We ordered the Chicken Platter which uses dark meat. I don't care for dark meat and wish that the menu indicated this. Also, the chicken was a little too mushy for my liking. And the Nan bread was not cooked through and was too doughy. If we did eat there again, which likely won't happen, I would try the beef. The chicken grossed me out. read more

This is as best as it gets! I am a huge fan and maybe this review will be biased because I love their food so much but I don't care! We have been to them countless amount of times with several family members. The meat has always been perfectly seasoned; the rice is cooked very well and the additional condiments are perfectly rationed for you (they give you plenty, actually). And, of course, this course is never complete without their special sauce. They keep the sauce in the fridge for anyone to get as they please.. which is awesome! The service is friendly.. they always welcome you and thank you for coming! I have seen the owner working with his team behind the serving line. Not as fun as standing in line at the original location and being surrounded by the sights and sounds of NYC, but the food is fabulous! The portions are huge and the price is right. I usually order the combo dinner and it's always cooked and seasoned perfectly. I don't use too much of the white sauce (because that one little packet is like 36 grams of fat!) and it still tastes good without it. A big caution on the red sauce, it is HOT HOT HOT! Came here during the holidays on a cold and rainy day. A few people were eating inside the restaurant. The place is pretty big and seems to have a good amount of seating. No one was in line and I was afraid my meat/food would be cold and dry. I ordered the large combo bowl for my wife and I and drove it 20 minutes back home. The portions are huge! We should have gotten a small ( or is it called regular) portion. The meat was surprisingly juicy and flavorful despite it being cooked awhile ago (when I ordered the food the meat was already cooked and sitting in a pile of cooked meat). I wonder if they were too hasty in their rush to open. There seem to be some kinks to work out. The AC in the place doesn't seem to have ever worked. If they can't keep that running, it's hard to imagine the meats being held at acceptable temperatures before cooking. The food tastes like a hot mess. My wife thought they were trying to make taco bowls with the flavoring of the meat. I think their best bet would be to close it down for a few weeks and try again once they regroup. Halal Guys has been a family favorite of ours for years now especially since we've had the pleasure of eating from their original food truck in New York City. That being said, I must admit that this Halal Guys location is the WORST to date. I wish there was another location closer to where I live because I would rather go there instead (that is how unpleasant my experience has been here). Their staff lacks professionalism but that's not all. Their chicken is dry and the gyro is too oily. The lettuce is always wilted and the tomatoes taste almost spoiled. However, the worst part of is that when you ask for sauce to the side they act as if they are doing you a huge favor. I bought three bowls today and they gave only two white sauces and 1 red and this was after I asked if I could have two sauces per bowl. This isn't the first time this has happened, this has happened almost every time I come here. And frankly I do not feel like arguing with a bunch of sauce mongers every time I'm trying to grab a meal for my family and I. None of the other Halal Guys locations ever give me a hard time about the amount of sauces I ask for and are always professional and more than willing to give me what I am asking for. But, this location not only gives me a hard time every time I've come in the past two years I've lived here, but apparently there is an charge for the sauces too. Which to my dismay only have a squirts worth of sauce in it to begin with. So please tell me what the hell I am paying extra for when the food sucks, the customer service is downright terrible and a few drops of sauce cost me more than a dollar. Very good! Cannot say how the flavor compares to the NYC location I'd been to years ago but this place is great. The meat is tender, veggies are fresh, and rice is hot. I recommend the chicken & gyro "Combo" for best of both worlds. They also have a falafel plate for vegetarians. White sauce is a must, an extra serving only makes the plate better! Place literally opened up days ago so it's very clean and open. Hopefully they'll maintain it as it gets busier. Had the pleasure of meeting the owner, which was cool. Been here twice so far, haven't been let down. While I've never had the OG Halal Guys in NYC, this still tastes pretty good to me. I usually get the combo platter, chicken admittedly doesn't taste as good as the beef, so I may opt for just the beef platter next time. Portion size is pretty filling, white sauce and red sauce are both delicious (red sauce is really, really spicy). Can't believe I haven't written a review. I discovered them maybe a year ago and I've been a regular ever since. Originally, I was an omnivore and tried all their options but now I only get their falafel platter. When I first started going to this location they had some teething pains but now it's quite consistent with speed and quality. I love rice, pilaf, etc. and you get plenty with the platter. The falafel is always fried to order so it always ends up taking 1-2 minutes to wait. There are two sizes of platters, regular which is huge and small which is slightly smaller. I always get regular and just split it into two meals. Most importantly, the falafel is good and freshly fried. The vegetables are always fresh. The white sauce is pretty neutral and I always have them put it everywhere. There must be a thing about their white sauce b/c you can buy extra or get packets of it. Service is always pretty good and this store is not that crowded, even during lunchtime. I love that it seemed the franchise started on the streets of NYC, having lived in NYC multiple times. read more

Love this place for a casual meal; you get a ton of delicious food and the service has always been fast and friendly in the three times I've been here. I can't vouch for how it is when it's super busy, but the staff is always friendly and attentive whenever I place my orders. I've only started coming here after the pandemic started to get takeout, but everything is kept clean, all the staff wear protective gear, and there are never any issues with safety, which I really appreciate. I also love that the menu is limited and simple, which means the food is usually very fresh. The beef is pretty greasy and it's a pretty heavy meal, but that's what makes it so delicious! Kind of irritated with this location. From the past times I've been here it's been nothing but disappointment in the service I've gotten here. I feel like when it comes to listening to what I actually want, the people here have such a hard time understanding simple tasks. I asked for one of their sandwiches with a little sauce on it and the guy drenched it completely almost as if it was on purpose. My pita was drenched in sauce and hot sauce and it ended up being so soggy and chewy, almost tasted like rubber. Not to mention the other time I came here I asked for my free side that I was supposed to get with the app since I used it for the first time, I ended up paying for my side and I was told that they couldn't refund me or anything and the lady proceeded to argue with me.
