We rented one of the deluxe cabins. The cabins are very well-maintained and very comfortable. We had a great weekend of hanging out, fishing, etc. We also rented the pontoon to take out fishing. Overall, great experience and the staff was awesome. The second time I came was to meet up with some friends again to see some spring training baseball in nearby Lakeland. We rented a different cabin this time which was slightly smaller and didn't have a loft. It was a bit too small for the 6 people that we would have there. This was my fault for not asking. We called the staff and they offered to let us have an extra cabin, the bungalow, for a couple nights. Once again, had a great time, and the staff was awesome Pros: Awesome staff, close to spring training baseball sites, within an hour of both Orlando and Tampa, on the lake, boat rentals available, good value. Cons: I would probably say it's not the place of you want to party. After 10 there is a policy against raucous noise. That being said, it was just fine for us staying up late and playing cards and such.

The place is ok if you just want a trailer park type of campground and fire ring and no cable or internet even when they advertise they have these services. Saw a bald eagle and a swallow-tail kite. I'd like to tell you about that, but that's not the review. Here's the review: if you book here, you will be checking into a bizarre combination of tropical paradise, tailgate party, spring break, and a middle school playground. On St. Patrick's Day, we had been doing some sightseeing. We came back to our site, and the folks who had arrived behind us fired up their music. I don't have a problem with music or other noise prior to "quiet time," so long as it's not over the top. This was way over the top. Kim was on the phone with the nursing home about her 91-year old mother and she couldn't hear the other end of the call. We called Security and asked for help, they came around and talked to the offenders. Whereupon the offenders started yelling around "who complained about our music?" And, they sent their preteen daughters on their bicycles going around and asking "did you complain?" Let's just say it was downhill from there. They jacked the volume even more, and started taunting us. Kim lost her temper and started yelling at them to quiet down. They responded by threatening her. She told me to call security, but since they hadn't helped, and the on-duty rent-a-cop had no interest in helping, I called 911 (which the campground rules said to do in an emergency). Apparently, that was a mistake. The rent-a-cop was pissed off that we called 911 when he was supposed to already be on top of it (which he wasn't). So there was a conclave of police cars, and the night manager, and the three large guys from the offending site, etc. Bottom line: management demanded that WE leave, in half an hour, or be arrested. It's 10:30 pm, and I told the rent-a-cop that I was in no shape to drive. "Figure it out," he said, and walked away. So two 70-year olds had 30 minutes to get everything packed up and drive to some alternative place. While we were striking the site, the kids at the offending site were chanting "we won, we won." And they started playing "Hit the Road You Jack" quite loud. And the adults were yelling "we're Republicans. We can do whatever we want." They noted our Maine license plates and told us to "go back to Canada where you belong." We ended up in a wicked expensive hotel in the next town over, paying spring break prices ($340 a night!!). And we lost the cost of two nights at the campground. So if you're a party animal, this may be your kind of place. Just don't complain about anything, or you will be asked to leave. It's interesting to note which rules are enforced and which aren't. For instance, there's a poolside bar, and lots of signs between the bar and the pool saying "no food or drink beyond this point." Not only was there lots of food and drink around the pool, there were wait staff taking orders and delivering it. In retrospect, the fact that they have a rent-a-cop cruising the premises every night should have been red flag. I've never seen that before, but apparently they expect rowdiness. They just don't want to deal with the negative repercussions.

Idk if this was inaccurate or if it was the humidity - but it was sticky hot in there I cannot recommend you stay there if you are temperature sensitive. Also - the lock and door didn't fit properly, so, if you weren't pulling the door shut it wouldn't lock. I was able to pull the door open without unlocking it upon check in.

I think if you are a senior citizen, this is definitely not for you. Also everything runs off of cash mostly, no credit or debit cards. We had a 2 night reservation and had to just leave early day 2. You ain't never experienced old Florida charm until you been here, the land of airboats and alligators, a place where the mosquitoes swarm at dusk and the screeching wildlife will wake you before dawn. Ahhh this is the life I love, a place where the internet struggles to connect you with the real world, the only agenda here is rest and relaxation, a place where chores are something you'll look forward to, most consist of filling the yeti with ice and can beer and visiting your neighbors on your golf cart or 4 x 4 ranger. There are no strangers here it seems everybody shares the same mindset. I spent five days here and I didn't want to leave when it came time to break camp. This place is known for its fishing and believe me they are plentiful, it's a simple recipe - catch / clean / fry. I like beer but I'm not a beer drinker I prefer vodka so I stocked up before arriving, finding beer is easy if you like the hard stuff it's a trip to town I'm guessing it at least thirty miles round trip and leaving the camp will break the vibe and there's no reason to do that if you prepare. There are no typical days here every is different but everyday is the same in the sense that you own one hundred percent of your time while you're here, it's a place you can turn your phone off and disconnect for awhile and forget anything else exist - I know I don't do that enough but I do know this is the kind of life we should be addicted too. Okay okay I'll review the place instead of the lifestyle that seems to be the norm here. Things to do: cross the street and you're in a beautiful State Park, find a shady spot down at the boat ramp and watch one of the best shows on earth there seems to be an endless number of unique water crafts being launch or being pulled from the water (airboats, bass boats, skiffs, pontoon boats, jon-boats, etc) I say with the utmost respect this place is like the redneck yacht club where everyone seems to have a buzz e.g people ride in the boats while it's still on the trailer going down the road - yes they are creeping along but it's still fricking awesome. I recommend you leave any pretentious behavior at home and pay attention to the dress code it's very easy to look out of place here - acceptable clothing includes - anything camouflage, women should have a few pairs of short shorts and a ragged pair of cowboy boots and any kind of top you can tie in the front, men shirts are optional but a stained tank top and a pair of Tevas gets you status. After the sunsets fire pit sitting beer drinking attire rules can I get a little yeehaw repeat day two and day three and so on and so on. Other highlights include a visit to the outpost store lots of beer and snacks, a indoor fish cleaning area and a bait shop, a outdoor projection screen, community fire pit, you can rent bicycles and pontoon boats or take a swamp tour on an airboat. They occasionally have live music which I hear is pretty amazing with an outdoor food court and beer for sale. The campsites are large and plentiful with full hookups with concrete or paver pads, they offer up to 50 amps, water and sewer all included unless you're planning on staying awhile then you pay for utilities. There are a few bars and restaurants, maybe restaurants is a stretch but you can buy food on property. There's a lodge onsite if you don't have a camper and still want to experience this unique venue. Theres lots more I don't think it's possible to take it all in at least not in the five days I spent here - I believe having a good cup of hot coffee at sunrise sitting in your favorite chair is nirvana, having a cocktail at sunset in the same chair by the fire pit will rejuvenate you, there's nothing wrong with freeing your soul once in awhile...

I asked her if I could authorize it over the phone she said no. I asked her if I could authorize it over email, she told me no. It was planned that I would come in later at the end of the week after my trip was over to come and sign the paperwork. Then she informed my boyfriend that he did not get approved to live there. So I called and I wanted my electric deposit back and to make sure I was not going to get charged for the upcoming month (since we never technically moved in, we were just paying rent to save our spot) and to get my $50 for my background check back because she told me they could not run it without my signature. She then informed me that she already ran my background check. I said that's really weird and shady because you told me you couldn't do it without my signature. And she was just standing on that she is not giving back my money because they already ran it. I don't even care about getting the money back at the principal is you told me that you could not run my background check and then you hung up the phone and proceeded to do it anyways. That is so unprofessional and the way the property manager handled it (I know if I say her name it's easier for her to take this review down but it starts with a K) I said, proceeded to ask the corporate number and she flat out told me no. Refused to give me a corporate number and then she gave me an email that is her work email. I think it's really shady that you're gonna act that way and then refuse to let anybody report it. I was about to stay at this campground for the next 1 to 5 years. And honestly, this must be a blessing in disguise that I don't need to be near that woman because even when I stayed her the previous year, she had a nasty attitude. I just hope this review helps other people protect themselves in the future because this company will dance along the line of doing illegal things behind your back. I had no problem if they had run the background check, the principal of this is that you told me you could not, hung up the phone, and then we ended it anyway without my knowledge. Update 7.12.26 According to their investigation and according to their " proper procedure" they " did not do anything wrong". If calling someone to let her know that you could NOT run the background check, informing her she HAS to come in to sign the bottom line, hanging up the phone and then proceeding to do the background check anyways is what this company calls "proper procedure", then I'm taking it as a blessing that my name will not be associated with a company that has such sketchy "proper procedure". An halfway apology does not seem genuine when you only respond through an online platform when I have complained. I asked for the corporate number and I was denied. I asked for a corporate email and I was denied. I'm glad to know you guys pay attention to your online reviews, and I hope you do better in the future when it comes to your "proper procedure"

The property is absolutely stunning -- over 500 acres of peaceful scenery filled with lakes, wildlife, and beautiful open spaces. We spent time exploring on a four-wheeler and were amazed by everything we saw, from alligators and countless birds to longhorn steers, goats, and ducks roaming the grounds. It felt like stepping into a hidden slice of natural Florida paradise. One of our favorite areas was the shaded grove of majestic oak trees with oversized swings where the children played and "hung out". It created such a relaxing, family-friendly atmosphere that made the entire trip feel magical. The campground itself was extremely well maintained. The restrooms and showers were plentiful, spotless, and clearly cared for with attention to detail. It's also exciting to see how much love and vision is being poured into the property. During our stay, they appeared to be expanding with what looks like a beautiful waterfront wedding venue complete with a gazebo and bridge -- absolutely picturesque. This was one of the most memorable family trips we've had in a long time. We had never experienced this type of camping before, having roaming goats, horses and steers mingling with us temporary residents. They employees round up the above noted animals and return them to their designated areas in the evening, so you need not worry about bumping into them in the dark or having them ransack your campsite during the night. They have a few rope platform swings for the kids, or adults if you want to sway. Fire pits and picnic benches are standard at each site. The lake views and hiking trails are awesome, with plenty of fish viewable from the raised shorelines. You can fish here as well, so bring your pole and gear if inclined. The onsite restrooms and showers were impeccably clean. The check in process was a breeze, albeit you need to sign your life away at the beginning. The check in staff provided a printed out scavenger hunt for the kids, who can win an ice cream bar if they find everything that is listed within the camp. The camp store was stocked with items one may have left behind, and reasonably priced. We would (will) go back one day!

Do yourself a favor and bypass this one.

The Resorts schedule they have activities to do daily and so much for everyone of all ages to enjoy. Our kids favorite thing they did was play glow in the dark scavenger hunt! We also ordered groceries from the nearby grocery store and they delivered right to our site!!! Live music at the Tiki Bar on the weekends and some days they even had food trucks available! We have never been to an rv resort that had such big concrete slabs to park on and they were completely LEVEL! Very nice picnic tables were at each site and a fire pit. I can't wait for the next Rally because we will definitely be returning!

I picked one in the low 400's...I think it was 405, because one on each side was empty. Fast forward to the day before I get an email about virtual check in. However it states I am in the mid 100's....so I call and inquire. At the time of the call there were 109 sites vacant. The girl proceeds to tell me if you dont pay a $50 lock fee. They can move me at their discretion. So I got moved....additionally, got here an hour early and had to pay $25 early check in. 109 empty spots and the pool is like a carnival cruise pool....SLAMMED! Only 2 small comfort stations. No shade to be found. We are here now, and this may well get updated for a vetter rating...or worse, who knows. But it seems like a resort that will nickel and dime you to death. And moving someone who booked, and paid in full is some shady crap....they are all about the money grab!
