I looked at available options in South Santa Cruz County, which would accept Medicare and provide physical and occupational therapy. Manresa Healthcare stood out to me initially because of it's smaller size, as it is easy for someone as nonverbal as she to get lost in a large institution., as it is easy for someone as nonverbal as she to get lost in a large institution. I was somewhat concerned when I saw that a year previously it had transitioned from local ownership to a larger company. However, when I toured the facility, I made a point of asking multiple non-management employees who had been there before and after the transition what impact the sale of the facility had had on their workplace. The answers were consistently positive. Furthermore, when I toured the facility, I was impressed both by how bright and clean it was, and by the layout, which is coming off of a single straight corridor, as opposed to a maze of twisting confusing hallways. straight corridor, as opposed to a maze of twisting confusing hallways. I am bringing her home today after four weeks at the facility, and I have zero regrets about my decision to place her there. I was particularly impressed by the accessibility of senior management. Within her first few days there, and throughout the entire time, I would routinely see the medical , the director of therapy and the administrator on the floor, and whenever they saw me they would make a point to check in on how my wife was doing, and whether any changes were needed. to check in on how my wife was doing, and whether were needed. The same was true of the dietitian, who met with me within a day of her admission to ask about my wife's food preferences. When my wife lost a few pounds in her first week there the dietitian met with me again to figure out what we could change to reverse that, which was successful. While institutional food generally has a bad rap, I was impressed by the menu, and I frequently checked on it by tasting my wife's food and it was definitely up to par., I was impressed by the menu, and I frequently checked on it by tasting my wife's food and it was definitely up to par. Within a week of her admission all of the staff knew and her by name every time they saw her. When she entered the facility, my wife was really unable to stand or use her walker due to the combination of her cognitive impairment, and the rapid loss of strength in the hospital. Due to the consistent therapy that she has received five days a week she's back to was before her hospitalization. Additionally, I have learned some new techniques that will help to keep both her and my back safe in the home. Communication with the director of therapy was constant and excellent Finally, I cannot say enough about the CNA's responsible for much of the daily contact with her. They were uniformly helpful and cheerful, and if the one assigned to her on a given day was busy one of the others was always willing to pitch in and help with whatever was needed. I cannot count the times that I was asked what else they could do for us. Of course, any elderly or impaired patient does better when they have someone in the family advocating for them, and I did that. However, in a facility with less accessible administration, I doubt that that would've had nearly the same impact..

So…read morerecently we signed up to work with her again through a PEP class for our 9 month old daughter who was not yet rolling. I agree with another reviewer that Beth is a "baby whisperer" and after all our experiences I would gladly recommend her. After working with Beth and following her advice, our daughter finally rolled over the day after the 3rd class. Quickly after that, she started getting into sitting on her own. We were disappointed that the last class was canceled only because we wanted to share with Beth our daughter's accomplishments in the two weeks since we had last seen her. Rose had even started crawling just the day before! Thanks Beth!

Over the course of about 9 months, Beth worked with my son to improve his posture, reduce his tactile defensiveness, and broaden his eating horizons. Beth is truly an angel in disguise with impeccable bedside manner. I would refer ANYONE to her. She's a "take no gruff" and "get the job done" type of woman who takes her role very seriously. If I hadn't relocated out of state, I would fight to keep my son under her care. Thank you, Beth, for making such a huge positive impact in ALL of our lives and for giving Luca the best chance for success as he continues to grow. You will always have a special place in my heart.

She has played such an important role in helping our kids build skills, confidence, and independence in ways that feel natural and encouraging. Over the years, we've also had the privilege of watching Michelle grow and build Child Sync and incredible team that works in the clinic. The students and therapists she has brought on are thoughtful, highly qualified, and clearly share the same philosophy of compassionate, child-centered care. It's clear that she has created an environment where both therapists and families feel supported, and that consistency shows in every interaction. Sessions are always engaging, purposeful, and tailored to each child's individual needs. Michelle and her team take the time to explain the "why" behind what they're working on and give us practical strategies we can use at home, which has made a huge difference for our family. What truly sets Michelle apart is how deeply she cares, not just about progress, but about the whole child and the entire family experience. Our kids genuinely look forward to their sessions, which says everything. We are so grateful for the impact she and her team have had on our family and would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for an exceptional occupational therapy provider

Our daughter sees Margaret once a week for occupational therapy and Mackenzie virtually once a week for speech, and the progress we have seen has been tremendous -- especially with emotional regulation, navigating transitions, and giving her tools that help her in everyday life. What I love most is that our daughter doesn't even realize she is going to "therapy." To her, it is pure FUN. She absolutely LOVES her therapists and literally asks when she gets to go back to the "indoor park," as she calls it. As a parent, there is nothing better than seeing your child excited to go somewhere that is also helping them grow and thrive. The entire OT Park team has also been incredibly understanding and accommodating with our family. Between illnesses, a surgery/health event, and occasional school conflicts, there have been times when we needed to switch to virtual OT sessions or adjust our schedule. We have always been met with empathy, flexibility, and understanding -- never stress or judgment. From Katarina and Sandra to Hiral, the owner, everyone genuinely takes the time to get to know your child, your family, and your individual situation. They don't make you feel like just another appointment on the calendar. They truly want to be part of your child's team and help however they can. OT Park has become such an incredible resource for our family, and we are so grateful for the support, patience, and care they have given our daughter. If you are looking for OT or speech services for your kiddo, I cannot recommend them enough. Truly one of the BEST places for kids and families!
