I was pretty disappointed because a friend recommended this place and her hair always looks great. Unfortunately, my hair turned out very brassy. This does not usually happen with other salons I've been too. The hair dresser straightened my curly hair just to cut it, then color it. I was worried about the unnecessary heat right before coloring because that is more damaging. I also had to wait a long time for my stylist to finish another appointment. read more

Hair Company is a great Salon except for Jennifer Butterfield who has no business doing hair. I invested a ton of money with her to have extensions put in. I trusted her and thought she knew what she was doing. After two years of giving her $1000's She completely destroyed my hair . She removed my extensions with pure alcohol and very impatiently taking chunks of my hair out every single time they needed replacing. She was always rushed and unorganized making me feel like she hated doing my hair and just wanted to get it done and get me out the door. As time went on I became afraid to even ask for changes or if I didn't like something I just started not saying anything making me dread my appointments. The color barely lasted 3 weeks and I always ended up hving to touch up due to her not getting around my face and using poor quality products. She told me it was my fault the last visit i had with her that my hair was ruined. She said because I had too many extensions that she put in the weight is what pulled my hair out??The reason my hair came out was her ripping it out of my head! I would be sore for days after she replaced the extensions. On top of that she never scheduled enough time because it took her forever to complete my hair so i'd have to pay for another appointment when it was only half done which I hated. The cost and frustration of trusting her was too much! When I asked her to leave my extensions so I could pick them up to go elsewhere she put them in a plastic bag all stuck together in a big mess! Took me 3 hours to get them apart and the new stylist spent 3 hours removing the layers of tape jen left on and washed and made my extensions new again. In short..stay clear of Jennifer Butterfield. I think Hair Company is a great place and lots of great stylist so this is in no way a reflection on the salon itself. read more

Close to home - check. Easy access - check. Friendly smiles, modern enviroment, variety of product - check check and check. Plastic - "No, check or cash". Ugh. I was a bit embarrassed but Bob trusted that I'd return with payment. Whew. On a whim, I walked in and Bob was summoned. It was mentioned earlier that he had a "strong personality". I would say... Confident. I thought it to be kinda cute to walk me through my haircut as if I were having a medical procedure done. I really enjoyed my conversation with him and even though he doesn't do waxes, set me up with another friendly colleague that did it for me. I left a happy camper. I walked in to see if they had a hairstylist available for a cut and color. I made the appt for the cut which i really liked but the appt for the color never happened. I got a call the same day to cancel because cory did not feel well. Ok. That happens. They told me cory wanted to call me to reschedule. That was 2 weeks ago. Still have not heard from her. A bit disappointed. I've been going to The Hair Co. for over 6 years, every 6 weeks. The one time I call on a Saturday to see if I could get a hair cut. No color, just a hair cut. Left a message around 12:30. I called again, around 2:20, still no call back by 2:39. My usual lady was Kylee, and my back up was Holly. I really liked these women, but getting no response is not good business for either of them. I didn't have to get them, I just wanted a hair cut. I don't know who the receptionist was today 11-9-19, but she/he lost a loyal customer. Bummer for me. read more

I went to Rachel for cut and color, and I came out very happy with the cut and reasonably happy with the color, turned out redder than I'd hoped but my hair does that pretty frequently. Toni has been doing my families hair for years and she is the best. She is so skilled in so many techniques, I think she is one of the top stylists in Chico. You will love her. Barbara does my nails and they always look perfect, as well as last. You will definitely notice a difference between going to this beautiful salon and one of the "cheaper" ones. Just got a cut by Todd, the new stylist at Hair Co. He started right away even though I was early, and gave me exactly what I wanted. After the style was done, I asked him to add more bangs and he worked with me to give me my desired cut. Todd is highly recommended! read more

I was able to get in the same morning for a mani but not for a pedi. I had a french manicure done w/polish on my own nails and was very happy with how they looked compared to other places I've gone. Hopefully the polish will stand the test of time and will bump them to 5 stars :) read more
