    The Zeus Gyro

The folks behind the counter at The Gyro Spot were incredibly friendly and welcoming. From the moment I walked in, the service was warm, attentive, and efficient--something I always appreciate, especially at a busy casual spot. I ordered the Zeus gyro along with a side of fries. The fries came out piping hot, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. They were crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, and honestly some of the better fries I've had in a while. A great start to the meal. The gyro itself had great flavor--the ingredients were fresh, the toppings were vibrant, and the seasoning was spot on. Unfortunately, it was lukewarm when it reached the table. The taste was good enough that I kept going, but I couldn't help but think how much better it would have been served hot. A gyro with that much potential deserves to come out at full temperature, and I was disappointed that it didn't quite get there. That said, the overall experience was still positive. The friendliness of the staff and the quality of the ingredients make me believe this was probably an off moment in the kitchen. I'd definitely give them another shot because the foundation is clearly solid--and when that gyro comes out hot, I'm sure it'll be fantastic. Worth a visit, and worth trying again.

Ordered Gyro Spot not too long ago for a work meeting, and there were all sorts of things left out and incorrect items added to meals. Decided to give them another try today at home for lunch because we used to love them for the first few years they were open and was hoping it was a one off. My meal was a waste and went in the trash after three bites. The pork was cold and had an "off" flavor. One bite that I dodged was pure fat (see photo), there appeared to be several of those. The rice was a bunch of congealed clumps (see other photo) . There is no nice way to say it, it was disgusting. I don't know what has changed, but it made me sad to see the quality of food had declined so much.

Food was fantastic! I tried the Lamb & Beef Gyro and my son had the "Zeus" gyro which is basically all the meat. He loved it. Know that they stuff a few fries INSIDE the gryo wrap - and not 'on the side'. Interesting. The dill sauce is tasty, too. The atmosphere is lacking. Simple and very very basic. You can totally see the kitchen and prep, which is not something to really see (messy and seems a little dirty). This restaurant is really for eat and go, no lingering. Would go back. The food was good!

Today, I had the chicken gyro. The pita is so soft and delicious. The meat is tender and flavorful. We also had the beef and lamb bowls filled with rice. Located on Main Street w street parking. Definitely worth a stop in!!

Solid gyro, had the chicken one, very tasty. The fries are definitely over priced and not much to them. Id recommend the combo with the gyro!!!!

Did I go to the same place? I did not enjoy my meal, and did not finish it. That's rare for me. It was just too dry and flavorless. Maybe it's a go-to for certain crowds at certain times of night (I've certainly loved such places in my past), or maybe I caught them on an off night. Maybe not, who knows, I'm just struggling to reconcile my experience with the incredible rating on Yelp. I ended up buying more snacks elsewhere. I also did not finish the baklava...it was so disappointing. If I had inspected it more closely I probably would have not bought it, as it doesn't fully resemble what I'm used to for baklava. I see raving over it here...did I get a bad batch of this too? Where are all the delicate layers? Why isn't it sweeter?

This was my first time visiting this location and I thought it was pretty good for the value. I had a rice bowl with chicken/beef gyro meat and all the normal toppings. The ingredients tasted fresh and had good flavor. The location itself could use a little updating and maybe add some character so it's a little more inviting, otherwise no complaints!

The Gyro Spot logo art. It just looked cool.

The rice bowl is so good - sauce is so tasty! Love how you can combine different meats in one bowl.

It's been around for a long time and just never ate there. This was a call in order and picked it up and ate it at home roughly. My order was ready within 10 minutes by the time I got home they were still hot to eat. The price was right where I would like it to be. It was about $17 for two of the breakfast supreme burritos, one with avocado and sour cream which they charge extra for. The size and the weight of these burritos were more than plenty The flavor was OK. Next time I will not order this burrito again. I didn't care for the potato inside of the burrito. It seemed very overwhelming once I finished the first half so I picked them out. When I walked in to pick up my order, it was roughly at 7 AM in the morning and it was very laid-back and relaxed in there. They had all their fresh baked goods out on the counter, but as I said before, I definitely will go back and try something different from in there.

Got a sweet tooth? Go early before the pastries, cookies, and muffins vanish faster than you can say "carb loading." Prefer juices or smoothies? They got those too. Fresh, flavorful, and fully customizable with all kinds of boosts--because balance, right? Our go-tos are the Chicken Caesar wrap and the Reuben--both reliable crowd-pleasers. The salads hold their own too. Honestly, unless you're a picky eater or have food allergies, you can't really miss with any of their breakfast or lunch sammies. Even the sides pull their weight--pasta salad or fresh fruit are both solid picks. On a nice day, grab a seat outside and soak up the Manchester vibes. Not much to the atmosphere in the dining area, but whether you're corporate, casual, out of towner or a student, The Bridge is the vibe for all. Need the restroom? Just ask for the wrench--err, key--at the front counter. Whether you dine in or grab and go, you'll get what you pay for (in the best way) and leave fully satisfied--probably already plotting your next visit before you've even left the breezeway.
