweet and the perfect ending for dinner. I wish the yogurt was a little more tart, it was on the sweeter side, but still delicious. Overal, I'll definitely be back!

    First time here. So exited!!!

Delivered order -Food: One Box of Six Sticks Chicken Souvlaki: it comes with more than enough food for three people. Has a lot of pita Bread ( I guess?!) , lemon slices. Six sticks of the most wonderful, fresh & flavorful Chicken cubes. Oh my. I think this is the best grilled chicken I've ever tried in my whole life, really. I also brought a side of lemon potatoes were too juicy and combined perfectly chicken main plate. On the side, you get soft but flavorful Tzatziki Thank You very much for fulfill my cravings today. Today is my day off. And I really appreciate this delicious food. Keep doing a wonderful job. My blessings to all the team. Thank you again.

Absolutely delicious! We tried the pork belly platter and the lamb, and both were cooked to perfection--tender, flavorful, and packed with that mouthwatering char. The sides were just as impressive--fresh, vibrant, and the perfect complement to the meats. The location couldn't be better--plenty of parking, beautiful decor that sets the vibe, and music that's top tier. You can tell they put thought into every detail, from the food to the atmosphere. Everything tasted so fresh and well-seasoned, and the service was just as great as the meal. Portion sizes were generous, and the whole experience was an absolute win. We'll definitely be coming back!

Great space with many table options and beautiful interior! There were more people coming as time passed and the line was almost never empty! I had heard great things about their frozen yogurt but the food was also delicious. I got the appetizer size falafel which was very filling and the Green Goddess sauce was delicious - so much so I took it home. The OG Fries were nothing I haven't tried before but I appreciated how crispy the fries were even with the soft feta blocks. I got the TGP Classic with original frozen yogurt - you also have the option to have it with vanilla frozen yogurt, which is sweeter and creamier. But the tartness of the frozen yogurt paired deliciously with the smooth olive oil. I was tempted by the Dubai Chocolate so I'll have to try it next time!

We ordered for take out on a rainy overcast day and was surprise when I walked into the restaurant for pick up- clean, brightly lit with lots of lights, and all around wonder ambiance! Food is of high quality, portions are generous, and beyond my expectations. I personally ordered "I'll Have The Salmon" platter is so filling, it could easily be two meals. The grilled salmon is cooked perfectly and sides included are delicious! My only suggestion- Some of the potatoe pieces were too large and the flavors wasn't infused into the center. My husband ordered their "Souvlaki Platter"- a chicken entree with a side of falafel add-on. He has a big appetite but unable to finish the meal in one go due to the large portion. He'd order this dish again, very palatable. And talking about what we'd order it again, it is their OG fries loaded with feta cheese! Yum!! Their soft serve is a must try, we ordered their Samoa vanilla soft serve loaded extra crunchy coconut chips, chocolate and caramel drizzles!!!

Always fresh, delicious Greek food. Quick service. Bright, cheery blue and white decor. Plenty of seating for small or large groups.

This area is no short of Mediterranean spots and this one did not disappoint. Its sort of a fast food gyro spot however they had a pretty extensive menu. The interior of the Gyro Project was very bright and welcoming. The menu is a little overwhelming so I would look at it ahead of time. There are plenty of options to choose from. I ordered take out and ordered the chicken souvlaki platter served with fries, salad and tzatzik. It was very good. I ate some of it in the car but took the rest home. I've also had delivery and I dont feel it travels well. I think the platters are better fresh when eaten there. Otherwise this is a great greek fast food place with friendly staff eager to answer any questions.

    David N.

Wow! Place is definitely amazing! Great food and wonderful, friendly staff. I had the half rotisserie chicken plate and a side of lamb/beef gyro. Food was on point coming out fresh and hot! Will definitely be back when I visit from CA!

    Ivette V.

Stopped in with a few people around 8pm on a Saturday. I ordered the chicken gyro and the Greek fries with fresh feta cheese. The food took a while to come out and it was a bit pricey for what we ordered. They forgot my husband's order entirely which had him sitting and waiting even longer. Once everyone had their food we were all content as everything came out well made. I like this place and it was my second time visiting so it seems consistent. I removed a star for the wait and forgotten order. Decor is very nice and the restrooms were clean. They have lunch specials which may be the best time to take advantage of the good meals at a reduced price.

There's plenty of seating inside if you want to dine in. The interior is modern, clean, and inviting with lots of greenery. Their menu is built on natural ingredients and bold flavors. You can choose from diverse options like salads, bowls, sandwiches, wraps, burgers, protein shakes, etc. They use grass-fed beef, free-range chicken, wild-caught seafood, and locally sourced organic fruits and vegetables. But I'm happy to pay for higher quality food... because what you put into your body matters A LOT ;) I've tried a little bit of everything and they're all delicious. The food is packed with vibrant flavors and generous portions of protein. My top recommendation would be the Big NY (~$16). It includes steak, onion, mushrooms, romaine, feta, and lemon cilantro vinaigrette. I usually get it on a whole wheat wrap and it is to die forrrrrrrrr!!! The steak is super juicy and tender. All of the ingredients work so well together! One bite and I was in love. I also love getting a side of baked sweet potato fries ($6). There was also a small bowl of udon noodles, some sashimi, a crispy tempura shrimp in a yummy creamy sauce, flavorful edamame, mashed potato with corn, and some pickled veggies - quite the diverse array, all of which was tasty. I think it's great for most types of occasions, and the only reasons it's not getting 5 stars is because I do think the prices are a tad higher than I would've hoped and I think they could've done a bit more in terms of designing the place to match the price point. I was excited to finally order dinner after hearing good things, but my husband and I were unfortunately disappointed with the experience. We ordered takeout for dinner: Toowoomba Shrimp Pasta with Tonkatsu and the Spicy Original Tteokbokki (rice cakes) with Fried Kim-ma-ri (fried seaweed rolls). The shrimp pasta had good flavor but the portion was way too tiny. After only three or four bites, it was gone. There were about 4 pieces of shrimp in the entire dish and they could've added more pasta, given that it's not an expensive ingredient. The tonkatsu was also underwhelming. It was a small piece served in a large container that made the portion size look even more skimpy. I was also disappointed in the tteokbokki. It was mostly sauce with no egg and only a few pieces of fish cake, again served in a container that was far too large for the amount of food provided. The kim-ma-ri pieces were fine but also very small. Overall, the meal was underwhelming. For a total cost of nearly $50, the quantities were just way too small. We were left feeling unsatisfied and still hungry.

A new AYCE revolving conveyor belt Sushi sashimi & roll place around the corner of Hudson Lights in…read moreFort Lee. The interior was very modern, unlike any sushi place hahaha and we were seated right by the belt. $40 unlimited sushi & roll with all the appetizers on the menu - except the sashimi. The appetizers were good (reminded me of Arigato in Edgewater), Takoyaki, human, edamame, udon, miso soup, you name it !!! Picking out the roll dishes from the belt is always fun, and I probably devoured 5 dishes of Philadelphia rolls !!!! I am not a big fan of spicy tuna or spicy shrimp rolls, so I focused on the seaweed salad, Chef's special and the Philadelphia rolls, As always, I went back to the appetizer menus !!!! Since it's BYOB, the appetizer ones were great !!! With the $40 (All day Friday, Saturday & Sunday) with 90 min limit, the quality was satisfying !!!! (Since I have been hugely hugely disappointed with the Kura Resolving Sushi by the GW Bridge. Will definitely come back and I do hope the quality remains consistent.

TLDR: Otter is a good idea but needs some tweaks to the concept and the overall execution. I went…read morefor lunch, enjoyable enough but felt like there wasn't much value or options. I would come back to try dinner. I wanted to try Otter for awhile and popped in for lunch. At $34.95 AYCE, the ambiance is nice but I expected more. Staff was very attentive and friendly. The belt itself I felt was marked but the plates were being just loaded where there was space - so the labels were correct only part of the time. The rolls were decent but it got to a point where each just tasted very slightly different so it started getting repetitive. Apps were fine but nothing noteworthy enough to order again. The options on the belt were much more plentiful than the ones on the menu to order. Lunch you're limited to only nigiri (sashimi is dinner only) and the options are pretty basic at just octopus, salmon, tuna, saba, etc. The belt design could be better, very slow pace and the divider on each side makes it that it's easy for the tables on the other side to grab things. We actually had the best seat where the items come out first but our neighbors on the other side started reaching out to grab things. This was at lunch which as I mentioned, had limited options - I wonder how much more primal diners will be in the evening with better choices. At $34.95 pp - would not come back for lunch. Just way too few options and I can't order what's on the belt. Kura for example, even if you have a crappy seat where most of the belt is picked through.. I can order EVERYTHING a la carte. I'd be willing to check out dinner to see what that extra $10 gets me. For lunch though - either the price needs to decrease or the options need to increase. I wouldn't recommend lunch service in its current form. Service though, A+++.
