Avoid at All Costs - Dishonest, Unprofessional, and Poor Workmanship…read more I hired McCoy Handyman Services after seeing them referred on NextDoor to install window treatments in my home. I purchased all of the materials myself, and they came to perform the installation. Halfway through the job, I noticed multiple defects--scratches, bubbling, loose adhesion--and was told they'd either be fixed by the end or were "unrepairable." While I was not impressed with the quality of work, I agreed to move forward since this was meant to be a temporary solution. Then, before finishing the work, the installer demanded full payment upfront. Against my better judgment, I paid, trusting they'd complete the job properly. Unfortunately, when I was pulled into a work call, the installer rushed through the remaining windows, left without walking me through the finished job, and the results were even worse than before. by the end of the day, every installed laminate had delaminated and fallen off. I immediately contacted them, and while they initially promised to come back to fix everything, they repeatedly rescheduled, ignored calls and texts, and ultimately disappeared without resolving anything or issuing a refund. They refused to give me a supervisor's number, leaving me with wasted time, money, and materials. This company's behavior is dishonest, unprofessional, and unacceptable. They took payment for incomplete and subpar work, refused to communicate, and vanished. Save yourself the headache and find a reputable company that stands behind their work.
