No just no. From top to bottom. Rude staff, bad food, bad drinks, there's a reason it's so dark in there.

I must have had a really bad experience my first time a lot time ago because this time, I loved it!…read more Very tiny restaurant in Tennyson with limited seating. Hard to find local parking on wknds very busy street Cheesy garlicky bread $15 (five) pieces delish esp with ranch. It wasn't really garlic bread, more just cheese pizzas lol but it was very good. Save the leftover ranch for the pizza! Detroit style sour dough with pepperoni ricotta and banana peppers: This was soooo good. Came with 4 corner pieces $42 plus tip

24JUL2026 Cheeseburger & fries…read more A very good smashburger and a ton of Lamb-Weston scientifically-designed fries. I am a fan. 10JUL2022 A delicious lunch of Detroit style pizza (chorizo, jalapeños, pineapple) with some 50¢ beers and some regular priced. Excellent service fron Ashley and Crystal. The cool air inside was soothing on this 36°C afternoon. Enjoyed using our lifetime Beer Club memberships. We all survived Covid in 2020-21. 09JUN2018 Watched my 2-year-old grandson shove most of a kid's grilled cheese sandwich into his maw. Oh, and my sando was delicious and the service was excellent. 20MAR2018 A quiet Tuesday afternoon. Enjoyed a delicious Hogshead ale. 26DEC2015 Still crowded. Still has delicious pizza. Still has a terrific beer selection. Still has friendly staff. I am still happy. 05DEC2014 It was crowded. This is why no one goes here anymore. Ordered beer and drank some whilst in vulture mode waiting for 2 seats at the bar. Five minute wait. Ate a delious pizza and drank more beer. Happy. 14NOV2013 "Artisan Sandwich of the week: Turducken - Smoked Turkey, Chicken & Duck Confit, with Cranberry Walnut Stuffing, Bacon, and Sage & Apple Cider Gravy on a House Roll" This is an awesome sandwich. 08SEP2013 Cordon Bleu Chicken sandwich of the day. This is the BEST I have ever had. Very different. Slices of chicken breast with very smokey ham chunks in a dreamy cheese sauce with pickles. Yes, pickles. 16JUN2013 Fathers' Day. Walked in at 1415 and it was packed. Enjoyed great beers (3rd beer free!) and a 9/10 Reuben. Superb mango gazpacho. Drew and his crew make the best food. Great service as usual. Two kids (along with Mom and Dad) sitting at the bar. I hope they drank some beer. Still only 2 blocks from my house. 27FEB2012 What is with the Yelpers voting Hops & Pie as "not good for kids"? 1. All kids like pizza. 2. Some kids like beer. 3. Some kids like soda. I think Hops & Pie is great for kids and I see lots of them there whenever I visit. 08JAN2012 Why isn't it named "Hops and Mac"? As in Macaroni and Cheese and bacon, ham hocks, peas, IPA. Went on a Sunday afternoon (will I be happy when the Donkeys are no longer on TV) to drink beers and eat. Decided to "step outside the box" and ordered "Mac & Cheese" instead of pizza. This is the best M&C I have ever eaten in a restaurant and it will also make me step up my efforts at home. 18DEC2011 I arrive at 1347 which is 13 minutes before they open on a beautiful warm Sunday afternoon in Denver. There are people (shall we refer to them as "alcoholics"?) who are also waiting. When the door is unlocked (3 minutes early), 14 people rush in. At 1406, it is standing room only. What makes this place so popular? Could it be the Avery Brewing tasting flight? Rumpkin beer. Could it be the slice of the day: Cheeseburger? Could it be the excellent bartender service? Could it be the perfect bar atmosphere? Well, I won't tell. You need to visit for yourself. 05OCT2011 This time, we ate there. Excellent pizza. Very good service. 13SEP2011 making progress Free Wi-Fi. Always good. 31AUG2011 Walked the 2 blocks from my house and picked up an Artisan Pizza. Excellent. Super thin crust. Bursting with flavor. $2 craft beer in cans (6 to chose from) on Wednesdays. I really need to return and just work my way thru the huge beer selection.

We went to Colorado Plus for dinner since it was on our way home. Our waitress was really nice! We…read moretried to order 2 beers on tap and they were out of both. The crispy Brussels sprouts had a good flavor but the Brussels were so big that they didn't get very crispy, the bacon was also not super crispy which was disappointing. The burgers were good, a little smaller than expected. Also, only one stall in the woman's bathroom worked and it was out of soap. Overall this place was fine but I can't say we'll be back.

Asking for a booth, was told there was a wooden long seating in the bar and we would be welcomed!!! Not long after seated obtaining a "ginger ale, a nice man came out and stated - "per" "the Jefferson County Laws," no dogs allowed either in restaurants or we are not allowed to be together." Our service dogs are governed by ADA Laws!!!! NOT Jefferson County!! The place was baron of people save a few which are in this photo! After entering the place I did wonder if I was in the place I read on line??!!! Their site does not seem to represent my experience! Nor our "Non- ADA - Welcome" With regrets I must post a rather dismal review.

There are moments when human beings believe they are on a quest for higher knowledge. And then…read morethere are moments when they are just heavy objects being pulled toward the earth by gravity, wanting nothing more than a chair, a cooked piece of dough, and a cold glass of beer to dull the edges of the evening. The remarkable thing is that the second quest often yields the greater joy. Five of us, all varying degrees of exhausted from a long day of sightseeing, stumbled into Odell Brewing's Sloan's Lake Brewhouse at the corner of 17th and Perry. We were not looking for a miracle. We were looking for a soft place to land. We ordered our dinner, then ventured up to the rooftop patio, which looks out over the lake. I'm told that when the entire surrounding landscape isn't engulfed in flames that you can clearly see the jagged spine of the Rocky Mountains from up there. It is a very fine place to sit while the planet rotates away from the sun. They have a second bar up there that is just as well stocked as the one on the main floor, and the space was filled with the pleasant, low-grade hum of people who were glad to be alive and not currently looking at a screen. The kitchen turns out scratch-made pizzas, so we ordered a Margherita and a Garden Harvest. You must understand something about the five of us: we come from Central and Northern New Jersey. In our part of the world, opinions about pizza are not casual preferences; they are inherited like family heirlooms or chronic joint pain. To say that a group of Jersey natives found these pizzas to be genuinely good is a small miracle of regional diplomacy. They weren't trying to imitate a New York slice. They were just honest, well-baked pies with fresh ingredients, which is an honorable thing for a pizza to be. Then there was the beer. According to their website, this location houses a 10-barrel pilot system where they brew experimental, small-batch R&D beers you can't get anywhere else. I believe them. The fruited sour we sampled was bright and lively, the sort of beer that makes you wonder why so many other breweries get the style completely wrong. The porter was equally memorable, rich, dark, and smooth, with deep roasted notes that made it far too easy to drink. It was a beautiful piece of liquid craftsmanship. The staff was fast and entirely devoid of the plastic, rehearsed cheer you so often find in corporate franchises. They brought things out before we had time to grow cranky, and they seemed genuinely glad we had wandered into their corner of Denver. We had expected a purely transactional exchange of money for calories before going to sleep. Instead, we got a rooftop at dusk, exceptional beer, and the sudden, sweet realization that the day had ended exactly as it should. People are strange, fragile creatures, but occasionally we stumble into the right table at the right time.

Such a great spot. Awesome views, tasty beers, and phenomenal pizza. Couldn't get much better! Gets…read morebusy and can be very slow to get good, but wonderful vibes!
