Bryan W is the review that comes up when you search for Harmony Collection at Hanover. WE WISH WE HAD HEEDED HIS ADVICE! Of course, it was under different management in 2024, so we thought things may have improved. But our experience has been similar. Just during the month we were moving my husband's mother in, the Head of Nursing left. And administration has not honored some of the aspects of our agreement. In fact, when push came to shove, they outright denied them. Based on our experience, I would never recommend Harmony. The negatives far outweigh the positives when it comes to operational issues. Poor communication and lack of accountability from management top the list. My mother-in-law was there for over a month before she received her first bath. After complaining for weeks, we met with management. We were told that this would be resolved. A week later, we discovered they "resolved" it by moving her into a more expensive care bracket (without our knowledge). When confronted, we were told that she had never requested assistance with baths - or with anything else. This, of course, is not true, but I wonder why she would be approved for ASSISTED living in the first place, if she didn't require assistance. Additionally, if she did not request assistance, what was she paying for in that first care (assistance) level? And why did they give her a bath SCHEDULE? And why would I be complaining every other day about her not getting baths if I knew that wasn't part of her care plan? And why would they go along with me if THEY knew it wasn't part of her care plan? The questions are endless. I won't continue to elaborate, but baths are not the only issue. Eventually, management tired of my complaints. Everything we had discussed previously seemed to be no longer true, and apparently we have no recourse. I have reached out to upper management, but they have shown as little interest in hearing my concerns as lower management. I suggest you seek care elsewhere as operations have not sufficiently improved at this time. read more

I rarely leave reviews, but I feel it's important for families considering this community to know about our experience. My mother moved into the Independent Living community about a month ago, and unfortunately, it has not been the experience that was presented to us during the leasing process. We were told there would be weekly entertainment, an on-site chef preparing meals, housekeeping services, and readily available maintenance. Since moving in, we have found that many of these representations were inaccurate. The meals are prepared off-site, not by an on-site chef as we were led to believe, and the food has been consistently disappointing. The move-in process also started on the wrong foot. My mother's move was delayed because the apartment did not have working air conditioning. Although we were told the apartment had been deep cleaned, the kitchen cabinets were dirty, the washing machine was covered with soap scum, and it was clear it had not been cleaned to the standard promised. There have also been ongoing maintenance issues, including a malfunctioning dishwasher and an exterior door with a noticeable gap that allows light to shine through and lets the air conditioning escape. What has been most disappointing is that the Independent Living community does not feel like the active, engaging environment we were promised. We understand the campus also includes Assisted Living and Memory Care, but it often feels as though Independent Living lacks its own identity and focus. My mother chose Independent Living because she wanted an active lifestyle with opportunities to socialize and participate in activities, but that has not been her experience. Moving into a senior living community is a major life decision, and families depend on honest, accurate information when making that choice. We hope management takes these concerns seriously and makes improvements so future residents receive the experience they are promised. read more

I caution anyone who considers this Assisted Living facility for a loved one to NOT use this facility. I placed my mother into the Assisted Living facility in early January, and in less than a month, I had to remove her from the place. This place is run horribly. In fact, since I removed my mother from Harmony, the Executive Director and also the Head of Nursing have left. My mother who received dialysis three times a week was most often not given her medications in a timely/scheduled manner. The turnover with the nursing staff was frustrating-- I had to constantly micromanage my mother's medications --Constantly explaining and re-explaining her dialysis schedule and protocol (I.e., she neededa bag lunch to bring with her in dialysis days, and often the staff forgot...) The safety alert necklace/button that we paid $150 for was defective. They replaced it with another defective one. The button would go off without her touching it, and then sometimes when she DID press the button, it didn't work. It was nearly impossible to get in touch with any staff member from 8pm-8am-- on a daily basis, anytime we would try to call the front desk after 8pm and before 8am, NO ONE would pick up the phone! My mother fell one night at the facility. The alert button didn't work, and she had to drag herself to the telephone to call us at home (post 8pm) No one answered our calls to the facility so we had to call 911 just to get EMS to come to her aid. Their marketing agent (Heather) was coercive and duplicitous. The billing officer is incompetent, and none of the administration would honor some of the specifics of their own contract. They advertise using an app to keep families informed and we were also told this on the tour. Upon move in only a couple weeks later we are told they are "moving" away from that app. They have an app to pay rent but that doesn't work either and they won't provide login info because they are also moving away from that. I am completely in the dark about what is going on with my father. Is he eating, taking his medicine, participating in activities, etc.? They are still using a pad and paper at the front desk to have residents sign themselves in and out as they come and go. Why is this done on a computer so the entire staff has access? Am I really supposed to believe if the nurse comes to give his medicine and he isn't there, she is going to walk to the front desk and thumb though the pages to see where he is and when he is coming back? Food is good but they advertise 7am-7pm. Then upon move in my Dad is told he can't get breakfast until 8am, even though all the signs around the dining area still say 7-7. May seem like small stuff but it adds up when you are spending nearly $8,000 a month and not getting any information. THere were other far less expensive options but I was under the impression we would be getting more than those other places offered. I was wrong.

I was expecting more questions but I thought, "Well, it's a pretty basic job. Maybe she doesn't need to know too much." At the end of the interview I was told, "I'll be calling everyone by the end of the week "either way" so you all aren't waiting around wondering whether or not you got the job." I had not heard anything by Friday afternoon so I called and asked if a decision had been made. I was told the Administrator was out that day but I could leave her a voice mail. I did so and asked her to call me on Monday. Monday and Tuesday came and went with no call. I called back on Wednesday and asked again about the job. I was told by the person who answered that she would check with the Administrator and would call me back. To this day I still have not heard back. Of course, I'm certain I did not get the position, but I find it EXTREMELY unprofessional that I never received the promised phone call. Needless to say, I am no longer interested in working for this organization. If this is the way they handle applicants, I have to wonder how the residents are treated. What a sad way to run a business.

I ended up getting fired being 7 months pregnant for a clocking in/out issue. After a very very rough week (I had to clean double the apartments this week I got fired being pregnant) this would be a total of 50 apartments in a 7 day work week!! Yes so I did forget to clock in or out. I got accused of not being at work a day that I definitely was and instead of checking with clients they assumed I wasn't there. I got fired basically because I was not liked and I was a liability for being pregnant. I was also accused of lying and was attacked and retaliated against for speaking up on a few incidents involving the SUPERVISOR that was bestfriends with ASHLEY. that is why I was targeted to get fired. The residents are way to good for this shitty company who has taken over their home. They have upped their rent 2 times in less then a year and overcharges them for everything. This is not an ideal place to work. We also was only down to 2 housekeepers of a 115 room complex. That is a lot of work for one pregnant housekeeper and another worker. Yall suckkkkkkkkk

Dr. O'Shanick and his staff started taking care of me in 2006, two years after I received a…read moretraumatic brain injury from a dog attack. From 2004-2006 another local neurologist was treating my daily migraines and many other symptoms from the (as of that time undiagnosed) permanent brain injury that I received in the dog attack. This other neurologist's ONLY treatment for me was Vicodin, which was not helping me, it was only making it worse. He did not listen to me nor do an MRI. At the time that I first went to CNS I was barely able to speak in full sentences. Each morning would start with me being sick, from waking up with a migraine, so I could not be around bright lights w/o extreme pain in my head. I had a severe balance problem causing me to fall down three flights of stairs fracturing my spine in several places. I could go on, but you probably get the picture. Dr. O'Shanick listened to me. He properly diagnosed me and helped me with O.T., Speech Therapy, got me off of the Vicodin and on proper migraine therapy. After two years of daily migraines and not wanting to leave the darkness in my home, I finally started to function again! I could remember words when I would have a conversation with my kids. The migraines slowly went away, thank the Lord! I stopped falling, learning how to deal with my balance being 'off'. In short, thanks to Dr. O'Shanick, I actually feel 'human' again. That can only be understood by someone who has suffered a brain injury. I do still have ringing in my ears, but unfortunately that is permanent. And hey, considering how bad I was, I'm doing pretty great! And I give all the credit to Dr. O'Shanick and his staff. Martinea Mease

There's a movie room for the residents with puzzles and games as well. The common room held craft programs, musical guests and other activities. My mom's suite had two rooms and a bath, with plenty of closet space. It was comforting to her to be able to furnish her space with her own furnishings and pictures. The staff was extremely accommodating and warm. The nurses were gentle and empathetic. It always difficult when your loved ones decline and eventually pass, but the people here made the transition easier to endure and process. Their dedication and care gave us peace of mind.
